from the Pastor Dear sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus,

Christ Is Risen! Alleluia! He Is Risen Indeed! Alleluia!

As we live in this victory of Christ for us over sin, death, and the power of the

devil, we are being encouraged to Join Jesus on His Mission. The one word that

keeps coming to me again and again is "love". God tells us in His word that He

loves us and we are to love Him and one another. God does His part, but we are

not so good at this love thing as we would like to be. We have people in our lives

everyday that we don't love. It is not that we hate them or do something

against them, it is just that we don't take the time - or make the time to love

them. In his book, "Joining Jesus on His Mission", Pastor Greg Finke writes,

"U.S. Christians have become good at loving our neighbors "technically" without "actually" loving our neighbors. For instance, we feel confident in saying that we "love our neighbor," yet we often do not even know our neighbor's name." pg.

61

What would be different in our church if everyone of us took the time to "love

our neighbor"? What would you talk about with your neighbor if you took time

to love them? What would they learn about you and your faith if you loved

them? What is God trying to have you pay attention to in your neighborhood?

How is God at work in your place of work, school, or the gym where you work

out? What if our acts of kindness were not so random? What if we actually love

our neighbor?

I invite you to Join Jesus on His Mission as we look to see how God is messing

with us right now? When God calls you to serve as a missionary in your neigh-

borhood will you be ready to answer; "Here I am, Send me"? I pray that we all

grow in the faith God has given to us as we Teach the Faithful, Reach the Lost,

and Care for All.

Our Heartfelt thanks to all for the prayers, cards, visits and flowers for Roy during his illness and at the funeral. A special Thank you to Cindy Ankoviak for organizing the many volunteers that provided Luella rides during this time. A special thank you to each and every volunteer driver. Thanks also to the many vol-

unteers who worked during, behind the scenes and the to all who donated food for the wonderful dinner. Please contin-ue to pray for Luella during her recov-

ery from her fall.

God Bless– Luella Luplow and family.

Thank you Lord, and Thank you so very much to everyone for the cards, food and well-wishes dur-ing my recent hospital stay and

recuperation.

~ Peggy Cramer

Thanks to everyone that helped make this

year’s Teen Challenge a success on Sunday,

March 30 and Wednesday, April 2. Again

this year you opened your arms and hearts to

9 women and 7 men by supporting them as

follows: greeting them at church services

plus the potluck and soup supper; contrib-

uting to Social Ministry’s collection (this

year was the most ever given); and your

very generous monetary donations. A

special thank you to the Quilting Group

for their donation of 14 quilts. We look

forward to hosting them again in 2015.

"I would like to thank everyone that

helped cook, serve, and donate food and their time to help make Easter Breakfast

successful. I also would like to say a special thanks to the Denton's for the many

years of service of prior Easter breakfasts, thank you! -- Jamey Ross"

The little words “Thank You” just can’t convey the depth of our gratitude for the love our mother, Mildred Glowacki, experienced here at St. Mark over the last 30+ years. Your smiles, hand shakes, hugs and support you showed in so many ways gave her so much happiness. Her memorial service was everything we envisioned and Mildred would have been proud to serve the delicious luncheon to which so many of her friends contributed. She also enjoyed the many greeting cards her friends continued to send. A special thanks to Pastor Meyer and Rev. Dr. Schultz who ministered to Mildred while she was at SwanHaven and Tecumseh Place. Not only did it mean a lot to Mildred but her family as well. The family of Mildred Glowacki

It is with deep appreciation we send our gratitude for sending our wonderful Easter dinner by Bob Evans Farms. In my wife’s shut-in condition, it really helps to know this gift fulfilled God’s promise to be al-ways helpful to Christians in need!

With love and thanks,

M/M Wm Link

On behalf of Adeda E. Lutz Veteran's

Affairs Medical Center’s patients and

staff, I would like to extend our sin-

cere appreciation to you and the pa-

rishioners of St Mark Lutheran

Church for the donation of wheelchair

bags on April 2, 2014. Your thought-

fulness reflects the concern that you

feel for the Veterans and for the ser-

vice they provided to all of us while in

service to our country. Without your

support, we could not provide for the

smaller niceties that bring joy to the

Veterans. Thank you for your support.

An accident. A miracle. And a super-

natural encounter that will

give you new insights on

Heaven, angels, and hearing

the voice of God.

A true story.

Christy Miller Collection

by Robin Jones Gunn.

Written for ages 12 and up, and

grounded in Christian beliefs.

The three books in volume one explore

the need for Christ’s for-

giveness; intimacy with God

and the influence of

friends; and becoming who

God wants us to be and how

He never gives up on us.

Great books in the Library! These and more books are available to check out for 1-2

week periods. Many new titles are hitting the shelves at St Mark! Stop by the dis-

play/check out areas throughout the building or at the library shelves by the office.

There is also a display/check out area in the new addition near the classrooms.

Redemption

by Karen Kingsbury

The five-book Redemption

series focuses on the Baxter

family– their fears & desires,

their strengths & weaknesses,

their losses & victories. Book one is a

story of love at all costs. Each book in-

cludes a “teaser” chapter of the next

book in the series. Highly recommended

by Gloria Luplow and Sharon Isbister

Memorial Day was set aside to Remember and Honor those who

gave their lives for our country. We would also like to honor those

who served, and risked the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

This month’s puzzle brings us people, places and things which you will find in the

Book of Philippians. All words are listed vertical or horizontally. After you have

found all of the words, the leftover letters (in order) will spell out a message of

the Book of Philippians. Answers to puzzles can be requested thru the church of-

fice. Last Months answer from Ephesians: The Spiritual armor of the be-

liever.
