SAFETY DAY SNCP 19 MARCH 2015

Safety day for the year 2015 was organized and conducted at SNCP site together by PDO, ABB and AHEC on 19th March 2015, under the guidance of Mr.Hamed Mauly-GGS1(PDO HSE team leader SNCP Site).

The theme of the year is Intervene.(An element of the PDO golden rules)

During the ceremony, Safety Day message was given to the employees by

Message By PDO CSR-Nassar Namani

Mr. Nasser Al Naamani, GGE 22N delivered the Safety Day speech. He cascaded PDO MD’s safety day message “This year we are going to put the emphasis on Intervention... because We care, I intervene; you intervene because we care” to all attendees in English

Message By Mr.Mohammed Manji-Commissioning engineer PDO

Mr. Mohammed Al Minji, GGO 25N had cascaded the Safety Day message in Arabic

Message By Mr.Madhavan Thampi AHEC Manager Projects

Al Hassan employees had presented a skit on Intervention – PPE and Tools in Hindi as well as a skit in Arabic on Intervention - Driving violations.

GROUP DISCUSSION

During the group discussion, following points was discussed:-

To understand what ‘Intervene’ means to individuals.

Awareness of the importance of intervention in saving lives and preventing injuries

Understand why some people hesitate to intervene and how to overcome this.

Debate how people can react when someone intervenes with them

Facilitate and support implementation strategies to improve intervention

Group discussion

Safety Awards

Safety awards were distributed to 18 employees by during the ceremony.

SAFETY POSTER COMPETITION

A safety poster competition was conducted and 4 winners are selected by SNCP Management.

SAFETY PLEDGE

The ceremony was concluded with a safety pledge by the entire SNCP team.
