What is Plus More?

How many activities can I do?

How can I find out more?

Why do extra activities and enrichment?

The Plus More enrichment programme offers you a wide range of extra-curricular activities to get involved with. Whether you wish to develop a skill, support your wellbeing or have fun and make new friends, we have an activity you can get involved with. Activities include student leadership, becoming a peer mentor, joining a club or joining virtual groups. To find out more about activities and how to join, visit our websites and Moodle pages at www.eastcoast.ac.uk and www.lowestoftsfc.ac.uk.

You can do as many as you like outside of your classes. Some activities run every day/week and some are limited dates, both on campus, within the community or virtually.

You can try different activities in college and the community, learn new skills to increase your confidence, increase your skills for employment, apprenticeship and university applications.

Online - Check out Moodle, our college websites, wellbeing newsletters on student email and social media pages. On Campus - Take a look at our noticeboards, ask a member of staff, student ambassador or contact our Student Wellbeing team at East Coast College by emailing [email protected] or Lowestoft Sixth Form College by emailing [email protected]

Careers EventsThroughout the college year students will have various chances to attend events on and off campus, supported by local industry. Students will be able to ask questions, gather information, and apply for work experience and apprentice-ships. This will include visits to local industry to gain experi-ence and knowledge first hand of the local labour market.

Work Experience/VolunteeringStudents on Level 2 courses and above will undertake work placements and work related experiences as part of their qualification. This helps develop transferable skills to enhance employability. This can also help students gain an insight into how their chosen industry operates on a day to day basis. This can be used to support CVs and personal statements for future applications.

University TripsOur UCAS leads and NEACO will offer students the opportunity to attend University trips. They will allow students the chance to visit campuses and learn from lecturers and students about university life.
