Before using on painted surfaces, plastic or rubber, a small amount of 292 should be placed on the surface in a non-critical area. Wait about 15 minutes and check surface for attack or softening. If damage has occured, do not use product. Apply the product directly to the surface to be cleaned or immerse the part/equipment into the product. Allow a short time for 292 to attack the soil. In some cases, with stubborn deposits, mechanical action should be used. Wipe the part/ equipment with a absorbent wiper or allow the part/equipment to air dry. Cleaned mechanical equipment, bearings, chains and other moving parts should be relubricated before returning the component to service. DESCRIPTION Chesterton ® 292 Precision Degreasing Solvent is a fast acting, industrial strength solvent blend that is performance designed to clean and flush away oily and greasy sludge, grit and grime in a single application. Chesterton 292 provides rapid evaporation and low odor while accommodating users with an acceptable flash point. Chesterton 292 replaces kerosene, mineral spirits, xylene, toluene and halogenated solvents and is the environmentally safe alternative to solve difficult degreasing problems. Chesterton 292 penetrates quickly to instantly remove oil, grease, wax, tar grit and grime leaving virtually no residue and requiring no rinsing.
