Helping to devise internal strategies for our own businesses and managing and inspiring our team. I oversee the editorial and creative output and often take part in face-to-face networking and speak at events throughout the South East and London.

What has been a significant moment since starting Vine? Definitely collaborating with Charlie, working in a team allows you to do so much more. Also being a keynote speaker at a TED event and being a finalist in the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award twice.

Sevenoaks based mobile discotheque, Hotwax Associates wanted a cleaner and more contemporary website with a CMS facility. Vine redesigned the website to be image-led to showcase their previous events, the navigation was simplified and an integrated Twitter feed was installed. The site’s full CMS allows Hotwax to directly control their images, captions and text.

Here at Vine, we specialise in collaborating designers and developers, so my role is based around interpreting the work that our designers produce, to ensure we develop websites that both look stunning and perform brilliantly. I also keep in touch with clients about the progress on their websites and how to use them.

If you could do anyone else in the office’s job, what would you do?

I’d be a designer, I enjoy looking at the design and it’d make a change to look at something aesthetic rather than coding.

Bring it on home

Online vintage shop, Bring It On Home needed a new website to showcase their range of quirky items and furniture. Vine emphasised the visual appeal (key to BIOH) putting it at the core of the design. What does your day involve?I usually start off by having a meeting with my design team to keep tabs on what everyone is doing and delegate the tasks for the day. I then go through e-mails from clients to make sure we’re on top of everything. The rest of the day is spent working on various design projects, this could be working on a website, prospectus, company logo - no two days are the same.
