reVel+stOKe(d)yOutH(15-30) =?Be Part of the Equation...

What’s missing from the equation?Okanagan College is asking local youth (those 15-30 years old) just this! Okanagan College has recently been awarded funding to carry out a Community Youth Assessment and develop a comprehensive Youth Action Plan (The ‘YAPlan’!) for Revelstoke. The first step is to connect with local young Revelstokians over the next few months to hear about the things that make life in Revelstoke great for youth, as well as some areas that could use some work! The plan is to engage young people from the very beginning to ensure they have input into the entire assessment process, and that the recommendations made in the Youth Action Plan are a clear reflection of their vision for Revelstoke’s future.

Focus groups will be held in various locations in the community. People between 15-30 years of age will be encouraged to attend and give their input. The following topics will be explored:

• Entertainment, Recreation & Culture

• Education, Training & Employment

• Home, Health & Safety

• Connectivity, Citizenship & Engagement
