May 8 – May 12 We have reserved the three traditional camp sites on the wall (14, 16, and 17), cabins are 72 – 73, the usual two across the road from the camp ground, and one additional cabin, 70, which is on the west side of the mountain. You’ll remember cabin 70 from a few years back when we gathered there for a smorgasbord lunch on the high porch in the back, with concrete deck and fire pit below, and great view of the mountains to the west. Please contact Rusty Smith [email protected], or Lee Smithson [email protected] to reserve a cabin space. The cabin cost is approximately $315 per person for 4 nights, depending on occupancy. I’ll have actual cost when I receive the email confirmation back from Mt. Nebo reservations. I know we all look forward to this great event. Again please share these dates; there are others who are interested in this trip who are not on our regular email list.

Save a little fire wood, think sunsets, city lights, good food, and pray for good weather.

Grounds Workday

Saturday, April 13th

Bring your shovels, rakes, gloves, and elbow grease; along with your energy to get the grounds looking good for Easter

We’ll begin at 8:00 a.m. and work throughout the morning so please drop in whenever you can and help us. Our Junior Warden is refining a list of things that need to be pruned, scraped, trimmed, painted, planted and spread so there’s a job for everyone, at every level!

A sign up sheet will be posted soon.

Spring is busting out all over and here we are thinking about Easter and all that leads up to it. We are looking forward to both emotional and beautiful days in April, and we have to help get our church ready for them. Our big work day is Easter Eve, April 20, beginning about 9:00 a.m. to do flowers for the church and the parish hall. We clean the sacristy from top to bottom; polish all brass and silver; clean the church and have everything shining when the Bishop comes, and we welcome our newly confirmed to the St. Philip’s family.

We’ll be busy ladies, so make your plans to spend a lot of the Holy Week at St. Philip’s. Can you think of a better place to be? I love you all, Lucette

Your help is needed for the Easter Vigil Reception

A board will be in the narthex, March 31- April 14 to sign up to prepare food for the reception. We will polish silver for the reception on Wednesday, April 10, after the 10:00 a.m. service. If you have any questions, call Faye Hollingsworth at 601.506.0835, or [email protected]
