Baptisms/New Members - Pray for those who are baptized and who joined the church by confession of faith this month. Pray for God’s protection during this vulnerable time in their spiritual walk.

KidQuake - March 16 & 17 - Pray for these one-day spring break camps. Pray for unchurched friends to have a positive introduction to church and learning about Jesus. Pray for church kids to develop a passion to learn more about Him. Pray for safety for everyone involved.

Palm Sunday Evening of Praise & Prayer - March 20 - Pray for this evening devoted to preparing hearts for Passion Week. Pray for the Holy Spirit to tenderize the hearts of those in attendance to desire to draw closer to the foot of the cross.

Easter Weekend Services - Pray for Good Friday services (March 25), that the passion and death of Christ will reach into the hearts of those in attendance. Pray for the Easter services (March 26 & 27), that they will lead people to want to experience Christ deeply every day. Pray for the message of the cross and resurrection to penetrate the hearts and lives of those who don’t regularly attend church. Pray for transformation and renewal.

Abide Women’s Conference 2016 - April 8-9 - Pray for the Holy Spirit to prepare the hearts of the women who will be attending this conference to be sensitive to the teaching. Pray for husbands to support their wives’ attendance. Pray for speaker Jen Wilkin as she finalizes her preparations of the material and for her safe travels.

Praise God for hearing our prayers! We are rejoicing for these blessings from the February Welcome & Prayer Cards: “Rejoice with me. God provided strength to take a surprise layoff gracefully.”

“Rejoice with me for several opportunities to share my faith with classmates.” We are praising God for several births: a son to a late-in-life mother, and granddaughters to two families; as well as pregnancies and the hope of new life.

Sharon Goertz (Avant Ministries, Mali) has two points of ministry focus: ministry to women, and helping produce discipleship resources. She regularly meets with pastors’ wives for mentoring, teaching, and encouragement, and she works to enable them, in turn, to teach and disciple women from their churches. She has been in Canada for the past couple of years, for a season of rest and healing. (www.avantministries.org) Please pray: For Sharon’s physical health. For discernment on what the her next season of ministry will look like. That the church in Mali will grow in the midst of the current national

instability. Barry (& Marlene) Hamm (Reach Beyond, Ecuador) gives leadership as the Director of Information Systems for HCJB Radio in Quito, Ecuador. Broadcast over radio waves and internet, HCJB provides evangelistic Christian programming with the desire to have people hear about and encounter Jesus. Please pray: That many people will hear the gospel and enter into a relationship with

Jesus as a result of this media ministry. That people who come to faith will be able to become integrated into a local church context. That Barry will have the ability to keep up with ever-changing technological needs and possibilities. For a growing prayer and financial sending team for the Hamm family.

CHINA: Church-Affiliated Kindergarten Director Released Having served two years in prison for allegedly “engaging in illegal business operations,” the director of a church-run kindergarten in was released on February 17. Officials alleged that she and three others printed character-education textbooks without government approval, and then sold the books . Their lawyer defending countered that the books were sold to cover the printing costs and that authorities were targeting the school because it was founded by a church. Praise God over this good news and the resulting joyful reunion she is now able to enjoy with her husband and children. Please uphold the others as they await their release from prison. March 8-14, pray for Pakistan: that Christians targeted by strict

blasphemy laws would speak wisely for both military and terrorist lead-

ers, that they would encounter and heed conviction that Christians being persecuted by their fami-lies will be faithful wit-nesses

March 15-21, pray for Somalia: for Christians in Somalia who are

isolated from the larger Body of Christ

that God would keep watch over and strengthen his remnant flock in the country

that God would work in the hearts of al-Shabaab militants who are hunting Christians

March 22-31, pray for Sudan: for marginalized and persecuted

Christians to forgive, love and pray for their persecutors

for Sudan’s leaders, that their hearts would be radically changed by the gospel

Pray for Christians who could face the death penalty if their conver-sion from Islam is discovered
