Bishnu Pada Ray, Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, Shri Vikram Dev Dutt and the PBMC Chairperson, Shri. Indra Pal Singh will also be present on this occasion. The project of this Modern Fish Market is funded by the Department of Fisheries, A & N Administration and the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Hyderabad with the objective to provide a modern and hygienic market for the general public. The market has a Chilled Room facility, a solid and liquid waste disposal machine for conversion of fish waste to manure and a separate electronic weighing balance counter where the consumers can check the weight of fish purchased from the market, a communication from Asst. LG to inaugurate Modern Fish Market at Junglighat on July 4 New Delhi, July 2 Vice President Shri Venkaiah Naidu urged Indian diplomats to defend country's interest in turbulent world order. He said this while addressing over 125 Indian Ambassadors and High Commissioners at his official residence in New Delhi yesterday. Minister of External Affairs, Smti Sushma Swaraj, Minister of State for External Affairs, Shri M.J.Akbar and the Foreign Secretary were also present on the occasion. Shri Naidu asked the diplomats to be agile and careful and defend the country's interests, leveraging India's moral and material strengths to influence the global discourse through carefully strategized diplomatic response. The Vice President elaborated that despite the acknowledged need for an Integrated World Order, new 'walls' are being erected to the free flow of goods and services and movement of people as well. He said this return to protectionism has the potential to adversely impact the global efforts for collective advancement. Shri Naidu referred to the enhanced global interest in India and urged the diplomats to convert this global enthusiasm about India into investments. Bishnu Pada Ray recently. The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Additional District Magistrate, SA, Sub- Divisional Magistrate, SA, Assistant Commissioners, (Settlement) & (HQ), SA, officers from line departments, PRI members, Gram Pradhan Shri. Boys' Sr. Sec. School Port Blair, published by the Boys' School Alumni Association was released by the Chief Secretary, Shri Vikram Dev Dutt in the conference hall of Secretariat here today. The Magazine, titled 'Footprints', is a collection of memories and reminiscences gathered from various sources, penned by pioneers, who walked the corridors of the School at different stages of their lives. Releasing the Magazine, the Chief Secretary expressed happiness over the compilation of the Magazine, which, he said, CS releases 'Footprints'- Centenary Magazine of Govt. Boys' SSS Lauds Boys’ School’s role in evolution of education in Isles is a collection of the memories and experiences of the writers and contributors, who had their education in the School. He said, the history of this school is linked with the history of Port Blair as it is the history of evolution of education in the Islands. He informed that the contents in the Magazine will be integrated in the archive materials of the Islands. The Chief Secretary said that Boys' School has come a long way in educating Islanders. Many senior citizens, of whom many have held or are holding good positions in the society, are the products of the School, he said. This is the time for them to give back to the society, the Chief Secretary remarked. All the alumnus of the School have made a mark in the respective fields, he said. The Chief Secretary also assured to initiate and monitor the establishment of a museum and a multipurpose hall in the school. The foundation stone of the said museum has already been laid. About 65 participants from various research institutes like Pondicherry University, Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Zoological Survey of India, Fishery Survey of India, Botanical Survey of India, Indian Council for Medical Research, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Aquaculture, Ministry of Earth Sciences etc. participated. The workshop was themed to discuss critically about the challenges facing in A&N region. In particular, the discussion was focused on importance of blue revolution and the technological development that needs to be addressed to utilize the potential of our ocean to the fullest without over exploitation and the steps that our community can take to ensure that oceans could be more productive in the future. Dr. V. Sampath, former Director, Integrated Coastal and Marine Area Management Project Directorate (ICMAM-PD), Ministry of Earth Sciences, Chennai speaking as the chief guest pointed out the need of state policy for fisheries and mariculture and explained about the various factors that should be considered for the betterment of the A&N Islands fishermen community. 1. The rate for the above items should be with quantity per items mentioned against each item.

2. The quotation will be valid for 12 months from the date of acceptance / opening.

3. The sealed quotation should be accompanied by an EMD of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees two thousand only) as DD / FDR drawn in favour of the

Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Paschimsagar, Diglipur from any Nationalized Bank or in the form of Fixed Deposit Receipt from a commercial

bank. Quotations submitted without EMD will be rejected.

4. The sealed quotations should be put into the tender box kept in this office of the Gram Panchayat, Paschimsagar on or before 10.07.2018 at

10.30 AM and the same will be opened at 11.00 AM on the same day i.e. 10.07.2018 in presence of tenderers / representatives, if any.

5. The quotation should be submitted in the sealed cover superscribing “Clamp (angle) set for installation of streetlight on electric pole” in their

letter pad duly signed & sealed alongwith EMD and copy of PAN Card.

6. All entries in the quotation should either be typed or computerized. Hand written quotation will be rejected. The rates in the quotation should

be clearly mentioned. In case of any over writing or correction in rate, two different rates for the same items, the quotation will be summarily

rejected.

7. If the intended items are not supplied in the prescribed time by the supplier, the EMD will be forfeited as per GFR 2005 and particular item will be procured from the lowest quotationer with the consent of competent authority.

8. The Gram Panchayat, Paschimsagar will have the right to place orders for their required quantities for 12 (Twelve) months from the date of

opening / acceptance of the quotation as and when required basis as per the quotation.

9. The rate quoted will be valid upto the date of supply of the items as mentioned in the supply order and the Gram Panchayat will not have any

responsibility for hike in the price till the date of supply.

10. Firms should have sufficient stock of the items and should be delivered the same to this office of the Pradhan, Gram Panchayat,

Paschimsagar within 20 days of placing intend on them. Bills will be processed only on completion of the supply order and payment will not be

released, if part of the supply is pending or incomplete.

11. The supplier shall be responsible for the quality of the item.

12. The materials should be Genuine, if the materials supplied are found to be sub-standard that should be replaced by the suppliers at their

own cost / risk and responsibility.

13. The Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Paschimsagar, Diglipur reserves the right to accept or reject any offer in whole or in part without assigning

any reason thereof.
