NOTE: Time for the witch boy that the Minions have designated their leader of evil to prove he has what it takes to be the new Overlord. 3. Fight back against the children throwing snowballs. 4. Follow the path to the right. 5. Hit the snowmen with your club. 6. Continue down the hill, destroying all of the snowmen. 7. Once you reach the bottom of the hill, head to the two rockets and press the Magic button to ignite the rockets and destroy the building across the way. 8. Head downstairs to the right and light the baskets of fireworks with the Magic button. 9. Proceed to the left where you will be joined by your first group of five Brown Minions. 10. Lead them around the corner to the right. 11. Press and hold the Send Minions button for the Mionions to move in the direction you are facing. 12. TIP: Whenever you Send Minions, they will attack whatever is in their path whether it be children, boxes or crates. 3. Fight back against the children throwing snowballs. 4. Follow the path to the right. 5. Hit the snowmen with your club. 6. Continue down the hill, destroying all of the snowmen. 7. Once you reach the bottom of the hill, head to the two rockets and press the Magic button

to ignite the rockets and destroy the building across the way. 8. Head downstairs to the right and light the baskets of fireworks with the Magic button. 9. Proceed to the left where you will be joined by your first group of five Brown Minions. 10. Lead them around the corner to the right. 11. Press and hold the Send Minions button for the Mionions to move in the direction

17. Follow the children towards the town square. 18. When the children enter the barn and shut the door you will not be able to follow. 19. Continue to the town gates that are locked. 20. NOTE: Kelda, one of the local girls, has developed a crush on the witch boy. 21. Follow Kelda through an opening in the barn. 22. Send your Minions to open all of the chests in the barn. 23. NOTE: They will return with some gold. 24. Follow Kelda out of the barn. 25. Make your way to the large rocket. 26. NOTE: Whenever you try to light the rocket, the children throw snowballs that

extinguish the flames. 27. Take your Minions around the left side onto the snow fort wall. 28. Continue up to the turret and frighten the children. 29. Press the Call Back button to bring back a Minion after the children leave. 30. Continue to hold the button to have them all return to you.

31. Light the rocket. 32. Continue through the hole in the snowfort along the path to the secret hideout. 33. Press the Target Lock button to select the hideout. 34. Hold the Send button to send the Minions into the hut. 35. They steal the children's clothes to disguise themselves as children and emerge

frmo the hut wearing their parkas. 36. Take your Minions back to the barn and return to the town gates. 37. The drunken villager at the gates mistakes the Minions for children and allows

you into the town. 38. Proceed to the town square. 39. Cross to the opposite side and find the large rocket. 40. Ignite the baskets of fireworks to set off the rocket, crashing it into the Midwinter

tree and ruining the festival. 41. Follow Kelda to the main town gate after the town bells ring. 42. Climb the stairs up to the wall for a brief cutscene. Once you regain control, it is

time for an escape. 43. Run along the path to escape from the soldiers of the Empire. 44. Minions will continue to point the way into the wilderness. More will join you as

you continue along the path. 45. Invade tents and smash crates along the way to acquire more items that will add

to your Minions' power. 46. TIP: If soldiers block your path, keep running and send Minions ahead to clear it. 47. Eventually you are stopped by a large pile of boulders. 48. Turn to the right until you come to a catapult guarded by soldiers. 49. Send your Minions to attack the soldiers. 50. Once the soldiers are taken care of, have your Minions knock down the tents. 51. More soldiers emerge from the tents. 52. Lock onto the catapult. 53. Send ten Minions onto the catapult. 54. Head up to the platform and jump into the driver's seat. 55. Turn the catapult to the right and aim at the pile of rocks. 56. Press the Send button to pull back the arms. 57. Release the button to fire the catapult after it makes a straining sound. 58. NOTE: Teh longer you hold the button, the further back the arms are pulled and

the farther the shot will fly. 59. If you aim just short of the barrier, the shot will crush the barrier and take out the

soldiers. 60. Descend from your perch on the catapult. 61. Lead your Minions through the hole in the rock barrier. 62. NOTE: As you pass through the barrier, you will see a pack of wolves that your

Minions can ride like horses. 63. TIP: Caged wolves will be found at various points throughout the game. 64. Sweep your Brown Minions onto the wolves. 65. Continue through the rubble. 66. Send them to attack the archers that attack from the left.

67. Once the archers are taken care of, sweep your Minions into the first formation of soldiers.

68. Finally, have your Minions dispose of the archers on the right. 69. Continue towards the ice floe until you get to another barrier. 70. Head into the Imperial camp storage area. 71. Send your Minions to smash all of the cages, once of which contains a Yeti who

will follow you around once he is freed. 72. Lead the Yeti back to the barrier and he will knock it down. 73. Proceed, sending your Minions ahead to take care of the waiting soldiers and

archers. 74. Continue around to the right after all of these enemies are eliminated to the next

barrier. 75. Have the Yeti knock it down. 76. Follow the Yeti onto the ice floe. Climb on top of him as he sinks through the ice.

The Witch Boy Becomes the Overlord o The Hunting Grounds o Your Minions retrieve you from the icy water and present you to Gnarl, the head

Minion in the Netherworld to start this second tutorial stage of combat fitness. You will now be getting familiar with life orbs and spell stones, as well as summoning more Minions to your side. Now that you are an adult, your club has been replaced with an axe.

1. Follow your Minions along the path to the chasm. 2. While the Minions cross the pieces of lumber, you are too big and must use the

bridge to the left that is blocked by barrels. 3. Press the Strike button to swing the axe, smashing the barrel. 4. Cross the bridge 5. Follow the Minions back to the Yeti, still frozen in the ice. 6. Use the axe to free him. You are not able to remove the remainder of the ice that

clings to his lower half. 7. Follow the Yeti to the Minion gate, a direct link to the Brown Minions' Netherworld

spawning pit. 8. Turn towards the gate. 9. Press and hold the Target Lock button to lock onto the gate. 10. Hold the Call Back button to summon more Browns. 11. NOTE: With a lifeforce of 5 you are only able to summon 5 additional Browns 12. Lock onto the Yeti as your target. 13. Send your Minions to attack so that they surround him and keep him from

moving. 14. Move closer and strike the Yeti with your axe to knock off the remaining ice. 15. The Yeti gets mad and jumps across the chasm to escape you and your Minions. 16. Send your Minions to the wooden structure to the left to knock it apart and create

a narrow bridge to cross the chasm. 17. Sweep your Minions across the lumber to the other side onto the Yeti. When they

attack the Yeti, he takes off. After he is gone, they return to your side. 18. Follow the path out of the cavern to the wooden structure to your right.

19. Send your Minions to open the chest behind it and get the gold. 20. Leave the cavern. 21. Folow the Yeti to the ice floes below the mountin. 22. TIP: Don't forget to have your Minions smash the crates in your path. 23. Send your Minions to attack the baby seals and pick up the golden lifeforce units

they leave behind. 24. Summon five more Minions when the gate appears. 25. Continue hunting baby seals until you have 30 lifeforce and retreat past the

Minion gate. 26. NOTE: The Yeti is not happy about the baby seals and will attack. 27. Chase the Yeti with your Minions until he breaks through an ice wall and attacks

the Nordberg hunter. 28. Continue to follow the Yeti to the hunters' camps. 29. Stop at the docks to have your Minions acquire weapons and gold from the

chests and crates. 30. Proceed to the camps. 31. Lock onto the large seals as a target and send forth your Minions to attack and

pick up the lifeforce units left behind. 32. Continue your progress to the hunters' camps. 33. Lock onto the wolf that attacks one of the hunters. 34. Press the Send button to send one of your Minions to tame the wolf and climb on

its back. 35. Enter the first hunters' camp. 36. Send your Minions to attack the hunters while you destroy the igloos. 37. NOTE: Destroying the igloos spawns more hunters, so destroy and attack

quickly. 38. Have your Brown Minions release and tame the wolves in the cages across from

the entrance so they can be used for mounts. 39. Destroy the igloo to reveal a wheel that controls the bridge. 40. Send the Browns to turn the wheel and lower the bridge. 41. Lead your Minions across the bridge in search of more lifeforce. 42. Assault a large pack of baby seals, collecting their lifeforce. 43. NOTE: Nearby elves object to your seal slaying. 44. Send your Minions to attack the elves and pick up their lifeforce. 45. Continue to have your Minions smash seals and collect lifeforce until you have

acquired at least 30. 46. TIP: The larger seals will fight back, so be careful. 47. Make sure your Minions get any of the smashable barrels in the area. 48. Lead your Minions back to the first camp and through the wooden gate. 49. Replace any Minions you may have lost at the Minion gate near the wheel. 50. Find more weapons and life potions at the stashes of crates and barrels on your

way to the second camp. 51. Make your way to the second camp with your Minions. 52. Direct your Minions to kill any hunters, destroy any igloos and raid any crates. 53. Proceed north out of the camp when this work is finished.

54. Follow a side trail to the northeast and find another Minion gate near a stash of crates.

55. Replace Minions and pillage crates. 56. Continue north along the main path. 57. Smash the barrels at the top of the trail. 58. Proceed down the trail to the west until its end at the drawbridge to Norberg. 59. Smash the chests and crates for their contents. 60. The drawbridge is raised, so follow the path to the next village to the east. 61. Pass the summit. 62. Begin to head down the other side. 63. Kill the hunter who approaches throwing spears. 64. Head to the clearing. 65. Sweep your Minions onto the narrow boards and up to the platform to kill the

spear hunters on the wooden platform to the left. 66. Get any available treasures from the crates below the platform. 67. Enter the third camp and destroy it. 68. Check the dock to the south for barrels, crates and chests. 69. Get reinforcements for your Minions at the gate if necessary. 70. Send your Minions to the docks to the east of the camp to attack the Yeti and

keep him from leaving for the sanctuary with the elves. 71. NOTE: The Yeti jumps onto a boat after taking some hits and some elves come

down for a fight. 72. Use your Minions to kill the elves. 73. Sweep your Minions up the steps on either side of the Yeti to break the posts

holding the boat. 74. Repeat this process as the Yeti makes use of different boats off the docks. 75. NOTE: Eventually the Yeti escapes on an elf ship. 76. Smash any crates and barrels on the docks to get all the life potions you need. 77. Replace any Minions at the gate. 78. Head over to the eastern side of the docks. 79. Proceed north towards the entrance of the Sanctuary Cave. 80. NOTE: The cave entrance is guarded by Imperial soldiers and spear hunters. 81. Head around the eastern side to find stashes to increase the strength of your

Minions before taking on the soldiers. 82. Send your Minions out to jump the soldiers while you take on the spear hunters

on the platform. 83. Use your axe to smash the platform and take care of the hunters. 84. Help your Minions finish off the soldiers. 85. Scan the area for goodies and life potions. 86. Head to the cave entrance. 87. The Minions dismount while you head into the cave and leave the wolves

outside. 88. Enter the cave with your Minions to find your way to the sanctuary.

o Nordberg Sanctuary

1. Enter the sanctuary where you see the spell stone. 2. Send your Minions down the hill after the soldiers. 3. Clear out the area of any crates, chests or barrels. 4. Follow the cavern north. 5. Have your Minions break down the wooden barrier. 6. Make your way into the large open area. 7. NOTE: The sanctuary entrance is guarded by a dryad guardian who is warned by

the elves that your group is not friendly. 8. Cross the wooden bridge. 9. NOTE: The dryad summons briars and thorns to block your path. 10. Head north towards the exit. 11. Summon some Browns at the gate near the exit to replenish your group until you

reach your maximum number. 12. NOTE: There is a magical stone shard near the other side of the exit, but it does

not recognize your authority as an Overlord. 13. Send 10 Minions to transport the spell stone near the Minion gate. 14. Return with your Minions through the northern exit to Nordberg.

o Nordberg

1. NOTE: With ten Minions carrying the spell stone, only five are available to fight. 2. Send your Browns after the gnomes that attack once you are outside the

Sanctuary Cave. 3. NOTE: You are charged with a quest to kill a thousand gnomes throughout the

course of the game. 4. Proceed east, continuing to kill gnomes on your journey. 5. Kill the soldiers you encounter as you leave the forest. 6. Lead your Minions across the wooden bridge. 7. NOTE: A Netherworld gate appears as you approach the village. These allow

you to recharge mana and health, as well as to save your game. 8. Have your Minions bring the spell stone and the life statue to the gate for

transport back to the Netherworld. 9. NOTE: You are granted the ability to use a new spell and will immediately have

the chance to try it out. 10. Lock onto one of the villagers as a target. 11. Send several Minions to surround that person. 12. Move in closer and press the Spell button. 13. Hold the button down until the villager is dead. 14. Repeat this process on two additional villagers. 15. NOTE: You can subdue a villager in similar fashion, but release the Spell button

once the life circle is down to 25 percent. Once subdued, the villager will be under your control and follow you.

16. Practice your new subdue spell on three villagers. 17. Once you are finished practicing your new spell, access the Netherworld gate to

return to the Netherworld.

Finding the Reds o The Netherworld Tower

1. NOTE: The Netherworld is your base of power and Gnarl your advisor. Within the Netherworld, you throne is not just your seat but the place you can teleport from to various locations as well as obtain information you need.

2. Proceed next to the throne. 3. Press the Strike button to sit down. 4. When seated you view a map from which you can teleport to either regions or

quest locations. 5. NOTE: The four quests currently available are:

Accept Nordbergian Audience View Minion Burrows View Foundations View Private Quarters

6. Ignore the quests until you have had a chance to explore the Netherworld and learn of your surroundings.

7. Walk through the main level. 8. Look for dark vases with dark crystals. 9. Break the vases to acquire the crystals. 10. NOTE: The dark crystals can be used to upgrade your Tower and increase your

power. 11. Join the Minions waiting to show you around at the south end of the Netherworld

area. 12. Step on one of the lit circles to summon a stone platform. 13. Walk on to the platform to be taken to the specific level. 14. Start on the View Minion Burrows quest by taking the stone platform or

teleporting from the throne. 15. Gather some dark crystals as you walk around. 16. Stop by the graveyard to resurrect some of the Minions who died in service to

you. 17. TIP: It does cost lifeforce of the same color as the Minion to do this, but is a good

way to surround yourself with powerful and experienced Minions. The higher their level, the more expensive they are to bring back.

18. Stop at the Brown hive to see those Browns available to summon. 19. Return to the foundations on the main level. 20. Stop by the armory. 21. TIP: Once you qualify to add Red Minions to your arsenal, you can forge new

armor and weapons. 22. NOTE: Foundations also contains the tower construction area when you are

ready to upgrade your tower.

23. TIP: Once you have gathered sufficient gold and dark crystals to upgrade your Browns to level 1.

24. Head up the north staircase to the private quarters which houses the spell stone. As you collect more spell stones, upgrade your spells in your private quarters.

25. Return to the throne. 26. Grant a Nordbergian request of an audience. 27. NOTE: This takes care of the quests that were available the first time you sat on

the throne. 28. NOTE: During the audience, the villager tells you that the Empire has begun

drilling to the Netherworld and taken over Nordberg. It is time to head back to the village to see what is going on.

o Return to Nordberg

1. NOTE: Governor Borius is mining the area and fire barriers are blocking your return path.

2. TIP: Time to get yourself some Red Minions. 3. Return to the Minion gates. 4. Summon 15 Brown Minions. 5. Lead the Browns to the east to break through a wooden barrier. 6. Find the red health idol. 7. Send some Minions to transport it back to the tower gate. 8. NOTE: Once the idol reaches the gate, your maximum health increases. 9. TIP: Don't forget to send your Minions to smash all of the crates, barrels and

chests as you pass them. 10. Head further west. 11. Continue further west until you locate the Minion idol. 12. NOTE: The Minion idol upgrades your maximum Minions from 15 to 20. 13. Send some Minions to transport it back to the tower gate. 14. Have your remaining Minions kill any gnomes in the area. 15. Return to the Sanctuary Cave entrance. 16. Summon 5 more Browns at the Minion gate near the cave. 17. Enter the cave.

o The Nordberg Sanctuary

1. Find the Netherworld shard that did not react to you earlier. It is now, in acknowledgement that you are the Overlord.

2. Target the shard. 3. Send your Minions close to it. 4. Move closer to the shard. 5. Press the Magic button. 6. NOTE: This allows you to possess one of your Minions, transporting out of your

Overlord body and taking direct control of the Minion. 7. Lead the Minions to the bridge and along the narrow branch to the right.

8. NOTE: You can then bypass the barrier set up by the dryad and enter the sanctuary.

9. Order all of your Minions to attack the dryad so the pod producing the root barrier can be destroyed.

10. Once he is down, send your Minions to attack the pod. 11. NOTE: Once the pod is destroyed, the root barriers dies off. 12. Press and hold the Magic button to end your possession of the Minion. 13. Proceed across the bridge and into the sanctuary. 14. TIP: Beware the fairies. They attract the Minions, and keep them from following

your commands. 15. Continue west. 16. Take a detour south to find a stash with some crates. 17. Send your Minions to attack any pink crystals. 18. TIP: Pink crystals leave fairy gems behind to collect. 19. Continue west. 20. TIP: Watch out for the small rings of flowers that indicate the presence of Venus

flytraps that come up from the underground and attack. 21. Send your Minions to attack the Venus flytraps, assisting them with your axe. 22. Make your way to the bottom of the hill. 23. Find the tower and Minion gates. 24. Replace your supply of lost Minions. 25. Use the tower gate to teleport to any of the locations you have already visited. 26. Ignore the elves and dryads that appear while you are replenishing your Minion

supply. 27. Take you Minions north. 28. Kill any fairies and Venus flytraps with your axe. 29. Retrieve your Minions. 30. Slide down the slope. 31. Send your Minions to kill the gnomes and retrieve any treasures in the area. 32. Sweep your Minions over the branch on the water. 33. Once across, press the Guard Marker button so they don't wanter off while you

make your way across the stream 34. Send your Minions back to the Netherworld via the Minion gate before crossing

the next stream. 35. Kill any gnomes. 36. Find the dark crystal container to the south. 37. Make your way to the red thorn barrier. 38. NOTE: Red Minions appear, throwing fireballs that destroy it. 39. Follow the Reds into the cave. 40. NOTE: Ten of these Red Minions are now among your followers. 41. Leave the cave. 42. Have the Reds destroy the barrier on the right. 43. Send them out again to destroy the barrier further down the path to the right. 44. Kill the Venus flytraps in the area. 45. Have your Reds pick up any loot in the area.

46. Keep going south on the path. 47. Destroy any barriers along the way. 48. Keep killing gnomes as you still are on a quest to kill a thousand of them. 49. Continue following the path to the east. 50. Locate the Red hive across the river. 51. Kill the fairies that try to distract the Minions. 52. Retrieve your Minions and take them to the elevator platform. 53. Take the elevator up and destroy the Venus flytraps at the top. 54. Destroy any containers and find the fairy gem. 55. Slide down the slope. 56. Return to the original point where you ignored the dryads. 57. Summon Browns from the Minion gate. 58. Press the Select Minion Type button and select Reds. 59. Move them onto the platform near the dryads. 60. Press the Guard Marker button to have them aim fireballs at the dryad across the

barrier. 61. Press the Select Minion Type button and select Browns. 62. Have the Browns attack the nearest dryad. 63. After the dryads are disabled, send the Browns to attack the pod. 64. NOTE: This kills the dryads and clears the barrier. 65. Press the Select Minion Type button and select all. 66. Press the Call Back button to retrieve all of your Minions. 67. Go south with your Minions. 68. Cross the bridge. 69. Head toward the Minion gate. 70. TIP: Don't forget to have your Minions loot all the crates, barrels and chests in

the area. 71. Select your Browns as you approach the elevator platform. 72. Send the Browns to the elves on the platform. 73. Move forward until the Reds start throwing fireballs. 74. TIP: Your Reds are not good at combat like the Browns are, so always be sure to

keep them at a safe enough distance from enemies. 75. Head to the platform once the elves have been killed. 76. Take the elevator down to an area with large wooden platforms located in trees. 77. TIP: The platforms are filled with crates, chests, barrels and assorted goodies.

Make sure to loot them before moving on. 78. After taking what you can from the first platform, head downstairs to the next. 79. Keep your Reds near the edge of the platform with a guard marker. 80. Have the Browns attack any nearby elves and loot any available stashes while

your Reds throw fireballs at the enemies. 81. Retrieve your Reds once the fighting is over. 82. Loot the remaining elven platforms until you get to the last one. 83. Send some Minions to pick up and transport the harp on the last platform. 84. Make your way to the Minion gate. 85. Send your Minions to kill the Imperial soldiers guarding the gate.

86. NOTE: Your Minions then take the harp to the tower gate for transport to the Tower.

87. Lead your remaining Minions down the path to the next possession shard. 88. Possess a Minion once you are too large to continue down the path. 89. Lead the other Minions down the slope to the tower gate. 90. Loot stashes along the way. 91. Approach the elevator platform. 92. Kill the elves who guard the platform. 93. Take the elevator back to your body, end your Minion possession and resume

control of your Overlord body. 94. Take your Minions back to the elevator platform. 95. Return to the lower level. 96. Have your Browns attack the three dryads out in the high grass. 97. TIP: Keep the Reds at a distance during the combat. 98. Have your Reds shoot fireballs to set the grass on fire and damage the dryads. 99. Once the dryads have taken on sufficient damage, quickly send your Reds to the

pod to destroy it with fireballs. 100. Send your Reds across the bridge. 101. Have them destroy the barrier. 102. Send all of your Minions to attack the statue of the elf leader, Queen Fay, and

bring it down. 103. Break up the crystals. 104. Send some Minions after the mana idol from the large blue crystal. 105. TIP: Watch out for the stones that Fay drops from the cavern roof as a result of

the sanctuary destruction. 106. Use the fallen statue to cross the river. 107. Send Minions to break the crates for some health potion. 108. Follow the path to the Red hive. 109. Send Minions to attack the elves guarding it. 110. Once the elves are dead, send Minions to get the hive. 111. Send Reds to take out the barrier blocking the path. 112. Lead your Minions to the tower gate. 113. Have some Minions take the idol and hive to the Netherworld. 114. Return to the Tower.

o Back in the Netherworld

1. Make your way to the harp. 2. NOTE: Some Minions play the harp and drum while the jester Minion, Quaver'

sings a tale of your adventures. 3. Proceed to the forge. 4. Take the stone platform to the foundations. 5. Create some new weapons at the forge. 6. Use your gold and crystals to upgrade your Tower.

8. Return to the main level. 9. Take the platform to the Minion burrows. 10. Continue to the graveyard. 11. Spend some lifeforce on resurrecting some Minions, especially those at level 3 or

4. 12. Return to the throne. 13. Get ready to return to Nordberg to conquer the town.

Conquering Nordberg o Getting into the Town

1. NOTE: Governor Borius and the Imperial army are waiting for you when you return to Nordberg.

2. Call 20 Minions from the Minion gate. 3. TIP: A good mix would be 8 Reds and 12 Browns. 4. Proceed to the fire barrier to the east. 5. Target the leader of the legion in the gold armor and send your Minions to attack. 6. Move in closer to help them. 7. Once the centurion is dead, they will be easy individual targets. Send your

Minions to attack the soldiers. 8. Destroy the tent to keep it from spawning reinforcements. 9. Select the Reds. 10. Send them to the eastern fire barrier to douse the flames. 11. Select all Minions. 12. Have them break down the barrier. 13. Continue down the path past the barrier and to the right. 14. Send some of your Minions to get the forge stone and take it to the tower gate. 15. NOTE: You can use it to create new axes, swords, armor and helmet, but need

to acquire more goodies to afford to do so. 16. Proceed down the trail to the next legion. 17. Send your Minions to kill the centurion off to the side. 18. Select all Minions. 19. Place a guard marker near you. 20. NOTE: The Reds will move close to the marker, surrounded by Browns. The

Reds will then throw fireballs at the enemy while the Browns attack soldiers who are too close.

21. Press and hold the Target Lock button. This will lock it onto the guard marker to keep the enemies within fireball range.

22. Continue down the path to the north to the next legion. 23. Move your Reds onto the ledge so they can look down on the soldiers. 24. Place a guard marker so they can throw fireballs down. 25. Send the Browns to attack the centurion when about half of the legion is

destroyed. 26. Help the Browns with the centurion.

27. Finish off the legion. 28. Loot the camp once all the soldiers are dead. 29. Take your Minions across to the other side of the path. 30. Get any possible potions and goodies from the crates. 31. Continue west with your Minions to Nordberg Town and the next legion. 32. Proceed left off the path. 33. Sneak up behind the centurion behind the shack. 34. Attack the centurion. 35. Destroy the legion and its tent. 36. Continue east and up the stairs to the platform armed with a ballista. 37. Kill the soldiers on guard. 38. Send 5 Browns to power the ballista. 39. Provide a guard marker for the remaining Minions at the top of the stairs. 40. Continue onto the steerling platform. 41. Take control of the ballista. 42. Fire the ballista at the legions and destroy the tent. 43. Break up all of the legions. 44. Keep firing until there are only a few soldiers left. 45. Leave the ballista. 46. Order your Minions to regroup. 47. Eliminate the few remaining soldiers. 48. Head south with your horde of Minions to the forest opening. 49. Get the gold from the chest. 50. Continue south along the tracks until you get to the Empire's Netherworld

excavation site. 51. Select Reds and send one to the right. 52. Target the cart. 53. Press the Send button once to ignite the mine cart filled with explosives. 54. Call back the Reds as soon as the cart is ignited. 55. Select all Minions. 56. Lead them through the opening. 57. Head west. 58. Send the Minions to the right to kill the soldiers guarding the wolves. 59. Have the Minions tame the wolves so they can use them for mounts. 60. Replace losses at the Minion gates. 61. Attack the legion you encounter as you begin to leave the area. 62. Set up a guard marker for your Reds so they can begin throwing fireballs. 63. Send your Browns that are mounted on wolves to attack. 64. Kill the centurion. 65. Continue west and enter the northwest corner of the Hunting Ground. 66. Send your Minions to turn the wheel by the tower gate. 67. NOTE: This lowers the bridge and allows access to the remainder of the map. 68. Have your Minions loot the structure and retrieve the gold. 69. Return to the dig site at Nordberg with the mounted Browns. 70. Send your Browns to the right to attack the soldiers.

71. Place your Reds on a guard marker within fireball range. 72. Once the soldiers have been disposed of, kill their centurion. 73. Loot the area before moving on. 74. Target the guard marker. 75. Sweep it to the edge overlooking the dig site. 76. Have your Red Minions throw fireballs at the soldiers below. 77. Select the Browns who are mounted on wolves. 78. Sweep them east across the wooden beam until they are on the platform. 79. Then sweep them north to the next platform until they reach the platform with the

wheel. 80. Have your Minions turn the wheel to open the door and have the cart of

explosives roll into the track below. 81. Move the Reds so they can fire their fireballs at the cart. 82. NOTE: After the explosion, the original cart is replaced by a second cart and the

barrier to the dig site is removed. 83. Retrieve your Red Minions. 84. Head for the barrier opening created by the explosion. 85. Ignore the second cart and follow the rail tracks to the east. 86. Leave your Reds at a guard marker. 87. Have them throw fireballs onto the below legion as well as the legion on the left. 88. In the meantime, head east with your Browns. 89. Have them loot the next area you reach. 90. Continue to the next wheel. 91. Send your mounted Browns across the gap to turn the wheel and release

another explosives cart below. 92. Have your Reds ignite the cart with fireballs to kill some of the legion's soldiers. 93. Gather all of your Minions. 94. Head west to the tents of the dig site camp area. 95. Leave the Reds in the camp area. 96. Go with your Browns to fight the legion. 97. Target the cart. 98. Send some Browns to push the cart to the end of the tracks. 99. Call them back once they are blocked by a pile of boulders. 100. Send one of your Red Minions to ignite the cart. 101. Proceed with your Minions to the end of the track. 102. Climb up the stairs. 103. Attack the centurion. (He should be the last remaining enemy in the area). 104. Send some Minions to the platform to turn the wheel. 105. NOTE: This releases yet another cart of explosives onto the track that leads to

Nordberg Town. 106. Make your way to the raised bridge. 107. Push the cart to the path leading to the town. 108. Locate the enemy archers on the ledge overlooking the track. 109. Select your mounted Browns. 110. Sweep the mounted Browns up the path to the left side and across the gap.

111. Have your Browns kill the archers. 112. Have 4 of your Browns push the cart. 113. Summon them once the cart is in front of the boulders near the archers' ledge. 114. Send a red to ignite the cart. 115. Retreat so you do not take damage. 116. Have your Minions carry the Minion idol back to the tower gate. 117. NOTE: Your maximum horde size increases to 25 minions once the idol reaches

the Netherworld. 118. Continue to the Minion gates near the tower gate. 119. Summon 5 more Red Minions. 120. NOTE: Your group should total 15 Browns and 10 Reds. 121. Return to the cart. 122. Order four Browns push it to the end of the line and off the edge. 123. Send in a Red to ignite the fuse once it has rolled close to the town gate. 124. Several Imperial legions march out to prevent you from entering the town after

the explosion opens the gate. 125. Climb up onto the ballista platform with your Minions. 126. Take control of the ballista. 127. Turn the ballista around. 128. Take out the archers on either side of the gate on the town wall. 129. Fire at the legions of soldiers to break them out of formation. 130. Leave the ballista. 131. Send your Minions out to finish off the soldiers. 132. Replace any losses at the Minion gates. 133. Head back up the rail tracks. 134. Order your Minions to push another cart towards the town. 135. Blow it up when it stops. 136. Get the container with the dark crystal.

o Taking Control of Nordberg Town

1. Enter the town. 2. Turn left. 3. Head northwest. 4. NOTE: Villagers are throwing firecrackers to keep you and your Minions at a

distance. You and the Browns can catch on fire if you get too close. 5. Select the Reds. 6. Put them into a guard marker. 7. Hold the Target Lock button to lock the marker. 8. Sweep the marker forward to have the Reds throw fireball at the villagers to clear

your path. 9. Replace any losses at the Minion gates at the top of the hill. 10. Continue north until you find Governor Borius on top of a wooden platform. 11. Borius escapes; send your Minions to kill the soldiers left behind. 12. Take your Minions to the right to the temple.

13. Dispose of the soldiers guarding the temple. 14. Have your Minions knock down the temple. 15. Then order them to push the Borius statue to the area below. 16. Lead your Minions down the hill back towards the town gate. 17. Turn left. 18. Cross the bridge. 19. Follow the path to the town square. 20. Kill any soldiers you meet. 21. NOTE: The gate is locked. 22. Cross to the eastern side of the town square. 23. Continue north up the path to the platform with a ballista. 24. Climb the platform stairs up to the top. 25. Send your Minions to attack the ballista and kill all of the soldiers. 26. Sweep some Minions up the stairs to the statue of Borius on the town hall and

have them knock it off the edge. 27. NOTE: The statue lands on top of Borius himself. 28. Walk to the edge of the platform. 29. Target the controls to descend to town hall. 30. Decide if you want to enslave or kill Borius. 31. NOTE: This decision determines if you want to be a dominating Overlord,

subduing towns and enslaving villagers to work for you, or a destructive Overlord who destroys towns and kills the inhabitants. If you opt to dominate, you will receive a steady supply of goodies and gold from your underlings. Destruction will still result in a lot of lifeforce and loot, but once someone is dead there are no additional goodies.

32. Use your spell as you did earlier with the villagers to either kill or subdue Borius.

o The Tyranny of Destruction or Domination

1. Proceed to the door of town hall. 2. Press the Strike button. 3. Spend 50 Brown lifeforce to occupy the town hall. 4. A tower gate then appears next to the town hall. 5. NOTE: Borius' female companion is Kelda, the child who helped you as the witch

boy. She is grateful for having been rescued from Borius and returns with you to the Tower to be your mistress in residence.

o The Spoils of Conquest

1. Return to the Tower. 2. Ascend the stairs behind the throne to the private quarters where Kelda is

waiting. 3. Visit the alcover and begin to decorate the Tower with candles and banners. 4. TIP: Take advantage of your time at the Tower to upgrade Minions at the

foundations and visit the graveyard to resurrect Minions. 5. Return to Nordberg Town to take control.

6. Select a house and have your Minions break down the door and loot it. 7. Send your villagers after the fleeing villagers. 8. As the Minions hold them, subdue or kill them. 9. NOTE: Killing them earns immediate lifeforce and loot. Subduing them means

they will work for you either mining gold, farming seals, making weapons and quipment. Also, if you choose to subdue, you can always return to kill later.

10. TIP: Villagers have a tendency to hide in the wooden houses throughout the town. Target lock the front doors and send the Minions in to find them. When the house is empty, burn them to gather collectibles and treasure. Don't forget crates and chests in the abandoned buildings or in the town outskirts.

To the Sea o Getting the Ship

1. NOTE: One of the Nordberg citizens informs you that villagers are trying to free a ship stuck in the ice. As the Overlord, that is your ship and you must stop them.

2. Dismis the villager. 3. Teleport back to Nordberg. 4. Summon 15 Browns and 10 Reds from the Minion gates near the tower gate. 5. Send Minions to empty any tribute chests in the area if you chose to subdue

rather than kill the villagers. 6. Lead your Minions through the northwestern town gate near the wolf den. 7. Once out of Nordberg, you wind up in Nordhaven. 8. NOTE: The tower gate and Minion gates to the left of the path can be used for

reinforcements or return to the Tower. 9. Position your Reds on the wooden platform overlooking the camp. 10. Set a guard marker. 11. Have the Reds start throwing fireballs at the hunters. 12. Move in with your Browns. 13. Kill the hunters. 14. TIP: Don't forget the spear hunters on the other platform. 15. Destroy the igloos. 16. Loot the camp. 17. Go west along the trail. 18. Attack any hunters you encounter. 19. Send your Minions to get the Nordberg villagers trying to escape. 20. Either subdue or kill them while the Minions keep them in place. 21. Continue along the trail until you get to the tar pit surrounded by gnomes. 22. Have your Minions kill the gnomes. 23. Loot the crates. 24. NOTE: You cannot continue any further because the path is blocked by ice. 25. Place your Reds into a guard meter near the tar pit. 26. Have them throw fireballs at the tar pit to melt the ice. 27. Take your Minions down the path once the ice barrier is melted. 28. NOTE: As the path widens, there are hunters in hiding waiting to ambush your

group.

29. Take the alternate narrow path to the right. 30. Sweep your Reds onto the lumber. 31. Hold them past the curve with a guard marker. 32. Have them throw fireballs at the hunters. 33. Sweep the Browns across the lumber to attack the hunters' platform. 34. Have the Browns finish off the hunters. 35. Return to the wider area in the path. 36. Loot the crates. 37. Continue down the path to the burning barrier. 38. Send your Reds to put out the flames. 39. Break through the barrier with your Browns. 40. Loot chests and crates further down the path to the left. 41. Replace any Minions at the nearby Minion gates. 42. Proceed over the land bridge. 43. Send your Minions to kill the hunters at the far end. 44. Continue until you reach the next hunting camp. 45. Place your Reds at a guard marker on the wooden platform to fireball the hunters

and igloos in the camp area below. 46. Take the stairs on the right down to the camp with your Browns. 47. Send some of your Browns to destroy the igloos to prevent spawning

replacement hunters. 48. Kill all of the hunters. 49. Retrieve your Reds. 50. Send Minions up the stairs to turn the wheel to open the dam of tar. 51. After the tar flows into the pit to the south, lead your Minions back to your entry

point. 52. Send the Reds to the platform that overlooks the tar pit. 53. Set up a guard marker for them to ignite the tar. 54. Continue east along the path. 55. Take the right at the fork. 56. Head down to the river bank. 57. Kill the seals for lifeforce. 58. Smash any crates. 59. Don't hang around to avoid any hunters in the area. 60. Return up to the main trail. 61. Ready your group for a fight. 62. The hunters you are fighting on the trail are joined by hunters from the northern

forests. 63. Retrieve your Browns to protect your Reds if need be. 64. Send your Minions north into the woods once the battle is over. 65. Look for chests in the woods and claim their treasure. 66. Continue east with your horde. 67. Cross the bridge and locate the third tar pit. 68. Place your Reds in a guard marker near the wooden fence overlooking the pit. 69. Set fire to the third pit completes a subquest.

70. Retrieve your Reds for a fight with hunters on the main path. 71. Grab the treasure on the ledge north of the trail after the fight. 72. Continue east to the village of Nordhaven. 73. Head north to the tower gate. 74. Restore your health and mana. 75. Find the Minion gates and replenish your Minion supply if necessary. 76. Continue looting your way east through town. 77. Either kill or subdue villagers, whichever your determined course of action. 78. Stop at the wooden barricades. 79. Kill the hunters who break through the barricades and attack. 80. Continue on your path to the tar pit. 81. Draw closer to lure the hunters with some elves and take care of them. 82. Send Browns up to the platform on the left to clear out all of the hunters. 83. Hurry to the far side of the map to dispose of the spear hunters on the other

platform. 84. If you are on the domination path, head north to find more villagers to subdue

and some more treasure. 85. If you are on the devastation path, head south to the tar pit. 86. Clear out the hunters to the south of the pit. 87. Send Reds up the stairs to set fire to the giant tar pit. 88. NOTE: This will destroy the town and free the ship. 89. NOTE: If you are focused on domination, subdue ten villagers to take care of the

ship.

o On to the Sea

1. NOTE: Time to deal with the elves who were trying to steal your ship. 2. Return to the tower gate near town. 3. Restore your health and mana. 4. Be sure to have a full complement of Brown and Red Minions. 5. Proceed to the docks. 6. Send the Minions onto the ship. 7. 10 Minions are necessary to man the oars and power the ship. 8. Board the ship when they are ready. 9. Move to the back of the ship. 10. Press the Strike button to control the ship. 11. Hold down the Send button to accelerate to ramming speed. 12. Eye the crates floating in the river. 13. Steer into an ice floe to push it into the crates (containing mines) to blow it up

and remove the barrier. 14. Turn the ship to sail due south. 15. Note the mines ahead as well as the elven ships that are blocking your path. 16. Sail next to the jetty on the left. 17. Press the Call Back button to dock the ship. 18. Take your Minions to attack the elves near the Minion gates.

19. Kill the large seals too. 20. Put all of your Minions in a guard marker. 21. Continue south across the stream to the ice floe. 22. Move towards the small seals and they will flee into the mines, destroying the

seals and sinking the elven ship. 23. Return to the ship, retrieving your Minions on the way. 24. Send them back onto the ship and resume your journey. 25. Set sail due south and begin your journey to Everlight Reef.

Everlight Reef 1. NOTE: On the way to Everlight, your ship arrives on a reef filled with shipwrecks. 2. Check the dock off to your left. 3. Visit the tower gate and Minion gates near the dock to restore health and mana,

or replenish your Minion supply. 4. Continue sailing south and west towards the Everlight gates. 5. As you get closer, elves move idols away from the water and the gates are

closed. 6. Sail north around the west side of the center island. 7. Dock on the north side of the island. 8. Take your Minions ashore. 9. Follow the path until you run into some elves. 10. Kill the elves. 11. Loot the area. 12. TIP: Hit tree trunks to shake fruit from the trees. Pick up the fruit and break it

open to see if it contains a health potion. 13. Have 3 Minions get the first gate key to the city of Everlight. 14. Sweep the remaining Minions to the bamboo platform to break it down. 15. Follow the path to the spot with the crates. 16. Loot the crates. 17. Summon more Minions at the Minion gates if necessary. 18. Head south with your Minions. 19. Go through the tunnel. 20. There are elves to the left. Ignore them for now as they can throw poison bombs. 21. Have your Minions place the gate key in the slot at the end of the tunnel. Three

more keys need to be returned to their slots to open the gates to Everlight. 22. Turn right. 23. Follow the path down the stairs. 24. Go to the right. 25. Proceed to the top of the temple. 26. Send your Minions to kill the elves. 27. Loot the crates. 28. Cross the bridge to the east. 29. Set up a guard marker for all of your Minions. 30. Sweep them along the bridge. 31. Elves attack from the other side. 32. The Browns need to protect the Reds.

33. Cross the bridge. 34. Retrieve your Minions. 35. Send your Minions after the elves and their platform. 36. Destroy the platform to keep more elves from spawning. 37. Send Minions to clear the chests of gold behind the statue at the top of the

temple. 38. Lead your Minions onto the platform. 39. Use the key to take the elevator down to the bottom. 40. Have some Minions carry the gate key. 41. Continue until the shipwrecks block your path. 42. Target the nearest explosive barrel. 43. Send one Red to ignite it. 44. The resulting chain reaction clears your path and opens another dock. 45. Send Minions to pick up the resulting lifeforce after the explosions. 46. Follow the outer walkway to the right until you come to a tower gate. 47. Continue to the slot for the second gate key. 48. NOTE: Some of the elves have figured out that you are gathering gate keys and

try to escape with the third one. 49. Proceed through the tunnel behind you. 50. Loot the crates to the north and east. 51. Fight the elves with the poison near the stone bridge to the west. 52. Kill them quickly and escape the green poison gas clouds. 53. Return to your ship on the north dock. 54. Climb aboard. 55. Set sail for the southwest corner of the map to intercept the elven ship. 56. Their ship gets through the rocks to the right of the gate and comes right at you. 57. Steer to avoid it so you don't sink. 58. Get alongside the ship. 59. Have your Reds throw fireballs at its sails to destroy them and prevent its

escape. 60. Once you have destroyed all of the sails, pull alongside and board the ship. 61. NOTE: Your ship automatically attaches itself to the elven ship. 62. Lead your Minions across to board and kill all of the elves. 63. Have your Browns man the oars. 64. Return this ship to its place of origin. 65. Dock the ship. 66. Lead your Minions with the gate key around the path to the right. 67. TIP: There are some Minion gates to the right if you need to replenish. 68. Fight off the mermaids. 69. TIP: Keep your Reds away from the Mermaids. Their water shots can kill them. 70. Head upstairs to the right. 71. Have your Minions insert the key into the slot that activates the elevator. 72. Ride the elevator to the top. 73. Send Minions to pick up the key. 74. Lead the Minions up the stairs.

75. Find more Minion gates and crates at the top of the stairs. 76. Turn right. 77. Enter the tunnel. 78. Place the third key in the slot at the end of the tunnel. 79. Loot the crates by the Minion gates. 80. Head downstairs to the right. 81. Loot more crates. 82. Send a Minion to break the container near the water and retrieve the dark crystal. 83. Lead your Minions along the path. 84. Kill any mermaids you see. 85. Order a Red to throw fireballs at the explosive barrels at the end of the path. 86. The chain reaction blows up the shipwrecks, clearing the way for you to continue. 87. Follow the path back to the ship. 88. Loot any crates on the way. 89. Board the ship. 90. Sail north and then to the northeast of the central island to the dock. 91. Leave the ship. 92. Take your group on the grassy path towards the idol. 93. Set a guard marker for the Minions. 94. Fight off the elves. 95. Send four Reds for the idol and have them return with it to the ship. 96. Kill the elves that try to ambush you. 97. Set sail. 98. Head to the dock by the tower gate on the center island. 99. Leave the ship. 100. Send the Minions with the idol to the tower gate. 101. NOTE: Your maximum health will increase when the island is taken to the

Netherworld. 102. Sail to the northeast corner of the center island. 103. Line up your ship. 104. Have your Minions row as fast as they can. 105. Press the Strike button to hit the drummer and get the ship to ramming speed. 106. Send Minions to pick up another idol at the dock. 107. Return to the ship. 108. Find the chests past where the idol was located. 109. Strike the chests. 110. Pick up the gold. 111. Take the idol back to the tower gate. 112. Your group size is now increased to 30 Minions. 113. Sail southeast from the dock by the tower gate. 114. Break through the rock barrier with your Minions rowing at ramming speed. 115. Dock at the wooden structure. 116. Lead your group off the ship. 117. Continue around to the left. 118. Loot any crates.

119. Knock down the platform, killing the elves inside. 120. NOTE: A second platform of elves is waiting on the right side of the stairs. 121. Kill the elves and loot the area. 122. Ascend the stone stairs with your horde. 123. Place a guard marker for them and sweep it forward. 124. NOTE: Elves will likely be set on fire before your Browns will have a chance at

them. 125. Sweep the guard marker forward and up the stairs. 126. Retrieve your Minions from the guard marker. 127. Send them to attack the platforms at the top of the area that spawns elves. 128. Clear the area. 129. Summon additional Minions from the Minion gates. 130. Place all of your Minions on a guard marker. 131. Sweep them across the bridge. 132. Stop whenever the elves attack. 133. Destroy the platforms in the next area. 134. Leave your Minions on the guard marker to support one another while they take

on the elves. 135. Head up the flight of stairs alone. 136. Destroy the last of the two platforms. 137. Finish off any remaining elves. 138. Retrieve your Minions and send some to get the final key. 139. Lead them through a tunnel to the slot. 140. Place the key in the slot. 141. The gates to Everlight are opened. 142. Lead your Minions back to the ship. 143. Loot anything you find along the way. 144. Board the ship. 145. Set sail for the gate. 146. Stop by a tower gate and make a return trip to the Tower. 147. Resurrect some of your higher level Minions.

Into the Everlight Jungle o Shipwreck

1. Once through the gates at Everlight Reef, you can see the island up ahead but are distracted by a large nasty spider. After the spider wrecks the ship, it captures your Minions and places them in cocoons. You are alone on a beach.

2. Hack at the first cocoon you see to free your Minion. 3. Defeat the spiders that descend from the trees to protect their food supply. 4. Pick up any remaining green lifeforce. 5. TIP: You will need this green lifeforce for Green Minions. 6. Loot any crates and chests on the beach. 7. Ascend the stone steps and continue into the jungle. 8. Leave your Minion at a guard marker. 9. Continue west along the walkway.

10. Go down the stairs. 11. Wade across a tidal pool. 12. Send for your Minion to get the treasure chests. 13. Ascend the stairs to the next cocoon. 14. Free the Minion. 15. Kill the spiders. 16. Cross the bridge to the south. 17. Take a right at the split in the trail. 18. Keep an eye out for more chests and crates. 19. Rescue two more Minions. 20. Return to the main trail. 21. Follow it southeast and then south. 22. Cross the bridge. 23. See the tower gate in the distance. 24. Follow the trail to the tower gate. 25. Free the Minions and kill the spiders when you find the two cocoons... one to the

north and the other to the south. 26. Send your Minions to kill the elves and join in to help. 27. Take some time to do some looting at the beach to the west of the trail. 28. Continue on the trail for another cocoon. 29. Free your Minion and kill any spiders. 30. Continue on the trail until you arrive at the end in a large open area. 31. Defeat the elf priestess to unblock the path. 32. Move to the stone platform where she is standing. 33. Have your Minions follow her to the ground and attack. 34. NOTE: The priestess summons spiders and elves for assistance. 35. Fight off these enemies while the priestess returns to the platform. 36. Continue to move in close while she is on the platform. 37. Hit her hard when she jumps down to the ground. 38. Once she is dead, the pathway is open. 39. Leave the area through the eastern exit. 40. Follow the path around to the tower gate. 41. Walk up to the tower gate to restore your health and mana. 42. Send all of your Minions back to the Netherworld.

o Going for the Greens

1. NOTE: Two pathways are blocked by bricks and poison and only Green Minions can clear poison.

2. Go down the hill and locate the forge stone. 3. Wade across the pond. 4. Find the small crop of bamboo near a panda. 5. TIP: Do not try to kill the panda. You will not not be able to hurt him much and will

just make him mad. 6. Sneak past the panda to the next area.

7. Cut some bamboo to get past the second panda. 8. This will make the panda angry, so hurry through the gate on your right. 9. Continue down the path. 10. Spot some Greens ahead, with a panda sitting directly in front of them. 11. Move through the gap in the rock and cut the bamboo to the right. 12. The panda follows you, but stops guarding the Greens. 13. Cut through the bamboo. 14. Enter the Greens' area to rescue them. 15. Fifteen of them follow you and join your horde. 16. TIP: If you lose any Greens on your adventures, return to this area to get more. 17. Lead your horde past the panda out of this area. 18. Put your Greens onto a guard marker. 19. Sweep them towards the panda onto the narrow path on the left. 20. The Greens will jump on the panda's back and attack. 21. TIP: Return to the area you found them to replenish your supply if you lose some

Greens in the attack. 22. Advance back to the central area where you left the earlier panda. 23. Kill it to continue. 24. Position your Greens into two guard markers near the gap in the rock. 25. Sweep one group towards the panda but to the right and out of reach. 26. Sweep the second group out of reach to the left. 27. Wait for the Greens to lie in ambush unseen. 28. Cut some bamboo. 29. When the panda tries to attack and passes the two groups of greens, they will

attack and kill the panda. 30. Cut through the bamboo to the west. 31. Send your Greens out to loot. 32. Slash the bamboo to the north. 33. Send your Greens to get rid of the poison. 34. Break through the brick barrier with your weapon. 35. Follow the path to the area off to the left with a cocoon. 36. Free the Brown. 37. Kill the spiders. 38. Continue along the main path to the next Green lair. 39. More Greens can join the horde from here until you have your full complement of

15 again. 40. Continue toward the large area with the two elf priestesses. 41. Defeat both to get through the gate on the opposite side. 42. Head towards one priestess. 43. Place your Minions on a guard marker in front of the stone platform. 44. As you move towards the platform, the priestess jumps off to the ground and the

Greens jump and attack her. 45. Call back your Minions when the priestess jumps to a third platform. 46. Sweep them up along the narrow path to the left of the platform so they attack

her from behind.

47. As she jumps away to the ground, move in to attack and finish her off. 48. NOTE: Use the same process to kill the second priestess. 49. Leave the area. 50. Pick up more Greens if necessary at the third lair. 51. Head to the beach across from the lair. 52. Loot the beach. Don't miss the treasure chests and the dark crystal in the corner. 53. Check for any cocoons with a Brown. 54. Break it open. 55. Kill any spiders. 56. Return to the main path once you have all of the loot. 57. Kill the elf that attacks. 58. Free the 10th Minion from a cocoon off to the right to complete this quest. 59. Continue south along the trail. 60. Take care of any elves that attack. 61. Keep going on the trail until you get to the end at the large statue. 62. Send your Minions to move the statue out of the way so you can pass. 63. NOTE: All of the jungles have been explored at this point. 64. You have made a complete circle and are now back at the forge stone. 65. Send some Minions to carry it back to the tower gate so you can use it to forge

new weapons in the Netherworld. 66. Head back to the tower gate. 67. Send some Greens to clear the poison from the barrier. 68. Break down the barrier to reveal a spell stone. 69. Order your Minions to carry it back to the tower gate. 70. This will give you access to the halo spell, temporarily boosting the power of your

Minion horde or creating a shockwave that will damage enemies. 71. Visit the minion gates at the tower gate. 72. Add some Reds and Browns to your horde. 73. Send your Greens to clear the poison from the barrier across from the tower

gate. 74. Break down the barrier. 75. Follow the trail to the Everlight Facility where the hive is being held by the

Empire. The Everlight Facility

o Finding the Green Hive

1. NOTE: It is your job to find the Green hive in the Empire's fortress and return it to the Netherworld so you can summon Greens from Minion gates.

2. Follow the trail north to the tower gate. 3. See if you can find an entrance other than the main one to the Empire fortress. 4. Head south and then northwest along the path that leads to a possession stone. 5. There is also a Green Minion lair in this area. 6. Some Greens from it will join your horde. 7. Select Greens and send them after the possession stone. 8. Press the Magic button as they dance around it to possess one of them.

9. Once you are inside the Green, head through the poison cloud. 10. Cross the narrow stone bridge. 11. Send your Minions to kill some gnomes. 12. Pick up their lifeforce. 13. Enter the fortress. 14. Lead your group upstairs. 15. Send the Greens to kill a soldier at the end of the passage. 16. Look for containers with green clouds around them. 17. Break them open to release more Greens to join your horde. 18. Move to the right. 19. Find some treasure crates. 20. Walk the narrow stone path. 21. Make your way to the other side of the entrance for more crates. 22. Return to your point of entry. 23. Break open a container near the hive to get a dark crystal. 24. Send five Minions to stand on the pressure plate and open the gate to the left. 25. Lead the Minions into the chamber and loot it. 26. Get the treasure from the chests at the end and around the corner. 27. Get all of the available weapons, lifeforce, etc from all of the containers and

crates. 28. Lead your horde through the opening to the right of the hive. 29. Follow the path along the narrow stone walkway over the garden.

o Clearing Out the Fortress

1. Continue back into the building. 2. Turn left. 3. Turn left again. 4. Enter the small room. 5. Get the gold from the treasure chests. 6. Continue downstairs and pass the opening to the garden. 7. Find more loot in the dark alcove. 8. Return to the entrance to the garden. 9. Wait for the eradicator to walk past. 10. Lead your horde into the plants in the middle. 11. Place the Greens on a guard marker near an edge of the fence. 12. When the eradicator walks past, the Greens will kill him. 13. Head through the small opening in the western wall. 14. Free a Green in a container. 15. Move out onto a ledge overlooking an eradicator. 16. Place a guard marker on the ledge. 17. Leave half of your horde on the ledge, keeping at least five Greens with you. 18. Lead the remaining Greens over to the pressure switch. 19. Place them on a guard marker on top of the switch. 20. Get out of the way.

21. The switch opens a cage, releasing some gnomes. 22. As the eradicator moves in to get the gnomes, he will walk past one of the guard

markers and be ambushed by the Greens. 23. Call back your Minions once the area is clear. 24. Lead them under the platform to loot the treasure chests. 25. Climb onto the platform. 26. Turn the wheel to open the gate. 27. Follow the tunnel to the end. 28. Send your Greens to attack and kill the eradicator. 29. Turn the nearby wheel to open another gate. 30. Move the hive forward. 31. Send Minions to grab it and move it to the next closed gate. 32. Head through the small opening near the closed gate and enter a large room. 33. Several Empire women are accusing someone of witchcraft. 34. Walk around the edges of the room and pick up more loot. 35. Move your horde down to the main floor. 36. Attack and kill the women for lifeforce. 37. Loot the containers. 38. NOTE: More Greens are here that will join your horde. 39. After the room is clear, leave through the northeast exit. 40. Pick up any loot as you near the central fortress exit. 41. Send your Minions after the eradicator near the exit. 42. Turn the wheel to open another gate. 43. Leave the hive. 44. Follow the walkway to the north. 45. Be careful once the walkway turns to the east as there is a sentinel with a magic

red light. 46. TIP: If the light hits you or your Minions it will immediately start inflicting damage. 47. Wait until the light moves to the east. 48. Head up the steps. 49. Duck into the first alcove on the left before the light returns. 50. Move to the eastern end of the alcove. 51. Exit when the light passes by heading to the west. 52. Rush out on the walkway. 53. Head east again to the next small opening. 54. Head up the steps to the left to come up behind the sentinel tower. 55. Order your Minions to attack, knocking down the tower and killing the sentinel. 56. Head east to exit to the walkway again. 57. Turn the wheel. 58. Open the gate. 59. Get the hive and bring it here. 60. Move through the small opening in the wall to the east. 61. Move south in the grassy alcove to loot chests. 62. Head north and around to the east and south to find another Green in a

container.

63. Some eradicators are in the next area, one patrolling the northern walkway and the other in the lower center.

64. Wait until the first eradicator is walking away. 65. Position your Greens at a guard marker south of the northwest corner of the

walkway. 66. The Greens ambush and kill him as he walks by. 67. Lead your Minions north into a grassy alcove. 68. Follow it to the east. 69. Leave all but five Greens on a guard marker on a ledge overlooking stairs below. 70. Send the rest to a guard marker on top of a pressure switch in the floor by a cage

of gnomes. 71. This releases some gnomes and lures the second eradicator to your Green

ambush. 72. Stop at the southern corners for some treasure. 73. Turn the wheel by the gate. 74. Head upstairs. 75. Follow the passage to the west. 76. Send your Minions to attack some soldiers. 77. Turn the wheel to open the gate. 78. Send Minions to carry the hive to the elevator. 79. Call back the Greens. 80. Head south across the plank of wood. 81. Continue along the walkway to a pressure switch. 82. Move some Minions onto the switch to open a large gate. 83. Head through the small gate. 84. Loot the alcove. 85. Exit the alcove through an opening to the east. 86. Make your way down a large flight of stairs. 87. Enter a low passageway. 88. Look for an eradicator. 89. When the eradicator moves to the west away from you, send your Greens to

attack from behind. 90. Place your Greens on a guard marker on a ledge in the southwest corner to

ambush soldiers. 91. Lead your horde through a small opening in the southeast. 92. Head north. 93. Head east to exit the fortress. 94. Find some loot, including a dark crystal on a narrow piece of land. 95. Head back to the fortress. 96. Wait for the second eradicator to walk away from you. 97. Send your Greens to kill him. 98. Finish off the remaining soldiers in the area. 99. Loot the area once the soldiers are dead. 100. Head to the large gate in the west when looting is finished. 101. Turn a wheel to open the gate.

Turn the wheel in the northwest corner and lower the hive on the elevator. 129. Move your Minions onto the nearby pressure switch to open the panda cages. 130. Get the goodies from the cages once the pandas are gone, including a dark

crystal. 131. Finish off the remaining eradicators by hiding in the central garden plot and

ambushing them. 132. Send your Minions to pick up the Green hive and carry it towards the entrance. 133. Lead them out of the fortress. 134. Have them carry the hive to the tower gate. 135. NOTE: You can now summon Greens from Green Minion gates. 136. Return your Greens into the Minion gate to return to the Netherworld. 137. Hole down the Magic button to end the possession and return to your Overlord

body. 138. Head south along the main road, leaving your Minions at the tower gate. 139. Summon Greens from another Minion gate on the south side of the stream. 140. Send them to clear the poison from a barrier. 141. Break down the barrier.

142. Head south to the next area. The Conquest of Everlight Town

o The Outskirts of Everlight

1. NOTE: You are now at the outskirts of Everlight Town. 2. Continue on the path until you get to the tower gate. 3. Summon Red and Brown Minions to accompany your Greens.

o Return to the Netherworld

1. Return to the Tower in the Netherworld. 2. Visit the forge in the foundations. 3. Spend some treasure and lifeforce to upgrade your weapons and make an Evil

Eye helmet. This protects your head and doubles your lifeforce collected. 4. Upgrade your Minions to at least level 1 across the board.

o Approaching the Spider Temple

1. Summon a horde at the Minion gates. A good mix would be 12 Browns, 8 Reds, and 10 Greens.

2. Lead your horde north towards the large gate leading to Everlight Town. 3. When you finish off the soldiers, you will see an Eradicator. 4. NOTE: Hopefully he hasn't noticed you and you'll be able to just send in your

greens. 5. Put your greens on guard so they are invisible just in case. 6. Once he runs past in pursuit of your Minions, the Greens will leap out and take

him down. 7. Another Eradicator is waiting up ahead. 8. Sweep your greens up the stairs to the ledge. 9. They'll leap down and take him out. 10. When he's down, send in the rest of your Minions and destroy the soldiers. 11. There's a free spell catalyst here, so have your minions grab it and bring it back

to the gate. 12. Grab up the loot hiding in the corner to the right of the entrance. 13. Proceed up the stairs and to the ornate entrance nearby. 14. You'll find yourself face-to-maw with the spider that sank your boat. 15. Get the gate key near the bridge. 16. Bring it back to the area where you killed the Eradicator and the soldiers. 17. Continue down a nearby path and slice your way through the bamboo. 18. Get the statue out of the way. 19. You'll find yourself in an area with a metal gate. 20. A slot will be there for the red key, so drop it in. 21. The gate will drop, and you'll be able to proceed. 22. The Elf Queen Fay is back. 23. She hasn't forgotten the way you treated her in the sanctuary.

24. Accordingly, she'll sic a nice-sized troll on you, which you will have to defeat to continue. Luckily, it's not too smart.

25. Station your Reds near the entrance. 26. Bring your Browns and Greens around back. 27. While it goes for your Reds, have your Browns and Greens attack from behind. 28. When it crouches to jump, withdraw them as quickly as possible or you'll start

losing Minions. 29. Keep up your attacks and it'll go down fairly quickly. 30. The blue key will be waiting nearby. 31. Soldiers will be waiting for you when you try to return with the blue key. 32. Attack head-on. 33. Leave the key. 34. Send in all of your Minions. 35. When the soldiers are distracted, wade in and use your shockwave spell so your

Minions can finish them off. 36. When they're done, kill the centurion nearby. 37. Grab the key. 38. Continue back to the temple bridge. 39. With both of the keys in place, you'll now be able to proceed across the bridge.

o Escape from the Temple

1. Be careful. Baby spiders will rush out to meet you. They can cut through Reds and Greens easily.

2. Get your Browns up front and they'll take care of things for you. 3. Continue forward. 4. You'll find yourself in a room with a gate blocking the way. 5. The fight is fairly straightforward, but it can be tricky. 6. Begin by sending one Minion to grab one of the flowers on either side of the

room. 7. Have them bring it to one of the grates, where it will explode and draw the spider. 8. When it makes it to the wall with the grates, hit the button in the middle of the

room and a torrent of water will wash it out. 9. Immediately send everything you have to attack, because this is the only time it

can be damaged. 10. It'll soon jump up and scramble back to the wall. 11. NOTE: There are four buttons in the corner of each room. 12. Station a brown on each one, or the middle button won't work. 13. Keep a sharp eye out for the baby spiders that are deployed when mama sends

out an egg and you will be set back to square one. 14. Be careful that you send all your Minions and not just the Browns. 15. When the queen gets down to roughly 25 percent health, she'll start hovering

around corners and munching on any Minion that stands on that button. 16. Position your other three minions, then move the flower to draw it out of the

corner.

17. When it's on the grate wall, quickly position your Minion on the final button. 18. Hit the switch to bring down the waterfall. 19. You will lose quite a few Minions, but you can replenish your losses at one of the

Minion gates. 20. Keep drawing Minions until the spider is dead. 21. With their matriarch dead, the spiders declare their allegiance to you. 22. NOTE: Your Greens can use the spiders as mounts in the same way that the

Browns can ride wolves. 23. Put the Greens on the spiders. 24. Sweep them up onto the web and to the first button. 25. The elevator will begin moving when you hit the button, but you don't want to

stop. 26. Keep them going through each button. 27. You'll have to do this three times, with two stops along the way for treasure. 28. Head up the stairs and step on the pressure switch to open a door leading to a

room full of chests with gold. 29. Head back downstairs. 30. Go toward the large staircase to find a tower gate. 31. Climb up another set of stairs. 32. Gind a blue mana idol. 33. Carry it back to the gate for a mana increase. 34. Head to the treasury at the end of the walkway to open more chests of gold. 35. Head out of the temple and through the room where you started toward the exit. 36. Get the Eradicator waiting at the end of the bridge from the temple. 37. He has his back to you... the perfect time to send in the Greens. 38. The first one will go down easily. 39. Sweep your Greens up to the ledge once again. 40. They'll pounce from above. 41. The Eradicator should go down in a hurry, and you can continue on your way

back to the main gate. 42. There is one last Eradicator patrolling near the main gate leading to Everlight

Town. 43. Have your Greens get him from behind, then send your spiders up all available

webs to grab the treasure. 44. Send your spider Minions up to the buttons on the gate and hit them, opening the

way to Everlight Town. 45. Send your Minions across the bridge and down toward the first enemy

checkpoint. 46. You will lose your spiders after passing through the gate, but will have more in no

time. 47. Pretty soon you'll encounter some archers, but they are easily dealt with by

sweeping your Minions up on the side path and pouncing from behind. 48. There are more archers, but they are deal with just as easily. 49. Replenish your losses from the Minion gates.

50. To deal with the formation guarding the narrow checkpoint up ahead, begin by setting up your Browns and Reds.

51. Send the Greens to the ledge, where they'll pounce. 52. All of your Minions should now be able to take care of the enemy formation.

o Approach to the Town

1. After dealing with the initial wave of soldiers, send your minions up the web on the right and have them take out the Centurion.

2. While your minions handle any additional stragglers, head up the stairs to the left and deal with the archers personally.

3. Gather up your minions and crash the formation near the gate. 4. With the Centurion gone, they should fall relatively quickly.

o Clearing Out the Town

1. Begin ransacking. There won't be much resistance. 2. Smash whatever you can. 3. Replenish your forces at the nearby Minion gates. 4. Continue to the possession stone around the corner. 5. Send one of your spider-riding Greens on it, and get your Minions dancing. 6. Head down the small path near the possession stone to the beach. 7. Continue looting and ransacking on your way. 8. Head north and west to the gate. 9. Open it and return to your body. 10. Enter the town and take a left. 11. Hypnotize a few fleeing resort-goers. 12. The soldiers will appear as you head up the stairs, but they're still disorganized

and easily defeated. 13. They're somewhat more formidable at the top of the steps, where there will be

tents for reinforcements. 14. Take them down. 15. Quickly send your Minions into the tents to knock them out. 16. You don't want any reinforcements interrupting your looting. 17. After you take out the tent, there will be a wheel nearby. 18. Spin it to open, then move toward it, clearing out any remaining tents and

soldiers before you do so. 19. When you go through it, you'll eventually come upon a Minion idol, bringing your

Horde count to 35. 20. Take the time to rebalance at the Minion gates to 15 Browns, 10 Reds and 10

Greens. 21. Continue your advance, dealing with any tents and soldiers that you see along

the way. 22. One more contingent awaits to the gates leading to the final area. 23. Smash through their formation, and you will encounter the governess.

24. Begin by knocking out the formation to the right, along with the tents and archers. 25. When your're finished, put your Minions on standby with a guard marker. 26. Have one Brown grab a barrel and bring it up behind the legions on the left. 27. The armies will be scattered, and you can pounce. 28. With the help of the explosives, the enemy formations should go down with

minimal losses. 29. With the enemy armies defeated, head up the steps to the governess, who will

sputter and beg for your mercy. 30. It's up to you whether you want to make her your slave, or simply make her head

explode. 31. That done, spend 50 Brown lifeforce points to take control of the town hall. 32. Accompany Juno back to the Netherworld as your second mistress.

The Nordberg Commune o Putting Down Dissension

1. NOTE: A Nordberg citizen requests an audience to announce that some citizens have left the town to live in a commune with some elves. Time to bring them back.

2. Return to Everlight Town. 3. Start destroying or subduing everyone in sight. 4. Gather treasure and goodies whereever you see it. 5. Explore every nook and cranny. 6. Take the Minion idol to up your horde to 35 if you have not yet done so. 7. Head down the path towards the commune. 8. Take a right to the thorny barrier. 9. Have your Reds take care of breaking down the barrier. 10. Continue down the path and break down another thorny barrier. 11. Spot the spear throwers on a ledge. 12. Head left to get up onto a bridge. 13. Have your Reds throw fireballs down at them. 14. Continue to the end of the bridge. 15. Break down the fire barrier. 16. You now have your first set of wolves. 17. Backtrack across the bridge. 18. Follow the trail down and under the bridge to the large, open area filled with

seals. 19. Kill the seals. 20. Continue onward. 21. Extinguish the flaming barrier by the hunter camp. 22. Kill the hunters and get more wolves. 23. Return to your starting point. 24. Send your wolves up the path to the left. 25. Have them turn the wheel. 26. Head down to the commune. 27. Decide if you want to destroy or dominate the peasants. 28. There is minimal resistance as you sweep through camp.

29. Make sure you knock out the igloos as you go. 30. Near the back of the camp is a priestess to take care of. 31. Put some Reds in the village and travel up to the ledge. 32. She'll bounce back and forth, and be trapped between your Minions. 33. When you're done wreaking havoc, grab the spell catalyst and head back to the

tower gate. 34. Search the camp for loot and treasures. 35. Return to the tower gate and teleport to Nordberg Town.

o Return to Nordberg Town

1. With the commune destroyed, this is the perfect time to finish dominating Nordberg if you haven't done so already.

2. Don't forget to send Minions to the nearby treasure chests to collect tributes. 3. Your Greens are able to break through the poison gates to the southwestern part

of town. 4. Kill or dominate them as you see fit. 5. Send some Minions to pick up the mana idol and take it to the tower gate. 6. Send other Minions to turn a wheel and open the locked gate. 7. TIP: If you opted to dominate Everlight, pay them a visit to continue subduing its

citizens and collect your tribute. 8. Return to the tower gate and head to the Netherworld.

o Mistresses

1. Check in on your two mistresses while you are back in the Netherworld. 2. Juno, the most recent mistress, is now the first Mistress. 3. You can switch Mistresses by visiting the antechamger off the side of the private

quarters. 4. Once you pick a first mistress, go to the decorations table in the private quarters. 5. Use gold to purchase items. 6. Once you have done so, the mistress you have purchased items for will want to

show her gratitude. 7. You also earn an achievement or trophy for having become that woman's special

friend.

o The Mysterious Lady

1. A mysterious woman appears while you are sitting on your throne. 2. She tells you of the Wastelands where the Tower of the former Overlord was

located. 3. It is an area of Magic and she urges you to go there. 4. You cannot fully explore the Wastelands until you have rescued the Blue Minions

as your other Minions will mutate if exposed to the pools of magic. 5. The mutation will force them to turn on you and attack.

6. However, it is worth a quick look. 7. Teleport to the Wastelands. 8. Follow the trail to the left, keeping a group of 10 Minions close. 9. Find the spell stone close to the tower gate. 10. Send your Minions to take it back to the tower gate. 11. This stone gives you the Minion spell, allowing you to create a Minion missile or

sacrifice a Minion to restore your health. In Search of the Blue Minions

NOTE: Now that Nordberg and Everlight are conquered, it is time to visit the Empire to find the Blue hive. Juno knows the Empire as well as its important male citizens and will help you.

o Empire Harbor

1. Gather a contingent of Minions: 15 Browns, 8 Reds, 12 Greens. 2. Head out down the pier. 3. Two guards will try to get in your way, but will go down quickly. 4. More worrisome are the soldiers who block the way out of the pier, and the

archers behind them. 5. The archers use fire arrows, which set your Minions on fire and make them

useless for a period of time while they dance around. 6. Do your best to shrug off the arrows. 7. Set your Greens up at the corner of the rise. 8. Put your Reds back at the entrance into the clearing. 9. Step forward. 10. The guards will charge, but immediately be set upon by the Greens. 11. Surround and finish them off, then quickly defeat the archers. 12. When you're done, go and break all the barrels in the corner to your right. 13. After clearing the first formation and running down a path, you will come upon a

fortress with its doors shut. 14. The guards will spot you, and promptly order the catapult to attack. 15. Get running, because one hit from those rocks has the potential to crush you and

your entire force. 16. Run toward the pile of boulders and wait for the "whoosh" of the boulder, then get

out of there. 17. The catapult will smash the obstruction for you and you will be able to continue. 18. Station your Minions behind a rocky outcrop and head onto the bridge yourself. 19. Try to lure the legion into the catapult's line of fire. 20. When they're all gone, call in your Minions and rush across the bridge to the next

outcrop. 21. Try to get the catapult to fire, then send your Minions to the wheel. If you're not

careful, they won't have time and they'll be smashed by a boulder. The timing is tricky regardless, so don't approach that wheel lightly. When the drawbridge is down, hurry across it.

22. You'll get a brief break after your flight from the catapult.

23. A Netherworld gate will appear, and you'll be able to replenish any Minions you might have lost under the weight of those boulders.

24. There's also a Minion idol tucked away on a side street, so don't forget to grab it and bring your army up to 40.

25. Increase your Brown count to 18, and your Red count to 10. 26. When you're ready, press onward. 27. Not long after exiting the former slave community, you'll find some soldiers taking

a bath in the river. 28. Station your Reds nearby and have them rain fire down upon them from afar. 29. Send your Minions into the tends to steal their uniforms. 30. Go to a possession stone nearby and take control of a uniformed Brown. 31. Time to turn the tables on the Imperials. 32. Continue to the bridge and turn the wheel to lower it. 33. Walk up to the front of the fortress, and you'll be able to enter without a problem. 34. Don't worry about the enemy soldiers. Just continue up to the catapult. 35. Your first targets will be the soldiers at the front gate. 36. Kill them, then turn your attention to the main gate to Empire City. 37. More legions will arrive, so smash them too. 38. Finally, destroy the boulder barrier to the west. 39. With the enemy in disarray, return to your body and loot the fortress. 40. Don't forget the forge stone. 41. Kill all the sheep nearby for lifeforce as well.

o Empire Heartland

1. With the gate to Empire Heartland thrown wide open, you can enter at your leisure.

2. With your horde at the ready, head in through the city gate and move on down the main road.

3. It won't be long before you see those familiar Red searchlights. 4. The Sentinels are back, and no amount of disguising will save you from their

magical eye. 5. You'll have to take care of them before you can proceed. 6. Since the Sentinels are watching the main road, it's up the side path instead. 7. You'll soon see a Sentinel, but sadly it's not the one you're looking for. 8. Kill it anyway, and keep going until you reach the possession stone. 9. Possess a Brown. 10. Head down the path on the left side to find more tents. 11. Head inside with your Browns and get changed. 12. Continue on your way. 13. You'll find yourself at a testing ground for an Imperial research subject. 14. The big guy will charge you, but you don't want to fight him. 15. Instead, make him charge the get instead, and follow him through. 16. With the gate open, quickly follow the beast and head up the road. 17. You may be attacked by soldiers, but fighting is not your main priority.

18. Keep to the right, and you'll eventually find the Sentinel guarding the main road. 19. Some soldiers will be waiting with a research subject. 20. This time, you'll want to make him charge right through the Sentinel tower. 21. Return to your body, and make your way to the nearest gate. 22. Make sure you're all set (full horde, good weapon), then set off to find the test

subject again. 23. He'll be where you left him, so take him down once and for all to get a dark

crystal. 24. That finished, your goal is a villa to the north. 25. Be careful that you don't go the opposite direction to the other building instead --

it's guarded by a catapult. 26. The Senator isn't happy that you've invaded his home. 27. He'll send a handful of guards, which you should be able to handle easily. 28. The door to the villa will be locked, but those glittering pillars aren't there for

nothing. 29. Send your Minions up and destroy them to make the entrance collapse. 30. Kill or dominate the senator as you see fit, then have your Minions pick up the

chair. 31. Walk on in, and you will be able to infiltrate Empire City.

o Empire Sewers

1. Welcome to the sewers of Empire City. 2. You'll start by some Minions gates, so fill out your horde and set out into the

muck. 3. You can run around looting a bit, but your goal is the small shack in the corner.

#Destroy it, and a wheel will be revealed. 4. You'll be able exit this area. 5. The next area will contain horrifying giant frogs. They are capable of devouring

your Minions whole, making them extremely dangerous foes. 6. Chances you'll lose at least a couple Minions no matter what you do, so just run

by them and turn the wheel as quickly as possible. 7. You'll enter another slum area, which makes for good looting opportunities, as

well as a chance to replenish your horde. 8. Head toward the river, where you'll see rafts passing through. 9. Standing on a nearby pressure switch will cause a gate to go up, putting a stop to

the rafts. 10. Rush the soldiers onboard, then use the raft as a bridge to the other side. 11. There's a Netherworld gate here, along with more Minion portals. 12. Keep going, and you'll soon come upon another raft. 13. The soldiers here are tough, so don't try the usual "pounce from behind trick," or

your Greens will die in a hurry. 14. Instead, try sweeping your entire horde in and taking them out. 15. You won't be able to go anywhere just yet, but you'll spot the Blue hive.

16. Time to go it alone. There's a wheel that can be turned just outside the entrance to the area with the hive.

17. When that's done, but your horde on standby and cross the stream to the gates. 18. There will be three guards just inside the entrance. They're very tough, so try to

engage them piecemeal. Don't be afraid to recharge at the Netherworld gate, in case you die and go back a few minutes.

19. Continue past the guards and hit the pressure switch. 20. Several containers will drop. 21. Then smash the container next to you. It's your first Blue! 22. Head back around to find several more containers full of Blues. 23. Break them open, then send them swimming under the tiny gate to break yet one

more container. 24. You now have enough Blues to turn the wheel behind the flood gate. 25. Have your Blues swim up to it and turn it together. 26. Continue through the gate that opens up, and you'll encounter two Eradicators. 27. Luckily, they're just guarding a belt that's across the way, with several jars

passing by up above. 28. You'll need to wait until the jar with the Blues is in the middle before you step on

the switch and release it. 29. When you have a total of eight Blues, hit the next switch and continue. 30. Put your Minions on standby, and draw six to turn the wheel that you see, which

will get the claw moving. 31. Stand on the switch that you see, and have it grab a Minion when it passes. 32. Drop the Minion through the gap. 33. If you need the claw to go left, call back your Minions on the wheel. 34. It takes some practice, but it mostly comes down to timing and patience. 35. With twelve Blues, you can now hit the next switch. 36. Several elite guards have shown up, and there's no way past. 37. The Blues are invisible and can pass through enemies when being swept. 38. Sweep them through the guards and hit the switch, then continue on right behind

them. 39. This part is a bit tougher. 40. You must keep your Blues moving, or they will be quickly discoveRed and killed. 41. Hit the first switch, and a host of jars will drop to release gnomes and fairies on

the unsuspecting guards. 42. Your Blues should still be moving, so hit the next switch and get them back to

you. #With the way now totally open, replenish any lost Blues from the jars that are situated in a nearby alcove, and head back to rescue the hive.

43. You're back in the main area now, so stop by the Netherworld gate and heal yourself.

44. You'll also notice a spell catalyst sitting on a shoreline across the way. 45. Send your Blues over there, and they'll retrieve it. 46. Grab the Blue hive. 47. Head back to where you saw the first time, and you'll see that it's being moved.

48. You'll need to kill the guards on the raft and take control of it yourself to give chase.

49. Put the Blues on back to steer. 50. At one point you'll be stopped by a guard who uses the same gate trick as

before. #Disembark, kill him, and keep on going. 51. Your ride comes to an end at the Imperial palace.

o The Imperial Palace

1. Head up the stairs and wallways, looting and pillaging as you go. 2. Unfortunately, it's a trap. 3. You'll be sentenced to fight in the arena games.

o The Empire Arena

1. Take the slaves for yourself. 2. Free your Minions. 3. Kill everything in sight. 4. Have your Minions kill the first soldiers you see and make them turn the wheel to

free the slaves. 5. Subdue them to join your horde. 6. Head out onto the battlefield and start freeing as many Minions as possible. 7. After you've rescued your Minions, you'll fight several waves of successively

more difficult foes. 8. The first round consists of slaves, which should be subdued to use as cannon

fodder for the next round. 9. For the next round, two unicorns attack, which is tougher. 10. They'll charge through your Minions, and cause some decent damage. 11. Put your Blues on standby, and they'll automatically use their other special ability:

resurrecting your Minions. 12. The test subject is back, and he wants to bring pain. 13. As before, he will charge at you, and swing around his sword. 14. He'll be stunned after charging, which is when you should attack. 15. Have your Blues on guard so they resurrect the dead. 16. Frustrated, the Imperials will send all four enemies at you at once. 17. At this point, you should do your best to hide behind any platforms or rises and

engage the enemy piecemeal, lest they overwhelm and kill you. 18. Snipe them with your Reds, and keep your Blues resurrecting them. 19. And then comes your old pal Yeti. 20. Yeti tosses explosive barrels, which have the potential to slaughter your Minions

in much the same way as the catapult. 21. You won't be able to hurt him, but you can make his attacks work for you. 22. Get him to toss a barrel in the direction of one of the wooden doors, and it will be

blown up. 23. Run in, and you'll be in the stands.

24. Finally, some chaos is at hands. 25. Don't let the audience bog you down though, because barrels are still coming,

and they will definitely kill you. 26. Keep moving, and destroy the pillars on either side of the stands. 27. There are more Minions up top if you need help. 28. With the collapse of the stands, the arena is in shambles. 29. The Yeti is busy cuddling a seal, so he won't notice your approach. 30. Feel free to kill him for his earlier treachery, or enslave him. 31. Grab up all the money that's lying around the arena, and don't forget the Blue

hive, sitting up where the ruined stands used to be. 32. A Netherworld gate will conveniently appear, and your job is finished.

The Wastelands o Magic Gone Wild

1. Select your horde. A good mix would be about 20 Blues, 10 Browns, 5 Reds and 5 Greens.

2. Head out from the Netherworld gate to the Wastelands, the location of the previous Overlord's Dark Tower.

3. NOTE: The Tower was destroyed, releasing magical energy into the area and turning it into a toxic magic dump that only your Blues can deal with.

4. Explore the cavern to the southeast with the spell catalyst. 5. Send your Greens in first to dispel the poison gas. 6. Head west to the area with flaming jets and the mana idol. 7. Send your Reds in first to deal with the flaming jets. 8. Loot the abandoned homes for gold. 9. Watch out for the blue ooze that will mutate any Minion that touches it except the

Blues. 10. If the blue ooze touches any other Minion, you will have to kill it. 11. Once finished explring, head to the river with the gate behind it. 12. Sweep your Blues through the area to clear it. 13. Follow them through quickly. 14. Open the gate and continue through it. 15. Proceed to the poor village and loot it. 16. When you are finished looting, station some Blues on the ooze. 17. Send your Reds ahead to turn the wheel. 18. Kill the slugs. 19. Enter an even poorer village inhabited by some zombies who can deal alot of

damage. 20. Have your Reds take care of the zombies from a distance. 21. Sweep out the magical ooze at the southern end of the village. 22. Turn the wheel to open another gate. 23. Head south for the health idol before continuing to the next area. 24. Have the Blues open the next gate. 25. Get on the floating platform once it crosses the ledge. 26. Slaughter the magical mutants.

27. Grab the third shard. 28. Replenish your forces at the Minion gates ahead. 29. Head into the next village with more zombies. 30. Send your Minions into the houses to stop the constant outpouring of zombies. 31. Break down the barricade to the west. 32. Enter the small alcove containing a shard, dark crystal and a minion idol. Your

maximum horde now stands at 45 minions. 33. Take your horde down the path to the west. 34. Meet up with some soldiers and an elf. 35. Listen to the elf who wants to discuss a proposition. 36. Follow him to Queen Fay. 37. She states that the Empire is your common enemy and the tower shards the key

to its defeat. Her proposition is to send an elf to guide you to finding the remainder of the shards.

38. Follow the elf back to the zombie village. 39. Head through the gate to the large lake of magical ooze. 40. Take out the giant magical slug on the way to the lake. 41. Find the tower gate and Minion portals. 42. Reform your horde, sending back all of your Browns and leaving only two Greens

and Reds. 43. Follow the elf and locate the shards. 44. NOTE: Greens and Reds will need to work with Blues to eliminate flame areas,

poison and goo. 45. TIP: Be careful when crossing the lake with your Minions so they do not mutate. 46. NOTE: You will need the Minions to grab the magical catalyst on the southern

shore of the lake. 47. Once you have eleven shards, the elf leads you down a path adjacent to the

tower gate. 48. Go through the gate he opens and locate the final shard, guarded by a giant slug. 49. Kill the slug. 50. Resurrect any dead Minions. 51. Grab the shard. 52. Make a break for the exit before the soldiers surround you. 53. If they block your path, use your Halo spell to send a shockwave and knock them

down. 54. Break down the barricade. 55. Replenish your troops. 56. Wait until the giant soldier is dazed from charging. 57. Send your Browns and Greens to attack while keeping your Blues on standby to

resurrect fallen Minions. 58. Turn the wheel once he is dead. 59. Proceed through the gate. 60. Take care of the remaining small groups of soldiers on the way to the sanctuary. 61. Follow the path straight down. 62. Kill anything that gets in your way.

o The Wastelands Sanctuary

1. Return to the elven sanctuary. 2. Follow the path in the elven sanctuary to Queen Fay. 3. Send some Minions to take the Tower Heart from Queen Fay. 4. NOTE: The Tower Heart is your weapon against the Empire, but needs to be

recharged at four different shrines. 5. Have the Minions carry the Heart to the elevator. 6. Stop by the Minion gates for reinforcements. 7. Loot the large area to the south. 8. Continue to the elevator and descent to the depths of the sanctuary.

o The Sanctuary Depths

1. Head east with the Tower Heart to the first shrine. 2. Face the shrine. 3. Hold down the Magic button to begin transferring energy from the shrine to the

Heart. 4. Once the shrine is drained, the wooden platform collapses and you land on the

ground. 5. Head south for the spell catalyst. 6. Send Minions to carry it. 7. Head east on the path and then north to the tower gate. 8. Gnomes take hold of the orb. 9. Put all your minions near the center nest and remove the orb. 10. Send a few blues to grab the statue nearby. 11. TIP: Watch out for exploding gnomes. 12. Cover the hole with the statue, then continue on your way. 13. Head to the second shrine near the gnome nest. 14. Charge it up. 15. This time it collapses into a pack of salamanders. 16. Sweep your Minions up to them and attack. 17. Head up to find some elves carrying away the Tower Heart on the elevator. 18. Put five Minions on each pressure switch to retrieve the elves. 19. Kill them and ride the elevator to the next shrine. 20. Charge again. 21. The platform collapses about the time the Salamander King arrives. 22. He eats the Tower Heart and begins to roll on the half-pipe you landed on. 23. Find the nearby steps exit quickly. 24. Head up the path to the small pond. 25. The salamander king rolls into the pond and will be stunned. 26. Put your horde on standby and attack a few times. 27. Follow the king to an area with two pressure switches. 28. Hit one switch.

29. Send another Minion across the bridge, down and around the ramp and up to the second swtich.

30. This raises both bridges and allows you to continue. 31. Cross both bridges to another bridge. 32. Hit the switch to continue. 33. The salamander king will hit another body of water, and you have the chance to

attack. 34. Continue onward after he escapes to the Netherworld gate. 35. Use the chance to replenish your horde. 36. Catch sight of the salamander king jumping onto another half-pipe. 37. Keep your horde out of the way for the most part and attack him. 38. Send a few blues down to attack the bridge supports. 39. The bridge collapses and sends the salamander king headlong into the water.

#Shatter the king's skull and take the orb back. 40. Some salamanders are now waiting nearby ready to do your bidding. These

provide mounts for your Reds. 41. Sweep them into half-pipes to rain fire on any soldiers. 42. Continue on your way to the final shrine. 43. Charge the orb and the platform collapses. 44. Backtrack to the entry with the Heart in tow. 45. Kill the archers and anyone else you encounter.#Return to the elevator and take

it back up to the sanctuary town.

o Sanctuary Town

1. Arrive back in the sanctuary to find it in flames. 2. The Empire has gotten in and their troops have taken over. 3. Loot whatever is available. 4. Follow the walkway to the west in search of Queen Fay. 5. Encounter two statues. 6. Push them over to knock the soldiers into the abyss. 7. Leave quickly before the archers get to you. 8. Continue fighting soldiers as you make your way to Queen Fay. 9. Put your horde on standby and let them perform their designated roles. 10. Head up the long winding stairs near the large statue of Queen Fay. 11. Get the dark crystal on the platform at the top. 12. Continue to the Queen with the Tower Heart. 13. Queen Fay tells you that she still needs to add her lifeforce to the Heart. 14. Place your Minions on standby and start draining. 15. Your Minions will hold off the elves. 16. Chase the fairies as they try to spirit the queen away. 17. Take down the Dryads. 18. Knock out the bulb in the middle. 19. Find Fay again. 20. Put up the guard marker to fight the elves.

21. The fairies intervene one last time in a clearing just ahead. 22. Take out the unicorns, then return to draining the queen. 23. The fairies sweep the Queen away to where you first encountered her. 24. Prepare for one last elf assault. 25. Finish the job. 26. Once her energy is gone, she will turn evil and can join you as another mistress. 27. Either overcharge her to kill her or let her go. 28. NOTE: If you kill her, her ghost will remain as your mistress. 29. Return to the Netherworld. 30. Choose between Kelda, Juno and Fay for the role of first mistress. 31. To prepare for the final battle, Kelda will offer wolves as support, while Fay brings

salamanders and Juno provides spiders. Rebellion in Everlight

o THe Elf Village

1. NOTE: One of your loyal citizens brings word of an Everlight elven rebellion. 2. Return to Everlight Town. 3. Assemble your horde. Since you are fighting elves, bring mostly Browns and

Reds. 4. Send your Minions to the treasure chests by the tower gate to gather the tribute

from your slaves. 5. Add the gold to your coffers. 6. Lead the horde downstairs to the west. 7. Have your Minions kill the elves. 8. Manuever through the central walkways. 9. Head west and then north to the central tower gate. 10. Send a few Reds to ignite the barrels at the barricade. 11. Retreat while they explode. 12. Head upstairs to the north. 13. Have your Reds ignite some more barrels behind the barricade to the east. 14. Enter the elf village. 15. Lead your horde through the gate to the east. 16. Head north. 17. Send your Greens to mount the spiders. 18. Loot the area where the spiders were for gold. 19. Follow the bamboo walkway northwest. 20. At the end of the path, there are elves on platforms throwing poison grenades. 21. Send Browns out to knock down the platform. 22. Have the rest of your Minions on a guard marker. 23. The Blues will resurrect Minions while the Reds throw fireballs. 24. Move your horde out of the way when the elves sthrow timed bombs. 25. Select one Brown. 26. Hold down the Target button to target a bomb. 27. Press and hold the Send button to have the Minion pikc up the bomb. 28. Sweep him to the boulder barricade in the south.

29. Release the Send button for him to drop the bomb and return to you. 30. Place your Minions into a guard marker. 31. Sweep it ahead of you. 32. Head south then west and destroy more platforms. 33. Once the platforms are destroyed, use a Minion to pick up bombs again. 34. Blast your way through another boulder barricade. 35. TIP: Watch out for the elves who are not attacking. If you are in for the

destruction, kill them. Otherwise, subdue them. Take care of this early so your Minions will know whether to attack.

o Finishing up in Nordberg

1. Return to Nordberg Town with 15 Blues to retrieve articles you could not get before.

2. Head northeast from the town hall tower gate to go to the dock. 3. Send Blues to push the raft and take control of it. 4. Guid the raft to the eastern dock. 5. Disembark. 6. Follow the path to the north for some loot, gnomes and a health idol. 7. Send Minions to pick up the idol and carry it back to the raft. 8. Take the raft to the western dock. 9. Pull off your Minions. 10. Open the gates to the north and south by having your Minions turn wheels. 11. Kill or subdue the villagers and loot their homes.

o Return Trips

1. Return to the tower gate. 2. Make sure you have some Blues with you. 3. Teleport to the second tower gate at the Everlight Reef. 4. Send some Blues out to get the container out in the water with the dark crystal. 5. TIP: It is on the southwestern corner of the center island. 6. Return to the tower gate. 7. Teleport to the Empire sewers. 8. Head south of the tower gate. 9. Send some Blues to get the spell catalyst in the middle of the water. 10. Have the Blues carry it back to the Tower Heart. 11. Get some Greens at the Minion gates. 12. TIP: Shoot for a total of 20 Minions. 13. Enter the dungeon. 14. Head all the way along the walkways to the east to the giant claw. 15. Set 20 Minions on the pressure switch to open the gate leading to the two

eradicators. 16. Select your Greens. 17. Sweep them in to kill each eradicator.

18. Send your Minions to the end of the narrow corridor to find some loot, including one more dark crystal.

19. TIP: Don't forget your quest to kill the thousand gnomes whiel you get as many crystals and gold as possible to forge weapons and armor. You need to be prepared for your fight against the Empire. Spend more gold to upgrade your Minions and resurrect the strong ones too.

Assault on the Empire o NOTE: The Empire is taking over all of the lands with the Netherworld as their

next target. Empire City is protected by an anti-magic barrier. Get through the barrier with your Minions to take control.

1. Before leaving the Tower, you must decide who will be your first mistress. If Kelda, she will summon wolves for your Browns who are great for breaking up legions in formation. Juno provides spiders for your Greens who are good at ambushing and hitting enemies from behind. Fay offers salamanders for your Reds who also give you a rolling ranged attack as you sweep them around enemies.

2. TIP: Select Kelda if you want to stick with one kind of mount. Spiders won't be of much help in battle and salamanders require too much supervision.

o Empire Hills

1. Summon your horde. You can use a maximum of 20 mounts, 5 Blues, 10 Browns, 10 Greens and 10 Reds.

2. NOTE: You can recharge magic in this stage by using Evil Presence near the Tower Heart.

3. Upgrade all of your spelles. 4. Send the Bules to carry the Tower Heart. 5. NOTE: The nine catalysts are enough to put all your spells at level 4. 6. NOTE: The most handy spells are Halo since it enhances the Minions' attacks

and defenses, and Minion (healing or Minion missile). 7. Take the first hill by killing the formations blocking the path of the Tower Heart. 8. Use a combination of Red Minions and Brown Mounted Minions sack their

formations. 9. Blue Minions can help Reduce losses, but don't put in more than 6 to 8 of them

or they sap your fighting power. 10. Boost the Minions with the halo spell. 11. Destroy everything. 12. NOTE: The catapult activates on the hill once the Tower Heart is there. 13. Use the catapult to kill the formations before they reach your position. 14. Use the rocks to smash the cottage to the left to kill the archer spawn point. 15. Once the first line is done, go to the second hill. 16. Take the horde quickly to the clearing with the bombers and swarm them all. 17. Go up the city steps and use a mix of Minions to assassinate the leader. 18. Take out the formation. 19. The citizens can be dominated for more help, or killed to increase frame rate.

20. Roll quickly to the tents near the second hill and take them down. 21. This will pretty much free up the second hill. 22. Take the tower heart and use the catapult. 23. Use the catapult to smash the two barricades of archers. 24. Panic them quickly because you need to smash three siege towers before they

reach your walls. 25. While your Minions are able to deal with one siege tower, they will be hard

pressed to kill two towers' worth of soldiers. 26. Connect three rocks to the siege towers and a tower will break. 27. Deal with the three tower, then use the catapult to smash the guard towers with

the fire archers north of the second catapult. 28. You can kill the three archers who assassinate your Minions past the grassy

field. 29. Get rid of the formation that blocks your way to the next area and move on. 30. Get by the aqueduct by having wolf riders come with you to the barricade. 31. Break the barricade on the stairs and sweep your Minions to clean up the mess. 32. Take the last tower object in the game and the second to the last dark crystal. 33. Take the tower heard to the side of the fortress on the hill and do it quickly, as

the catapults from the city walls will fire on you. 34. Once you get to the relative safety of the back door of the fort, use a Minion to

pick up a bomb plant and blow the door open. 35. Raid the fortress and take the catapult. 36. Once the tower heart smashes the shield, kill the formations you see coming out

of the city. 37. Consider placing your Minions near the front gate to you can choke point the

suicide bombers (last wave) and let your catapult work its magic. 38. When Marius appears with the two Gargantuans, don't attack. 39. Go back to the fortress and use the catapult to make your job easier. 40. Once both giants are dead, head into the city.

o Into the City

1. Only the last dark crystal is on this map. 2. Gollow the Blue dots to the temples. 3. Since there is wreckage by the road, head west and track the nearest temple. 4. Wreck and enjoy the carnage. 5. It should let you back on the main road where there is a gate. 6. Use the gate to replenish supplies and to take the bomb plant to clear the

southern roadblock on the main avenue. 7. Meet the Empress on the way to the second temple, and destroy the temple. 8. Run from the enemies here, or slay them. 9. Wreck the Red house to go to the eastern zone of the city. 10. Head north to the next temple. 11. The gate blocking the path to the third temple is occasionally messed up.

12. If the bombers don't throw a bomb on the middle of the stairs, you won't have enough time to carry the bomb to blow the door.

13. Play with the enemies a little to get the right bomb in the right place otherwise, you might need to teleport to another area and then come back to do it again.

14. The third temple is past the gate you blow up. 15. Ignore the citizens and make for the shrine quickly. 16. The longer it stays around the more citizens can turn into zombies. 17. After the last shrine is destroyed, head for the palace.

o Going After the Emperor (192)

1. There is only one more tower gate once you enter the palace. 2. This is your last chance to upgrade your Minions and forge new weapons and

armor. 3. Return to Nordberg and Everlight if you need more gold. 4. Get the Infernal Commander helmet if you can. This maximizes your Minion

count to 50. 5. The Infernal Armor also provides much more protection. 6. This area has no items and you cannot come back to after the game is done. 7. It's part of the palace you may have explored before, but it won't matter. 8. Get a large horde together. 9. Head to the main palace gate once you are ready and fight the elite soldiers in

the palace until you find Solarius in the magic containment room.

o The Finale

1. With Solarius going on a rampage, take a mix of Minions and have Red or Green Minions attack the blisters on the boss' back and head.

2. This should drive it off. 3. Note the sludge it leaves will create Minion-demons and zombies if citizens die in

it. 4. The second encounter with the devourer is harder than the first because of the

bombers and fire archers just beyond your camera's vision. 5. Take your Minions to the edges of the arena to spot the archers. 6. If there are no enemies, then keep moving until you find some. 7. The last few archers are almost always the ones on a ledge that only Minions

can get to. 8. Move your horde up the bridge and sweep the ledge clean. 9. With the archers and bombers all dead, leave your Minions on a banner and go

back to the first room to get reinforcements. 10. Bring them to the banner so they can fire or backstab the boss' blisters. 11. This will cause it to move to the final area. 12. Separate some Minions for the third and final encounter with the Devourer. 13. Place the Red Minions so they can attack the head of the boss.

14. Keep some Blue Minions with you to prevent magic goop from splashing on the Overlord.

15. Site the Green Minions to attack the sides and back of the boss. 16. Use the Overlord to guard the Green Minions from Minion demons and zombies. 17. Some Blues near the Green's banner might help them avoid the magic goop. 18. The boss is defeated by using Evil Presence on Solarius when he is spat out by

the Devourer. 19. Target Solarius and drain his life with Evil Presence. 20. When he dies, the game ends and you can visit most previous areas to finish

exploring.
