Administration interface
This section describes known issues in the Oracle Commerce Cloud administration interface.
27013715 Profile gender defaults to female for all users
The user profile gender property has a default value of female. If you have the shoppers specify gender using
this property, any shopper who does not specify their gender is considered female. This will cause a problem
when you create audiences using the gender profile property, because shoppers who have not specified their
gender will incorrectly evaluate as female.
Workaround: Create a custom property for gender.
26883822 A promotion’s end date cannot be later than December 31, 2049
If the end date on a promotion’s Availability tab includes the year 2050 (or later), Commerce Cloud displays the
error message, “End Date must be after Start Date.” This happens because the End Date field interprets years
starting at 2050 as starting at 1950.
Workaround: Do not set the promotion’s end date to later than December 31, 2049.
26528637 IIN promotions are not applied to accounts configured with approvals
If an account is configured to use any form of approval criteria, the account will not receive any IIN promotions,
whether the current order requires approval or not.
6 2 Known Issues
CCVS-1327 Multi-level Items that include the same product must be priced the same way by an
external product configurator
If you are working with an external product configurator system that supports a hierarchical structure for items
available for purchase on your Commerce Cloud store, multi-level items that contain the same product must be
priced the same way by the product configurator system. If the items are priced differently, they will be merged
into a single multi-level item and only one of the prices will be applied to the merged item. This can cause
unexpected results.
Workaround: Price multi-level items that include the same product the same way in an external product
configurator.
26368220, 26368223 You cannot drag a product or collection to a part of the collection tree that is
not currently visible (Safari and Firefox 52 only)
If you are working with the administration interface in Firefox 52 or any version of Safari, when you try to drag an
item to a place on the tree that is either above or below the collections that are currently visible, the tree does
not scroll to show more collections.
Workaround: Add a product to another collection on the product’s Collections tab. Reorder collections using the
keyboard.
22017846 The administration interface does not display in Norwegian (no) for some Norwegian
micro-languages
If the browser’s preferred language is Norwegian Nynorsk (nn) or Norwegian Bokmal (nb), the Commerce Cloud
administration interface should display in Norwegian (no). However, the administration interface displays in
other languages, most often English.
Workaround: Select Norwegian (no) as the browser’s preferred language.
21546398 Accented characters in passwords prevent users from logging into the administration
interface
Administration interface users can successfully create login passwords that include uppercase and lowercase
accented characters, but then cannot log into the administration interface with those passwords.
Workaround: Do not use accented characters in administration interface passwords.
22490376 Coupon codes that start with < or > cannot be deleted
You can create and save coupon codes that begin with < or > characters, but you cannot delete these coupon
codes later.
Workaround: Do not start a coupon code with the < or > characters. These characters can appear anywhere else
in the coupon code, though.
24664039 Import lets you create and updates products with no list price
Oracle Commerce Cloud allows you to import products with blank list prices in the CSV file. If the import
updates existing products in your catalog, their list prices are changed to 0.
Workaround: Reset the null prices by importing the products again, this time with the correct list prices for each
price group your store supports.
2 Known Issues 7
23018839 Exporting a coupon batch adds items to the Updates to Publish list
If you export a coupon batch, Commerce Cloud adds entries for the coupon batch and its promotion to the
Updates to Publish list, even though exporting the batch is not a publishable change and there is no need to
publish the items.
23654293 Internal IDs are sometimes displayed for promotion types on the Marketing tab
The names of promotion types in the New Promotion menu and a new promotion’s details page are sometimes
replaced by their internal IDs.
Workaround: Clear your browser’s cache. This restores the display of promotion-type names.
CCAD-888 The value of a property in the base product type overwrites the value of a property
added to a custom product type when both properties have the same ID
Each property ID must be unique within your catalog, though the Oracle Commerce Cloud interface does not
always prevent you from creating multiple properties with the same ID. If a property in the base product type
and a custom property in a custom product type have the same property ID, the value of the property in the
base product type always overwrites the value of the property in the custom product type.
Workaround: Make sure each property ID is unique within your catalog.
CCAD-2486 Hidden files are included in the upload report when you upload a ZIP file created with
a Mac
If you compress media files in a ZIP file with a Mac, a number of hidden files (a .DS Store file and a hidden file for
each media file) are created in the ZIP. When you upload the ZIP file, the upload summary lists the hidden files as
files with errors.
Workaround: Download the full report to see if any media files caused errors, or if all errors are related to hidden
files.
26110856 The order link sent within the ‘order placed’ email may direct the shopper to a default
site
Upon placing an order and receiving an “order placed” email containing an order link, when a shopper clicks the
link they may be directed to a default site rather than the one where the order was actually created.
For example, let’s assume that Site A has a default language of English and an additional supported language
of French. When a shopper places an order in French and receives the ‘order placed’ email containing the order
link, opening the link displays the site in English and not French.
SiteMetaDataService().getExtensionSiteSettingsAsJson() returns the disabled gateway details
Before changing the generic gift card extension to the Chase gift card, disable the generic gift card. If this is not
disabled, the site view model will populate the validations from the generic gift card extension.
21851931 Text Snippets are not displayed when the English country-specific locales en_CA and
en_AU are set in the language picker
When en_CA or en_AU are selected, the Text Snippet Type drop down view does not display and only the user
assistance text is displayed.
Workaround: Ensure the language picker is set to English without specifying an English variant.
8 2 Known Issues
25136581 Cloned web content widgets reference the same rich text element as original widgets
When a web content widget that contains a rich text element is cloned, the clone references the same rich text
element as the original widget. However, the clone should have its own copy of the rich text element so it can be
independently edited.
25140281 Cannot use keyboard to access Searchable Field Ranking and Thesaurus
In Microsoft Windows 10, when you use the Chrome, Internet Explorer 11, or Microsoft Edge browsers, you
cannot use the keyboard to access the items in the left-hand navigation list of the Search tab. Because of this
issue, you cannot use the keyboard to access Searchable Fields Ranking and Thesaurus.
27504234 The Customer Service Overview report does not display filters when there are multiple
audiences
When multiple audiences have been configured, the Customer Service Overview report filters are not displayed.
The data will be displayed for all Sites and for all Price Groups within the default Reporting Currency.
27504234 Amounts in decimal numbers are being rounded
Within the Sales Collections report, numbers are rounded by 2 decimal places. For example, 37.53$ in total net
revenue is being displayed as 38$ within the graph.
27504234 Promotion discount is displayed in reports for an order with no promotions applied
(but has appeasement)
The Sales Orders report displays a promotions discount for orders when no promotion was applied, but an
appeasement was given on an item price. The promotion should not contain a discount amount and should be
zero (this is not shown in the Sales Promotions report).
25768488 Avoid using commas in the values of audience rules
If you use a comma within a value of a rule in an audience definition, you might get unexpected results. For
example, if you enter a single value with a comma, the resulting rule contains two values instead of one. A value
entered as “green, lime” results in two values: “green” and “lime.”
Workaround: Avoid using commas in rule values.
Storefront
This section describes known issues in the storefront.
21854293 Error notifications do not clear after resolving the errors on checkout and cart pages
On the store’s cart and checkout pages, several error messages remain visible after the errors have been
resolved.
22911731 Using pagination controls on the product listing page displays 404 message
Style based products which span several pages may display a 404 error message as their pagination controls fail.
Workaround: Turn off style based listing in the Product Listing widget.
2 Known Issues 9
26536024 When switching to pay by invoice, the IIN promotion is not cleared
When a shopper switches the payment type to pay by invoice, all IIN promotions should be cleared before
checkout can occur. However, if IIN promotions are associated with the item, the promotions are not cleared.
Workaround: Return to the invoice payment options and remove the credit card number. Doing this starts a new
pricing operation and removes the IIN promotion.
26930705 Price range dimension not generated when you add prices to a price group
Price range dimensions are generated only when a full baseline update is performed. Adding prices to a price
group, however, causes a partial update to be performed, rather than a full baseline update. Thus, you must run
a full baseline update in order to generate price range dimensions that account for any prices that have been
added since the last time a baseline update was performed.
Running a full baseline update generates price range dimensions if none existed previously, or regenerates price
range dimensions to replace existing ones that no longer accurately reflect the prices in the price group.
Shoppers can, however, navigate to new products and prices before a full baseline update has been run.
Workaround: You can run a full baseline update using the “Full Export” option of the /ccadmin/v1/search/
index endpoint. For information about this endpoint, refer to the Oracle Commerce REST API documentation.
CCVS-1911 Recurring charges are not being passed for the top-level item in a multi-level order
When a shopper adds a configured multi-level item to their cart, information regarding any recurring charge for
the top-level item is not being passed through to Commerce Cloud from CPQ Cloud.
Agent Console
This section describes known issues and workarounds for Oracle Commerce Cloud Agent Console.
27569006 For an approved order including CPQ items, price info details missing from the Order
Items list
For an order including CPQ items that has been approved and is in the pending payment state, on the Order
Details page, the Order Items list does not display price-related information.
Workaround: Refresh the Order Details page, and the contents are properly displayed.
27569006 For clickable images, shopper inputs are not displayed for an add-on item
When shopper inputs (for example, a gift message) are added to an add-on product after the cart has been
created, the associated inputs are not visible to the agent when editing the order or completing an incomplete
order.
27556078 Add-on item is not removed from the main item when deselected from the product
detail page dialog
When the update order button is clicked for an order where the add-on selection for a main item has been
cleared, the add-on item still remains added to the main item.
10 2 Known Issues
AA-1025827504161 Exchange order is created with disassociated shopper input
When placing and processing an exchange order with add-ons, shopper inputs (for example, a gift message)
that were removed or disassociated from the add-on product continue to be displayed with the exchange order.
27223458 CPQ: Add to purchase list menu should be disabled in sub item product details dialog
On the Create Order page, when adding a CPQ product to the cart, when clicking a sub item link, the displayed
dialog shows the Add to purchase list menu as enabled.
25339547 Scheduled Order instructions are not sorted as expected
Scheduled Order instructions cannot be sorted in reverse chronological order of the date on which an order is
updated.
24664035, 24677635 Inaccurate refund calculations for shipping to multiple addresses
During a split shipping scenario, the refund calculations are not accurate when promotions are applied or when
using price override.
Workaround: Refunds need to be adjusted manually to ensure that correct refunds are made.
24424565 Unable to edit addresses for anonymous orders
When an agent is editing an order placed by an anonymous shopper, the shipping address cannot be edited.
Workaround: Add a new address in those cases where the address must be edited.
Internal attribute value is not retained
The internal attribute value at the order level is not retained once the order is placed.
23713756 Free gift added as a gift-with-purchase promotion is not automatically removed
The free gift added as a gift-with-purchase promotion is not automatically removed when any price override
happens on the main item.
Workaround: The gift can be manually removed from the order.
23654943 The promotion is not adjusted when returning the main item from the order
In an order with a BOGO promotion, if the free items are returned first and then the main item is returned, the
promotion adjustment does not occur.
Workaround: The refund amount can be manually adjusted.
23339460 For some BOGO promotions, tax is calculated incorrectly
In certain cases with multiple items, the tax refund being calculated does not add up to the order total.
Workaround: Adjust the tax refund amount in the Refund Adjustment screen.
21860980 The session timeout warning is not shown
The warning is not shown to the shopper if the session is about to expire.
Workaround: The system shows the login page again. The agent can log in again to continue.
2 Known Issues 11
21856044 Agents are unable to use email address as a criterion when searching
Agents are unable to search for unregistered shopper orders (or anonymous shoppers) using their email address
as search criteria.
Workaround: Use other search criteria, such as Order ID or Shipping Address, when searching for orders created
for anonymous shoppers.
24011012, 24011026, 24011045 Incorrect refund and exchange calculations with volume pricing
When volume (bulk and tiered) pricing is set for sale price and list price is set for simple pricing, returns/
exchanges do not calculate properly.
Workaround: Adjust refunds and exchanges manually to ensure correct transactions are made.
24354943 Pricing failure message with repeated application of gift-with-purchase promotion
coupon
If the same gift-with-purchase promotion is applied again through a coupon, though this promotion is not
getting applied, a pricing failure message is displayed, which is not consistent with other item level promotions.
Workaround: Remove the already-applied promotion and try making a pricing call again by either updating the
quantity or selecting the address, which allows checkout to continue.
REST APIs
This section describes known issues in the Oracle Commerce Cloud REST APIs.
CCSF-9988 Specifying an invalid external-price quantity for externally-priced add-on products
causes unexpected results
If an externally-priced main product includes add-on products that are also externally priced, specifying any
value other than -1 for the externalPriceQuantity property for the main product and all of its add-on
products causes an error. Note that if an externally-priced main product is associated with internally-priced add-
on products, you can set the value of externalPriceQuantity for the main product to any number.
Workaround: If add-on products are externally priced, make sure the externalPriceQuantity property is set
to -1 for both the main product and all its add-on products. This ensures that the main product and all its add-
on products can be externally priced.
27117043 Shipping surcharges are not calculated for add-on products
If an add-on product’s price includes a shipping surcharge, the surcharge is not calculated when the order is
priced.
Workaround: None.
26866153 “Nr” parameter no longer present in the Search Results and Navigation pages
Default queries to the Navigation and Search Result pages no longer contain the Nr parameter in the URL.
The Nr parameter is still supported; however, due to performance optimizations, the default price group filter
contained in this parameter is no longer required.
12 2 Known Issues
Workaround: Custom integration code that relies on the Nr parameter being returned should be tested to ensure
this continues to function correctly.
25768491 Change to error code when setting defaultLocaleId of a site object to null
In versions of Oracle Commerce Cloud prior to 17.2, using the updateSite endpoint in the Admin API to set the
defaultLocaleId property of a site object to null resulted in the following error:
{ "errorCode" : "27000", "message" : "Failed to get the locale with ID null", "status" : "500"}
In version 17.2 and above, the following error results instead:
{ "errorCode" : "30003", "message" : "Missing required property: defaultLocaleId", "status" : "400"}
25839951 Requests from Postman HTTP client on Chrome browser fail
If you issue API calls using the Postman HTTP client that runs in the Google Chrome browser, you may receive
403 (Forbidden) errors. These errors are due to Postman including an Origin header that is rejected by
Commerce Cloud.
Workaround: There are several workarounds available, including configuring Commerce Cloud to accept the
default Origin header, using Postman Interceptor to explicitly set the Origin header to a different value, or using
the Postman native application (which does not send an Origin header). For more information, see the following
support document:
https://support.oracle.com/rs?type=doc&id=2245936.1
26567677 Audience rules don’t work for Shopper Type and B2C users where profileType=null
The Shopper Type property is not available in this release. If you are an account-based customer, and created
an audience that used the Shopper Type property in a rule prior to 17.4, when you upgrade to this release and
open the audience in the Audiences interface, the rule will return an error.
Workaround: Open the audience in the Audiences interface and remove Shopper Type property or the rule

CCAS-2135 Issue when refunding shipping
In Oracle Assisted Selling, while processing a return for an order that has multiple quantities of the same item
that were shipped to different locations, the sales associate will not be able to tell that the individual items were
sent to different shipping addresses. Instead, the items on the order will be represented as different selectable
items. If the associate refunds the shipping cost, the shipping fees may not be associated with the correct
shipping group.
27590697 - The Partial Payments feature is not currently supported by Oracle Assisted Selling
If you have enabled partial payments on the Commerce Cloud agent server you use to connect to Oracle
Assisted Selling, it is possible, in the case of a failure of one of multiple payments applied to an order, that the
order will enter a state where the order cannot be completed in ASA, but would need to be completed using the
Agent Console application. You can avoid this situation by not enabling partial payments on your Commerce
Cloud agent server.
