Open Secure Automation, OSA™ is the foundation on which our system and company was built. Contrary to a common misperception that a platform can’t be both open and secure, it is the very concept of an open, standards-based design that establishes the foundation for advanced and intrinsic cyber security.

Most customers use SCADA applications in conjunction with our control products, so a necessary extension of our intrinsic security model is to extend it to the networks and applications associated with SCADA. We are working with a number of open standards-compliant SCADA providers to deliver on our promise of “security that just happens,” and will communicate our joint progress to you in the coming months. Watch for your favorite SCADA provider to be a part of the next step forward in OSA.   

Fall is a time we associate with going back to school, and to that end we recently announced an educational discount program for schools that teach controls engineering. Our industry’s next generation needs access to modern and open programming languages and cybersecurity technologies. The Bedrock™ platform offers the most in depth training across PLC/DCS/RTU/PAC environments available, and our integrated development environment (IDE) is offered license-free to students and instructors. The future is bright for a new generation of innovators.

City of Lynchburg Wastewater Treatment Plant Implements Bedrock™ for Simplicity, Scalability and Security. “We want to transform from a centralized to a distributed approach using edge controller capabilities. Bedrock enables us to use remote monitoring, bringing many devices online into our SCADA system for the first time,” said Jason Hamlin, SCADA Manager, City of Lynchburg.

Growing Midstream Oil and Gas Service Provider Selects Bedrock™ Open SecureAutomation Platform. Pinnacle Midstream, a Houston-based supplier of storage and processing services for the oil and gas industry, has selected the Bedrock™ control system as the automation platform for its crude oil receipt and delivery points.
