Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love you above all things and I desire to receive you in my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already

there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.

1. St. Nicholas Day @ St. Nicholas Church – is on Sunday, December 6th, 2020. Traditionally we sincerely invite all our parishioners and guests to celebrate this special parish day by attending liturgies and “with one voice and one heart” worship our God and honor our patron Saint Nicholas. St. Nicholas will traditionally stop by to greet us. Remember your

donation to the needy children is appreciated.

2. Sunday of Generosity – Sunday November 22nd

2020. Part of our mission in our community is helping those in need. Pastoral Council invites you all to open your hearts in generosity and help us to raise funds, helping those in need at Joseph's House and Shelter. Your monetary donations (envelopes provided), can be place it in the collection basket and necessary items will be purchased. Please submit your gifts by November 22nd so that we can provide as Thanksgiving gift for our brothers and sisters in Christ.

3. Usher / Money Counter Schedule for 2021 – will be completed soon. We welcome new volunteers; no experience is required. Please contact Fr. Mikhail at office@cerkva.com or Nicholas Fil (518-785-7596) if you wish to be added to this schedule. Those wishing to be removed or reassign to another ministry, please let us know.

4. The End of the Year - As we approach the end of the year, you may wish to review your offering envelopes to see if you postponed or overlooked any that you want to make up before the books are closed on December 31, 2020.

17. Sacrament of Matrimony - Couples planning to be married should contact the pastor at least six months prior to the proposed date to allow ample time for preparation. No other arrangements should be made before contacting the Church.

18. Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick - If a family member is seriously ill at home or in a hospital, or unable to come to Church and would like to receive the Holy Sacrament of Confession and or Holy Communion, please call the parish office to arrange pastor’s visit.

The Pre-Christmas Fast (Nov 15 - Dec 24) Christmas and Easter belong to the greatest feasts of our church year. It is for these two feasts that the Holy Church prepares her faithful with the longest fasts. This is why not only the Easter Lent but also the pre-Christmas is called the “Forty Days” by Holy Fathers. Philip’s Fast is the

time for prayer, fasting, confession a time of preparation for Christmas.

1. Парафіяльний Празник – День Св о. Миколая – у неділю 6-го грудня. Запрошуємо усіх парохіян та гостей на урочисту Божественну Літургію, щоб «одним серцем і устами» прославити Господа та вшанувати святого о. Миколая. Заохочуємо привести своїх дітей. Пригадуємо про можливість зробити подарунок для дітей-сиріт на Україні.

2. Пилипівка – це 40-денний Піст для приготування душі і тіла до свята Різдва Господа нашого Ісуса Христа. Симеон Солунський († 1429) каже: “Цей сорокаденний піст схожий на піст Мойсея, який постив 40 днів і ночей та прийняв таблиці Божих Заповідей. Постім і ми 40 днів і приймемо живе Слово Боже, воплочене від Діви і причастимося Його Тіла”.

3. Неділя Жертвенності – у неділю 22-го листопада. Одним із місійних завдань церковної громади є допомагати тим що у потребі. Члени Пасторальної Ради запрошуютсь усіх відкрити свої щедрі жертовні серця та допомогти зібрати фонди для «Дому-Притулку Йосиф» у м. Трой. Ваші грошові пожертви (конверти в притворі) зробіть в часі недільних відправ, а ми закупимо необхідні їм речі. Просимо зробити ваш подарунок до 22-го листопада, щоб ми встигли до Дня Подяки зробити це для потребуючих братів та сестер.

4. Збори Церковних Комітетів та Організацій: Пасторальної Ради – відбудуться у четвер 10-го грудня о 6:00 год вечора.

10. Фінансовий Рік 2020 – підходить до свого закінчення. Хай кожен перегляне свої конверни пожертв, чи бува ми чого не доглянули. І якщо ви ще хотіли б зробити пожертву на будь-яку ціль, то зробіть її ще до закінчення цього року.

Reading of the Epistle of St. Paul to the Ephesians: (Ephesians 4: 1-6): Brethren, I a prisoner in the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.

Alleluia (Tone 8): Come, let us rejoice in the Lord; let us acclaim God our Saviour (Ps 94:1). Verse: Let us come before His face with praise, and acclaim Him in psalms (Ps 94:2).

Gospel ( Luke 12,16-21): The Lord told this parable: “There was a rich man whose land produced a bountiful harvest. He asked himself, ‘What shall I do, for I do not have space to store my harvest?’ And he said, ‘This is what I shall do: I shall tear down my barns and build larger ones. There I shall store all my grain and other goods and I shall say to myself, “Now as for you, you have so many good things stored up for many years, rest, eat, drink, be merry!”’ But God said to him, ‘You fool, this night your life will be demanded of you; and the things you have prepared, to whom will they belong?’ Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God.”

It is truly right... (Or the Hirmos of the Feast): Seeing the entry of the most pure One, the angels m arveled at how a virgin could enter the Holy of Holies.

Hirmos: Since no hand of the wicked may touch the living tabernacle of God, may the lips of the faithful endlessly sing out with joy to the Mother of God the greeting of the angel: O pure Virgin, you are truly above all creatures!

Communion: Praise the Lord from the heavens;* praise Him in the highest (Ps 148:1).

Все, що ганиться, стає явним у світлі, а все, що виявляється, стає світлом. Тому говорить: Прокинься, сплячий, і встань із мертвих, а Христос освітить тебе. Тож уважайте пильно, як маєте поводитися: не як немудрі, а як мудрі, використовуючи час, бо дні лихі. Тому не будьте необачні, але збагніть, що є Господня воля. І не впивайтеся вином, бо в нім є блуд, а сповнюйтеся Духом. Проказуйте між собою вголос псалми й гимни та духовні пісні, співайте і прославляйте в серцях ваших Господа.

Алилуя (1): Бог богів, Господь мовив, і призвав землю від сходу сонця до заходу (Пс 49,1). Стих: Зберіть Йому преподобних Його, що заповідують завіт Його в жертвах (Пс 49,5).

Євангеліє: (Лк 13,10-17): Того часу, Ісус навчав в одній з синагог у суботу. Була ж там одна жінка, що її тримав дух у недузі вісімнадцять років: вона була скорчена й не могла ніяк випростатись. Побачивши її, Ісус покликав, промовивши до неї: “Жінко, ти звільнена від твоєї недуги.” І поклав на неї руки й вона зараз же випросталась, і почала прославляти Бога. Тоді начальник синагоги, обурений, що Ісус оздоровив у суботу, озвався і мовив до народу: “Шість день, коли маєте працювати; тоді, отже, приходьте й оздоровляйтесь, а не в день суботній.” Господь у відповідь сказав до нього: “Лицеміри! Чи кожний з вас не відв’язує свого вола або осла від ясел і не веде його поїти? Цю ж жінку, дочку Авраама, що її сатана зв’язав ось вісімнадцять років, не треба було від цих узів звільнити в день суботній?” І як він говорив це, усі противники його засоромились, а ввесь народ радів усім славним вчинкам, які він зробив.

Причасний: Хваліте Господа з небес,* хваліте Його на висотах(Пс 148,1). Алилуя (х3)
