From the outset the aim for the project team has been to createthe very best auction centre, in terms of location, facilities, andcustomer experience. Location was the fundamental buildingblock in the creation of the centre. Minutes from the M6, theSMA centre is easily accessible from both north and south. Nowmore new customers can experience SMA for the first time asthe business’ rapid expansion moves further south.
The exterior of the purpose designed building is now largelycomplete, and work is now progressing rapidly on the internalfit-out. The Centre has been designed to make the most ofmodern technology, which will feature across the site.Innovation is not limited to technology; the site will offer a quietroom, comfortable catering facilities and training/meetingrooms. The team at SMA want the Centre to be a place wherecustomers can buy/sell and meet one another in comfort.
SMA has developed a Technical Services Centre at the site. Thisnow being fully equipped with a state of the art spray booth andall the technology required to ensure high quality refurbishmentcan be completed pre or post sale, for vendors or buyers.
