LABORERS TOGETHER WITH GOD “For we are laborers together with God” – I COR.3:9

Here the Apostle gives us, His people, a very strong word of challenge, instruc-tion and encouragement. Consider each word of this text: WE - Our Lord is in the process of building the Kingdom of God on earth. Miracle of miracles, He is pleased to call sinners, saved by grace, equipped to serve and empow-ered by His Spirit to be His people and used by Him to accomplish this goal. What’s Going on in Our Churches John 9:4 (KJV) I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. Your life has eternal significance. And it

will impact the eternal destiny of other people, so it's more important than any job, achievement, or goal you will reach during your life on earth. The consequences of your mission will last forever; the consequences of your job will not. Nothing else you do will ever matter as much as helping people establish an eternal relationship with God. This is why you must be urgent about completing your mission. Jesus said, "All of us must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent me, be-cause there is little time left before the night falls and all work comes to an end." (John 9:4 NLT) The clock is ticking down on your life mission, so don't delay another day. Get started on your mission of reaching out to others now! We will have all of eternity to celebrate with those we have brought to Jesus, but we only have our lifetime in which to reach them. This does not mean you should quit your job to be-come a full-time evangelist. God wants you to share the Good News where you are. As a student, mother, preschool teacher, salesman, or manager or whatever you do, you should continually look for people God places in your path with whom you can share the gos-pel. As we look back over this past year, have we been the witness God's called us to be? Time is short, wit-ness to someone this week. May God give you and yours a prosperous new year as you win souls to Christ. God Bless, Bro. Anthony

Disaster Relief Feeding Unit The Disaster Relief Feeding Unit is prepared once more for the time when we may be called out. We have our convection oven returned from the use at the Oklahoma City jail. Hurricane season is at an end but disasters do not depend upon hurricanes alone. We have had ice storms to contend with during the first quarter in the last couple years, and this winter may be harsh in the next few months. There are, of course, many other forms of disaster. Terrorism has become a potential one that hangs over us all the time. We pray that we never have to respond to that type but we are prepared. We will have another training session coming up in March of 2011. Please seek the Lord’s guidance about joining the Feeding Unit. You must be a trained volunteer in order to go to disaster sites with the team. Hurricane Katrina inspired many to volunteer, but the disaster had already happened. Please don’t wait until there is a very real need for your help before volunteering. Volunteer now, be trained and ready when it happens. God bless you. Upcoming Senior Events

The Bryan Baptist Association would like to an-

nounce that the “Cooperating Churches Under

God” Vol. II is now available at the BBA office for

$15 each. This is a wonderful addition to the Vol. I

but also stands on it’s own as the history of our

whole association from 1976 - now. This is not so

much to document what we have done, but to

trace the hand of God, Himself, as the Husbandman

overseeing His vineyard. Please stop by the office

and get your copy. This would make a very special

Christmas gift!
