Small yet mighty...

Not all construction projects are on a grand scale. Here at Shaylor Group we also excel in short term

minor works and refurbishment projects.

Our broad skill set and wealth of experience allows us to focus on projects that demand close attention,

are slightly complex or need to be carried out in live or occupied environments.

Flick through this snapshot of our minor works portfolio and discover that for Shaylor Group,

small also means mighty.

Modifications at Rolls Royce were commissioned to increase the existing production line at their flagship Goodwood factory in Chichester. Works comprised of the installation of three new production tracks and two turntables including associated high level services consisting of new lighting, data, ventilation and compressed air. Part of the existing production structure was also removed and then reinstated to enable a new ‘soft tilt’ assembly structure. Works were carried out in fast track phases to guarantee zero disruption to Rolls Royce’s production and a zero pressure working environment was created to ensure 100% dust free conditions.

After receiving Academy status, the school required external elevations to be fully refurbished. Due to spalling bricks, most lower sections of the external face of the brickwork were carefully taken down and rebuilt. Works consisted of selected roof repairs, flat roof reinstatement, replacement of flashings and features to provide long term solutions, alongside the removal and replacement of all windows to suit the building’s existing appearance.

This phase of an overall staggered delivery project involved alterations and structural works to existing retail units at Battery Retail Park. The works formed part of a series of projects that are a great example of repeat business from an existing strong Client relationship. Working in live environments, existing stores were able to remain operational until newly formed units were ready for occupation. The site logistics were extremely tight, requiring good communication and site liaison between our team, the Client and End Users to ensure no problems or complaints were encountered.
