This letter of request for support is being directed to you as Incoming DG of District 35B based on the dedication I have witnessed for your commitment to Lionism through the VIP Tournament and the many other activities that you promote for Lions serving and supporting others that share our values. •T The program is off to a great start with 15 participants in the winter indoor program and we believe that this program fits the mission of Lions in serving the blind and, in our case, allows us to expand our partnership with the RI Veteran Affairs - Medical Center, Dept. of Visual Impairment Services and other partners, supporting the program, such as the East Bay Rowing Assn.. The next step for the local RI program is to move outdoors in the Spring The organizers of this program for blinded and disabled veterans are now looking to expand the program in to Connecticut as the next step in their ultimate goal in making this experience to veterans throughout New England.
