    swim21 Club Accreditation is the ASAs quality mark. It recognises nationally

    and regionally the clubs that are committed to providing safe, effective and

    quality services for the benefit of their members

    It is the ASA's Club Development model - a planning tool, based on the

    principles of Long Term Athlete Development, enabling clubs to help athletes,

    teachers, coaches and administrators to achieve their full potential. It focuses

    particularly on the needs of athletes - striving to provide them with the best

    possible support and environment.

    RESOURCESUpon completion of your Audit, your club will have access to a wide

    array of resource materials - in the form of Information Sheets, Templates, Resource

    Packs and Workshops. These will assist your club through the swim21 programmeand ensure that your club implements good practice throughout its daily activity.

    Your County Swimming Co-ordinator will direct you to the resources that best

    match the needs of your club.

    FUNDINGswim21 accreditation offers enhanced access to various sources of

    funding. Clubs who are working towards or have achieved swim21 accreditation

    may be looked upon more favourably when applying for sources of funding. For

    example, swim21 Accredited Clubs are prioritised to form links with local schools

    The aim of the club mark is to provide more and better opportunities for chiidren and

    young people to participate in sport in their local communities.

    More likely to receive finding due to funding bodies stating applicant must have

    clubmark accredited.

    As part of Clubmark, clubs are entitled to receive help to develop the skills of

    coaches. This, in turn leads to better quality provision and improved player

    performance. Parents can be confident that appropriately qualified coaches are

    deployed.

    More and more local authorities and other leisure operators give priority-booking

    slots to Clubmark accredited clubs. Some also offer discounted rates for facility hire

    The foundation for any club is its youth structure. The Clubmark accreditation process

    is designed to assist clubs to attract and cater for young members, and build a strong

    future.

    Small clubs might struggle with costs if they need to improve to meet any regulations

    Every member of staff needs to be involved from the top of the club to the bottom to

    be able to achieve the mark
