Content creation of 990+ web and video courses – only 600 have been made
Development of virtual labs
Limited synergy in isolated and random selected themes.
Content on portal (SAKSHAT and NPTEL) is not user friendly.
Review processes are more focussed on budgetary issues than on quality.

As of 16th May 2012, 419 Universities of 499 Universities have 1 Gbps bandwidth
18,000 colleges out of 25,000 colleges and 2000 targeted Polytechnics with 10 Mbps bandwidth
Currently there is over emphasis on wired based connectivity
