Today tomorrow

It’s yesterday again

Screaming at each other

Again and again

Today should’ve been better

But it’s yesterday all over

Tomorrow I am sure

The pain will be the same

As you are thinking of me

To be two but of one

Such as you and me

I know you can hear

Feel and see as I see

For what’s done is done

My inner depths

Just one step

In your own time

That single step

Will help you in time

It’s a start of the motion

To get you in your stride

And propel you forward

To leave what was

Holding you behind

Just one step

When you look back
