Description:A web page to show the logo that I created.

    Programs used:http://validator.w3.org, Notepad ++Photoshop

    Date:June 27th, 2015

    Course & section:COMM 130 Section 3

    instructor Name:Ben Pingel

Objectives:Write content describing the process of how I created the logo and how it appeals to the audience.Design a web page using HTML.Acquire HTMLknowledge and the basics of CSS.Compress multiple files in a zipped folder as one.

process:I used a pre-made CSS document that was provided and linked it with my HTML. I then got my colors from my logo to use for my web page. To find the correct colors I used the eyedropper tool in Photoshop. I changed the fonts to Palatino Linotype for my title and Arial Bold for my body copy. I added some padding to the title and to the margins to move the text down.

Description:A spiritual poster made by combining two images, and the use of typography.

    Programs used:Photoshop

    Date:May 30th, 2015

    Course & section:COMM 130 Section 3

    instructor Name:Ben Pingel

Objectives:How to manage layer in Photoshop.Blend images using masks.Use different filters.

process:I started out by cropping the image of Jesus Christ at 8.5 X 11. Once the background image was the correct size I opened the image of the temple. I used the lasso tool to cut out the temple to then add it to the background. I used the black paint and 100% capacity to get paint off the edges of the image. Afterwards, I continued to adjust the levels of the opacity to make the temple image to blend in with the background. Once I got the image where I wanted it, I then added hue/saturation to the temple to make it stand out. When I was done I added the message to my image.

  • brochureDescription:To create a basic trifold brochure using InDesign and Adobe Illustrator to create a logo.

    Programs used:Adobe IllustratorInDesignPhotoshop

    Date:July 11th, 2015

    Course & section:COMM 130 Section 3

    instructor Name:Ben Pingel

Objectives:Create a basic tri-fold, folded document. Create a text wrap around an image.

process:I set the margins where they needed to be in order to separate each flap to create the tri-fold brochure. For the body copy, I used indent spacing so that there would be enough space between each paragraphs. The inside of the brochure is designed to be like the flag of El Salvador; blue, white with the emblem, and blue. For the foods and activities section, I used the same indent spacing for the body copy to have repetition throughout the brochure. Under the activities section, I placed an image and made it overlap into the brief history. The body copy for the brief history is wrapped with the tip of the wave. When I found a wave image, I used the quick selection tool in Photoshop to get the wave shaped the way I wanted.

I opened the image in Photoshop to begin applying the basic edits; levels, sharpness, saturation, and color balance. When I finished applying the edits I began creating my design. In Photoshop I used tools such as; the polygonal lasso tool, clone stamp, type tool, brush tool, ellipse tool, and the quick selection tool. I added the color swatches, the color scheme title, and the color names.
