Father Cadoc - Christmas message Towards the end of the year there is a requirement that the parish priest should thank all those who in their various ways , work to sustain the life of the parish. I find this difficult, because among you there is a level of goodness and generosity, which makes anything I might say feeble and inadequate. I pray to God this Christmas to make you as grateful to HIm for each other as I am to be your priest. ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Please send all notices for the Newsletter to Marianne by Wed. evening 01209 713675 or [email protected] ```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````

HOMELESSNESS EVENT – 18 JANUARY 2022 6-7PM VIA ZOOM. Caritas Plymouth would like to invite you to an online event on homelessness on the 18th of January 2022 from 6-7pm. As Britain emerges from the crisis of pandemic and begins to come to terms with the impacts of the crisis over the last few years, the effects on homelessness are likely to be significant. It is predicted that the economic aftermath of COVID-19 risks a substantial rise in core homelessness, including rough sleeping. This event will offer an opportunity for prayer and reflection on how we can take practical HEAVEN'S ROAD CATHOLIC ONLINE RADIO This radio station features prayers including the Angelus and Rosary, interviews and music to appeal to a Catholic audience. SVP The next meeting of the SVP will be on Friday 29th June in the Parish Office at 19 45. On July 7 the Holy Father is bringing together the leaders of the Churches of the Middle East in Bari, Italy. “Pray with me, that they may experience the support of all the Churches and communities, through prayer and material assistance.” In the lead-up to this meeting, Aleteia is answering the pope’s call. As people of faith, we know there is genuine power in prayer, but there is something uniquely powerful and uplifting about

praying together. Aleteia is mobilizing our global community of Christians for 30-days of prayer

to support our brothers and sisters of the middle east. Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine Fully escorted Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine, Ireland, 01st July 2018. £649 per person sharing. HONOURING SUNDAY The Bishops of England and Wales having reflected on the current situation in England and Wales, recognise that the causes and effects of the pandemic are still present to such a degree that the absolute duty for all to freely attend the Sunday Eucharistic Celebration cannot yet be fulfilled. They have asked all Catholics to reflect on the centrality of the Eucharist to their own life of faith and take into consideration their personal circumstances and the reasons as to whether they can now attend the Sunday Eucharistic Celebration or otherwise. Should a person feel that grave cause honestly persists in their personal circumstances, there is no sin associated with their non-attendance at Mass, and they are encouraged to devote themselves to prayer at home.
