What? Dirty and unmaintained display board

Why is it important?This board is supposed to be used to inform important information, to share or to display educational articles.

How to fix it?• Create a new display/poster • Clean the display, by wiping off the graffiti from the glass • Repaint the frame

How to maintain? • Keep the display up-to-date. Update the display every months.• Create rules, consequences for people who vandalize the facility.

Limitations• Requires money to change the display and buy the paint• Who’s going to paint it? No workers? (probably?)

What? Abandoned playgrounds. Broken and rusty. This playgrounds can cause harm and injury to children if it is left this way, why? Because, some of the rusty parts of the bars are sharp and it can harm the visitors, especially children. It can also cause injury, for example when hanging around on the monkey bars, the bars might not be strong enough to hold the weight due to rust. This might cause serious injury

Why is it important?The purpose of this playground is for exercising. The majority of visitors that visit Taman Kota have the purpose to exercise. And if the facility that can be used for exercising is broken, means it doesn’t support the visitors purpose.

How to fix it? Fix the playground, change the metal bars Place a warning board (temporary solution)

How to maintain? Check the playground every months, check whether there’s a broken parts or not Build a roof on the playground, so that when it rains the metal doesn’t get wet. This will make the rusting process slower.

Limitations Requires a lot of money. Difficult to do. Not my level. Who’s going to paint it? No workers? (probably?)

What? Slippery path. Especially after raining. Slippery path can also cause injury and accident. Such as slip or falling. This can cause both serious and light injuries, either way it still has the potential to cause injuries.

Why is it important?The path is where everyone walks, therefore it needs to be safe. The pats is also a place for visitors to jog

How to fix it?• Make the ‘smooth’ concrete path become rocky and rougher. Because by then, there are more surface for the feet to cling on.

How to maintain? • Clean the path every time soil sticks into it. • Create rules, consequences for people who vandalize the facility.

Limitations• Requires money• Difficult to create• Rough path can cause more scratch than smooth path.

What? Empty spaces. There are nothing in these empty spaces, only soil. Instead of leaving the space empty this space can be used for other purposes.

Why is it important?The path is where everyone walks, therefore it needs to be safe. The pats is also a place for visitors to jog

How to fix it?• Build a sports court (basketball, badminton, volleyball or all of the listed) • Build a small garden, possibly, organic gardens.

How to maintain? • Keep the nets (for volley and badminton) when it is no longer in use or when it’s raining• Maintain the small plants (water, fertilize)

Limitations• Requires money• Will be difficult to maintain in the future. Like, the nets or the basketball ring. That is additional effort. • Difficult to create

What? No animals. “5 years ago, when I was visiting Taman Kota, I would see a lot of butterflies hatching eggs in the trees”

Why is it important?An animal species determine the health of the environment itself. With animals, there are more interaction between the visitor and the nature.

How to fix it?• Create birdhouse/ rabbit house

How to maintain? • Feed the animal • Clean their dirts

Limitations• Rabbits are too difficult to take care• People might catch the animal
