Aren´t we all daydreamers? Who has not been waiting some times in his life on a redtraffic light and had been away from all this what is happening around him.

I am fascinated by their inspiration of daydreams. It has something sureale but it is also tangible because they are our fantasiesdreams and wishes.

Here are two drawings, which I have outlined in a moment of daydreaming.

The photo series is a photo workshop at theTechnical University of Braunschweig in care of Wolfgang Zurborn.

Theme of this work is transformation and limit states.People and materials have reached their limits and startto transform by using each other.

The material is heated in a strong limit state and is transformed by the artist by strong and long strike. The artist on the other hand gets to his physicalborders through this again and again strong hits to themetal.Object and human becomes to one.

The task of this project is to design a museum of photography for Andreas Gursky, Thomas Ruff, Bernd & Hilla Becher.

The Museum is in the city centre of Düsseldorf in front of the drama school. The inspiration for the conception of the museum is a photo of Andreas Gursky and Bernd Hilla which i put together.

There you can see that the different functions are separate and connected with tunnel. So i decide to design a museum where the diferent exhibitions are separate, the visitors can choose which part they like tosee. The buildings are connected with closed window bridges.Inside the buldings the visitors have to walk in a circle to see the artworks. The exhibiton areas don´t have windows, because the daylight destroies the photos. Just in the staircases and in the bigsquare which is the main bulding of the museum are windows. The main bulding based to the mainstreet and has two entrences. Also the exhibit halls are very high, because of the photos which are

oversize. The new park based to the drama school and is closed to the main street, so the citizen could take a break in the city centre

In consideration of existing open spaces in the neighborhood these open spaces devolp areas of actionfor culture, to creat a polar opposite.Since culture in the city means socialization and communication, i try to counter with the natural park agains separation. The emerging areas are clear subdivided according to their functionality. There is a covered stage, which is located under a pool of water, which fill up with rainwater and sufficiently high water levels can form a curtain of water by overflowing. This area is dseigned to show film and theater.Another platform is floating in a pool of water and is different easily accessible depending on the water level. From this point on, for example, the artists and students could make their paintings. The platform with a pergola covered overgrown with plants, which is located infront of the museum can be used for traditional dance performances. On the left side of the station a sculpture garden is planned. Sculptors have plenty of space for the production and exhibition of their art.The area includes a land art installation on the left end. These are two spirals which run into each other and twisted slightly in their height offset relative to a hopper. Depending on the water level, the stairs are used to linger. The formfinding from the throughway of the park is inspired by the curved shape of the Rio Calle Calle.

Along the throughway are runners and walkers separate by green strips or trees which are breaking through.

The climatic conditions are account for the whole planning of planting for a southern chilean wetland. Desirable is an expansion of the plant over the entire area. So shall the course of time, the spread of the plant and the water become observed and experienced.

AArchitecture is functional tangible art.Humans need both for his well being. His very practical architecture which already has its own aesthetic, he decorated with matching art. Thus, the physique and psyche is satisfied.Space, body and spirit become a harmonious composition.

This project is a german school in the capital of Costa Rica.

In this campus are more than 400 children, they start here in the nursery school and finish at the end of the high school. So they will spend around 15 years in this campus.Therefor it has to be a place where they feel good and also to respect the nature and learn how to live with her.The classrooms are separately, the nursery school, the classes from 1-4, 5-9 and 10-12 are together. Also the canteens and schoolyards are separatly not to mixe up the little children with the older teenagers. The hole campus is on a hill in the noth of the city. So I desgin a area which is stepped, because of this it is possible tohave a nice view from every room over the hole city.

The climate in San Jose is very comfortable mild but rainy almost the hole year. So therefore the best way to air-conditionthe rooms is a natural vertical transverse system of ventilation. This is also one reason why every classroom is constructed with flexible panorama windows on both side. The main energy strategy is to design a campus with renewable energy.Because of the position of the sun it is perfect to recover the energy by solar energy.

The hole complex is in nature and doesn´t need any electricity supply and water from outside. The rain is collected in cistern and is used for the toilets and watering.

This project is a free workshop of three weeks. Task is to design something around the dam.The dam is in Eckertal, Harz, Germany. There was also before 1989 a boundary on the dam.The idea of my project is to create a Land Art Istallation on top, inside and through the dam.So the citizen discover the part of the dam new, of this huge landscape. They can´t just cross the dam on top, be cause the part of the old boundary is excised, but they can pass trough. The visitor has to get inside the dam for a short part and comes also out on the same level of the water. In wintertime they discover on the other hand of the dam a kind of waterfall. I try to play with the dam like a Land Art Installation, because the level of the water changes in summer and winter time, so the visitor can experience differnet things. It is also a very historical part, because of the boundary on top of the dam. I create a new kind of boundary, but crossable. So the visitors feel a kind of a boundary and remember the history. A simple module, which looks like a C is the main construction. The advantage is, it is flexible. So you can open and close it. Because of this you can play with the view of the visitor and also with the look of the installation.

NATURAL PARK, VALDIVIA DIPLOMA THESIS

INSTITUTE OF LANDSCAPEARCHITECTURE WS 2012/13 MUSEUM - URBAN - CONSTRUCTION -DESIGN - ART

The area is in the south of Chile, in Valdivia.

Because of the closeness to the pacific ocean and the direct location on the river Rio Calle Calle and the fact of a rainfall with 2500mm/m2, water is a important part of the 153 500 inhabitants of Valdivia.

The city was overflood twice in their history, because of natural catastrophes. They left behind large wetlands and even today, standing under nature protection, characterize Valdivia. Valdivia still has a large cultural influence. Today, yearly many cultural activities such as theater and film festival, paintingand sculpture competitions, and traditional dances take place.

The current landscape park recorded the site of a derelict railway station in the size of 13 hectares at the widest point of the Rio Calle Calle, Valdivia.

A gathering place where people of different race, culture and opposed to eachother. Culture is defined precisely in the confrontation with difference, so the the train station is a pefect place to represent cultural debate.Picking up on these ideas this project deals with the connection of the station area with the element of water and the dealing with cultural issues.Because of rising sea levels, the creation of additional wetlands along the banks of the Rio Calle Calle is very likely, the design responds preventive to such developments. It is a life with the changing nature. Also the culture is constantlychanging. I creat a new layer above the parcel. Access to the area resulting in three places and derives from the axes of the tapering roads.

The station building is to be preserved, it is being restored and will be used as a historical museum. Even a barren building without a roof will be integrated into the design. Over wooden footbridge to achieve and to committo the old building encourage to rest, relax and exchange. To these historic elements new fields of action for cultural exchange will be created.

INSTITUTE OF DESIGN AND BUILDING THOERY SS 2012 MUSEUM - URBAN - CONSTRUCTION -DESIGN - ART

This is a follow-up project of a workshop of ten days.We live in an age of speed, not only the technology, but with mankind racing to be developed. Architecture is a part of thisongoing development, and it ought to adapt dynamically and comprehensively to provide the best possible sense of well-being in that context

The trend is to have that happen through the form of “smartphones”. These are designed to simplify everyday tasks, but also as a symbol of prosperity. They even operate with a custom language called QR-code designed, mainly, to publish information only accessible to those who can afford to have a smart phone that can read it.

The starting point responds to this idea of a dynamic, public architecture that emerges literally and formally from the QR-code we created for the Eiszeit Kino in Berlin-Kreuzberg. My intervention explores this dynamic architecture through an ergonomic study of men, women, and children that aspiresto transcend cultural and racial differences I use the ubiquitous classification known as (S, M, L, XL) which have been adapted to various uses in order to shape this new, open space. This space works as a remote location adjacent to the Eiszeit as a pleasant social area in front of Görlitzer Bahnhof, with its own bar and food service, that triples as the ticket sales booth for the cinema.

The sculpture is a steel frame covered with fine cloth. It creates a certain sense intimacy in its core as a small agora. At the edges, the visitors can lean on and sit down so that children, women, and men can eat and drink, have timefor leisure, even lie down and soak up the sun.

Museum of Oriental Art, Istanbul.

INSTITUTE OF DESIGN AND COMPOSITION WS 2009/10 MUSEUM - URBAN - CONSTRUCTION -DESIGN - ART

This project is a museum of oriental art in a religious part of Istanbul. The museum is in Ortaköy ,Istanbul, in front of a old mosque complex, which is using the faculty of architecture from theUniversity Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar.

We have been in Istanbul for visiting the city and the area. There in the mosques i saw different oriental mosaics and got the inspiration for the conception. There are two exhibition areas, the small one for temporary art and the main building for the old oriental artworks. The museum is based on the mosaic which you can see. I divide the hole square in 4 smaller squares and use split-levels for the exhibitions. In the middle of the squares are the staircases. On each level the visitors can choose on which side they will go up and down.

The idea of the ground plans are also based on the mosaic. There are also areaway inside, which are tipical for the arabic architecture. The facade is a abstraction of one of these mosaics. It is a facade with elements, with different holes inside. This holes are able to open and close to regular the daylight inside. And also to decorate the facade by day or night like a oriental carpet with different pattern.

FOOTBALL STADIUM, BRAUNSCHWEIG.

The task of this porject is to design a new roof for the stadium by using only the program Maya 2008.

The conception of the roof is to intimidate the supporter and player of the opponent. Because of this reason, is the construction higher at the part of the southcurve of the stadium, this is the part of the ultra supporter of Braunschweig, and becomes lower to the part of the opponent supporter. The effect is that the supporter and their player feel more unwell and the player of Eintracht Braunschweig more stonger with their supporter in their back.

There are two entrances, the main one is from the main street Hamburgerstrasse, where is also the train- and busstation. The other one is from the part of the southcurve, which is only for the Eintracht Braunschweig supporter.

The stadium is bury in the ground, so the visitors enter in the middle of the tribune and have to go up or down to take their seat. To find a conception of the module is experimental. This element is created by conecting the buildings by lines with eachother, which are around the stadium. Than i constructe a module which is simple to move for opening and closing the roof.

Around the stadium is normally a older factory of VW. I thought it will be better to use the hole area. So i decide to make a sport park for Eintracht Braunschweig. There is their training area, but also a lot of different typ of activities for the citizen.

The task of this urbanism project is to design a new campus for the University of Karlsruhe. This project is a groupwork and we design a new campus and it is also a competition, where we have been in the final round.

The area is 12 km far away from the city centre of Karsruhe, but we construct a direct railway between KIT and the city. The train connects also KIT with the other citys around.

The conception is to design a campus where the students can work, study, live and enjoy their free time.So we use the double of the space to integrate all this different atcivities inside.

There are different areas on the campus, the right part is for the university and the institutes. The left side is for the students to live and enjoy their free time with sports, culture, shoppingmall, market and park. There is also a nursery school for the families with little kids.

We design modules for the different functions. In the middle of the campus the modules are close and high and outwards they get lower and more separate. There are 3 main places on KIT, the entrance, the “brain“ which is a huge science centre and the shoppingmall. This parts are also connected by the train. The buildings for the families are smaller and have their own garden.Inside the bigger and higher buildings are living the students from all over germany and the world, because there are also many foreigner students for doing their master.

Thailand, a country where tourism booms.Just last year around 16 million tourists have been there.Peolpe are coming from all over the wolrd to enjoy their vacation.

Topic of my design was to creat something symbolic for Thailand.

I was inspired by the shape of the map of Thailand. I interprated the shape in two diffe-rent ways with different sides of use.On the one left hand side it look´s like a chair and whereas on the right side reminded me of a divan bed.So because of this inspiration, I decided to design a bench with two different sides of use. One like a chair and the other like a divan bed from which you can enjoy the nice temperatur of Thailand.

It is a massive wooden bench with a metallic frame. It´s ment for outdoor use, in front of the hotel, in the park or around the swimmingpool.

The task of this small project is to construct a tent for a openair thearter in Braunschweig.

The theater is in a public park in Braunschweig, Germany.

This is also a group workshop of only ten days. The first 5 days we learne how to calculate this kind of construction and the last 5 days are for the tent design

So the part of the form finding is a bit experimental, but we have some ideas before we start. It is not a random construction.

First we have to calculate all, for the details. After that we choose some examples which we would like to use for and optimate the dimensions.

It is on a conceptual work, basedthe issue of climate change. The biggest problem of climate change is thepopulation increase. This is very nice to recognize at thedevelopment of the subway in New York City.

Here are three (1923, 1974 and 2005) of the standingsto recognize the subway network.

These are different from each other in color. The city is in red, it has the shape of a heartand works by linking the car.
