THE PITCH: UNPAINTED PATH

By Tom Harris

SYNOPSIS •People will do dangerous things for money, this girl is

no exception, she ripped off the most dangerous man in town, and now she must pay the price. Set in the corrupt urban city of Brighton we follow this clever con artist as she runs from the best hit-man around, but you cant run forever! Will she live or die? Only time will tell.

THREE ACT STRUCTURE

1. Jenny's childhood was hard, she was poor and lived a second class life, when she was 15 she ran away from home and vowed to never be poor again, she moves to the big city and marries a rich business man (our stories hit man). Jenny sells a buyer a painting. The buyer finds out it’s a fake and hires an assassin to kill jenny.

2. The assassin (who is her husband) follows jenny around town, a chase takes place. They realise they are chasing each other.

3. They both decide to choose money over love, they decide to try to kill each other, they evade each others murder attempts and decide on a final showdown in an abandoned building.

(Means it will feature in the trailer)

OUR MAIN INFLUENCES

This influenced us through the narrative and plot twist in our

film.

The ideas of a hit man and stealing

The revenge themes and filming

techniques that are used were also

influences.

The crime and artwork used in this

film helped us to decide on key aspects

of our film.

“a large sum of money”“she’s selling a famous painting”

“calls a hit man to kill Jenny”

TREATMENT PART 2

“a fast paced chase”

TREATMENT PART 3

elaborate schemes and plans, but they both decide to meet and put their abilities to the test in a final showdown in an

abandoned building.

Script for Treatment Part 1At the beginning of the trailer we will introduce our main

character, Jenny. She’ll meet up with a buyer who she’s selling a famous painting to. In return of the painting Jenny receives a large sum of money. However, Jenny is a con artist and has

forged the painting; which is a fake. The buyer finds out and calls a hit man to kill Jenny.

Script for Treatment Part 2However there’s a twist, the hit man and Jenny

are actually husband and wife in reality, they find out, but due to their broken down marriage the decide to keep the money and kill each other.
