Tank Design Guide

When you order a tank we ask that you fax us a drawing of the tank with the fittinglocations marked on the drawing. When you make a drawing for us, please take careto make your drawing accurate and easy for us to interpret. Please follow the

guidelines below.

Discharge Fittings (waste)

We use dip tubes for discharge, they can be located on the top side or the top of avertical side. Dip tubes are 1.5" female pipe thread and will accept straight or 90 -degree pipe to hose adapters. Dip tubes extend down to the bottom of the tank. Youwill need 4.5" of clearance from the sidewall of the tank for our standard fittings and2.75" for our low profile fittings.

Inlet and Vent fittings

Inlet and vent fittings can be located on the top or the top of a vertical side of thetank. The inlet fitting is 1.5" female pipe thread and the vent can be .5" or .75" femalepipe thread. The inlet fitting requires 4.5" of clearance from the sidewall of the tankfor a 90-degree fitting. Vent fittings require 2" of clearance for .5" 90 degree fittingsand 2.25" of clearance for .75" fittings off the sidewall of the tank.

Suction Fittings (water tanks)

Suction fittings can be at the bottom of the tank or the bottom of a sidewall of thetank. Suction fittings can be .5", .75", or 1".

How to mark the Drawing

y Download and print the tank diagram.y Use solid lines for visible fittings and use dotted lines for "blind side" fittings.

Identify each fitting - by size, (.5" or 1.5" etc.), function, (inlet, diptube, suction orvent.) and location (visible or blindside on the drawing, not after the tank is installed)Use the example below for a reference. Show each fitting on at least two views onthe drawing.
