Stunning New Series About Our Catholic Faith Coming Soon Symbolon, a new online, video series clearly presents the beauty,
breadth, and richness of our Catholic faith. This series takes us to
Rome, the Holy Land, Calcutta and elsewhere to help us under-
stand our faith as vibrant and relevant to each of us today, drawing
us closer to Jesus Christ. Symbolon is made up of 20 video
sessions using an online platform, giving all parishioners the
convenience to watch whenever we wish. By accessing with our
parish code (via computer, tablet, phone, etc) the videos will be
easily available to view individually, as a family or by joining a
small group. Symbolon is likened to "Catholic Netflix" with no
cost to you. Stay tuned for further details and how to sign-up so
that you can participate in this great opportunity to come to know
and live your faith with greater understanding, love and joy!
‘RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation) Starting in Early Fall Have you ever thought of becoming Catholic? ... Or do you
know someone who might be interested in becoming Catholic? ...
Or, are you an un-Confirmed Catholic? ... Or do you wish to
simply find out more about your Catholic Faith? RCIA classes
are for those who wish to become Catholic, or simply Confirmed
in the Catholic Church, or simply find out more about the Faith.
RCIA classes will begin in September and will likely meet on
Thursday evenings. If you are interested, or if you know of a
potential participant, please contact the Rectory Office.
CCW Bake Sale Fundraiser ~ Please bring your baked goods
(no cream pies or frosting, please) to Soldiers & Sailors Park on
Friday, September 18 at 9:30 am. The bake sale is from 10 am -
1 pm. If you’re new to CCW this would be a great opportunity to
get your feet wet by helping out and meeting some fellow CCW
members. For more information call Bridgette, 878-6477.
CCW Kick-Off Meeting—Camp CCW ~ All ladies of the par-
ish are invited to the first meeting of the year to take place on
Tuesday, September 22, 2015 beginning at 6 pm. Join us for a
cookout and spiritual songs led by Shelley Gorenz. We will meet
outside at the St Louis pavilion. Bring a friend!
Registering in the Parish ~ Please consider registering yourself
in our parish, whether you attend St Louis every week or on
occasion. Being registered in a parish becomes particularly
important when you need certain Sacraments, and to verify
contributions. It also addresses, in part, one of the Church’s
Precepts - supporting the Church spiritually and financially. To
register, please call the Rectory Office, Mon-Fri, 8am-noon, to
set up an appointment.
EWTN Program Highlight Guides are available on the three
information tables of the church for the months of September,
October and November. Tune in for great Catholic programming!
Pro-Life Perspective ~ If a physician presumes to take into
consideration in his work whether life has value or not, the
consequences are boundless and the physician becomes the most
dangerous man in the state. –Dr. Christoph Hufeland, Germany,
1762-1836. Through abortion on demand, the state has given phy-
sicians this power and now they are killing the infirm and elderly.
