Dear Potential Sponsor,

The Startup Summit is an emerging global phenomenon that gathers innovative minds and provides them with the support to turn ideas into real businesses. Since its inception in 2007, there have been over 700 Startup events in more than 300 cities around the world. I am very proud to announce that Queen’s University will be hosting its very own Queen’s Startup Summit in March 2013. The Summit is a 54-hour event where participants pitch their ideas for a business, and the best ideas are selected and developed by delegates over the course of the weekend. Delegate groups consist of both business roles and technical roles, which encourages students from all faculties to participate. Industry professionals and Startup veterans will provide support and guidance to the delegates, as well as judge the teams at the end of the Summit.

At Queen’s University, we encourage students to apply their knowledge through innovation, and we hope to maintain a culture that fosters creativity and ambition. The Queen’s Startup Summit is an incredible opportunity for students to become immersed in a very realistic Startup environment, and develop both their skills and their professional network throughout the process.

The Queen’s Startup Summit Executive team is tasked with hosting the very first Startup Summit, and is devoting countless hours towards the successful preparation and execution of the event. However, the success of Q.S.S. relies on substantial support from organizations such as yours. As a sponsor of Q.S.S., your organization will be seen by top undergraduate students from Ontario and Quebec and a variety of faculties.

I am very excited for the first annual Queen’s Startup Summit, and it is my hope that you will consider supporting Q.S.S. 2013 with your spon-sorship. Thank you for your interest in the event, and we hope to see you in Kingston for the Summit in March.

Yours truly,

We are thrilled to welcome the exceptional effort and collab-orative spirit devoted by our remarkable delegates. Without their drive, enthusiasm, ideas and work there would not be a weekend.
