Blackboard is not just about

Blackboard! There are so many ways

to design a sound course while incor-

porating various tools and technology.

Take a look at some of the ways you

can keep yourself engaged and further

engage your students.

Campbell Library Technology Items: Have you ever had a great idea to incorporate technology into your Black-

board course (or traditional course) to increase engagement but did not

have the money or resources to purchase a big ticket technology item?

Campbell's Wiggins Memorial library has made

incorporating technology a lot easier!

Visit www.lib.campbell.edu/technology-items for a list of technology items

that you can check out for a limited time such as headphones, digital

cameras, Flip video cameras, GPS units, Laptops, Nook Colors,

Podcast Studios, and Wacom Intuos Tablets!

The amount of time that an item can be loaned out differs. This page can

also be used to view constraints and item availability.

- 9th—Fall II Term Begins

Blackboard Mobile has Arrived!! If you have an eligible Smart phone (iPhone, Blackberry, Android, or HP Web

OS device), iPad or iPod Touch, you can now download and install the

Blackboard Mobile Learn App. Once the app is downloaded, simply search for

Campbell University. The Blackboard Mobile Learn app is great for instructors

and students on the go. However, please note that there are several functions

that an instructor and student cannot do using Mobile Learn that an instructor

and student can do using by using a browser.

The University will not be providing Mobile Learn technical support. Please

contact Blackboard support for issues that arise.

Several features of the Mobile Learn App:

Announcements—Students can view

announcements. Instructors are also able to

add new announcements through this app.

Discussion Boards—Students and instructors

can post to discussion board threads.

Grade Center—Students can view their grades,

however, instructors are not able to post grades

without use the “view in browser” function.

Media—Students can view videos, images, and

audio. However, please note that Flash content

is not compatible with Apple iOS devices.

Content—Students are able to view content

within a course. Some content may require the

“view in browser” function to be visible.

Instructors are able to add limited content

through the Mobile Learn app.
