Model 386 LNGPeterbilt’s Model 386 LNG has been recognized as the industry’s fi rst alternative fueled vehicle to obtain the EPA’s SmartWay designation. The Model 386 LNG vehicle offers optimal fuel and emissions effi ciency with horsepower and torque equal to a diesel-fueled engine, making it the ultimate environmentally sound performance solution for line, bulk and tanker applications. The alternative fueled vehicle is powered by the Westport GX engine, offering up to 475 horsepower and 1,750 lb-ft of torque.

The Cummins Westport ISL-GCummins Westport’s ISL-G natural gas engine is a 9-liter, spark-ignition engine that integrates robust diesel components into an engine specifi cally designed for natural gas. The ISL-G does not require active after-treatment, such as a dieselparticulate fi lter (DPF) or selective catalytic reduction (SCR). The ISL-G offers high displacement for superior horse-power, impressive low-end torque, transient response, and increased fuel effi ciency. (320hp/1,000 lb.-ft. of torque.)

Westport HDThe Westport HD natural gas engine offers class-leading emissions and performance while maintaining equal horsepower, torque and effi ciency to a diesel-fueled engine. The 15-liter Westport HD engine uses high pressure direct injection, proprietary fuel injectors, specialized cryogenic fuel tanks, and associated electronic components to facilitate robust performance and reliable op-eration. This technology doesn’t compromise on engine torque, power, fuel economy, or drivability, and also reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 25%. (up to 475hp/1,750 lb.-ft. torque.)
