ABOUT SIEPA

FDI DEPARTMENT

“One stop information shop”

Gathering economic, statistical, and legal information;

Finding suitable construction land and/or underused manufacturing capacity;

Organizing visits of potential local business partners for interested foreign investors;

Presenting completed investment projects;

Carrying out detailed studies of the most important commercial sectors

Non-refundable financial assistance for new investment projects, in according with the decree on attracting direct investment;

Applications are submitted to SIEPA, after which projects are assessed and a commission decides on awarding funds;

Investment projects are scored on 9 criteria such as: investment amount and location, impact on exports, participation of domestic suppliers, and others;

SIEPA administers the program since 2006

Funds are allocated based on activity refund principle (first the activity and then funding)

2006 budget was around 1.2 million EUR

SIEPA’s team regularly carries out analyses of the most important sectors in Serbia; We make these available to foreign and domestic investors as well as the general public ;SIEPA has been recognized by institutions such as the OECD and the World Bank, among others, for its analyses and publications;People with relevant industry experience are responsible for the most important sectors.
