RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults Have youever been asked to be a godparent or sponsor (16 yearsold and above)? Find yourself not meeting the fewrequirements? Think that being baptized and receivingFirst Holy Communion was enough? To be consideredeligible to be a godparent or sponsor, one must be at least16 years old, received the first three sacraments ofinitiation and if married, by a catholic priest, however, there are a few exceptions to this one requirement. Knowsomeone who has expressed a desire to be Catholic? Have you or a loved one, friend, co-worker missed asacrament? All these answers can be found at aninformational meeting on September 14th at 7:00PM inDuff Hall.

Marriage - being married by a judge, civil magistrate, ora minister is not accepted in the practice and teaching ofthe Catholic faith and stops one from receivingcommunion at Mass until the situation is resolved, included in this are those who are divorced and remarried. In most cases these problems can be corrected and arequite easy to accomplish. If you are in this situation orknow of someone who is, please call Father Anthony atthe Rectory to discuss this.

Confession Knowing that the times for Confession inmost of our parishes is not helpful to many, starting onWednesday, October 5th, confessions will be heard at St.Johns from 7:00 - 7:30PM.
