Have you had a chance to look at the Distance Education’s
website lately? www.campbellde.com Change has been in the
air! Our website has had a facelift to make it more
user friendly and easier to navigate.
When you visit, you will see News & Events as well as Quick
Links. The Quick Links section includes upcoming schedules,
approval forms, and links to the DE Blog and our Facebook.
Yes, you read that correctly, a Facebook page.
The Facebook page provides the most up-to-date information
in your Facebook feed, including schedules, booklists, syllabi,
forms, and more.
Take advantage of the “new” website and all that it offers!

Training and Technology Tab:
The Training & Technology Tab on Blackboard has been updated! One of the new great
features of this tab is the Bb Training Calendar. The Bb Training Calendar provides a quick
glance at what Blackboard training courses are being offered and the prospective dates they
will be taught. Another great new feature is the Blackboard Training email! From the Training
& Technology Tab you can send a quick email directly to the Distance Education office to
register for a train-
ing course. Please
remember this
email is
ONLY for faculty.
Students should
not use this email
address for any rea-
son. In addition to the Bb Training Calendar, you can also find tutorials, information on
common errors and known issues in Blackboard, access On Demand Learning Center, as well as
the current months edition of TechKnow.

Upcoming Blackboard Training Courses:
Service Pack 8 Training:
This training is required for all blended and online instructors and is designed for instructors that
are already Basic Blackboard Trained. This training covers the changes that will take place May 14th
during the installation of Service Pack 8. Changes that instructors can expect to see include new
action bar menus in content areas, ability to navigate course to course, integrated rubrics, and
more. The online portion of this training will also incorporate a new product called Tegrity.
Basic Blackboard Training:
This training is for faculty who are new to Blackboard and is REQUIRED for ALL faculty teaching
online and/or blended courses. This training is ongoing. Please contact the Distance Education
office for more information or to sign up!
