The following activities have been conducted by NSS, RED CROSS, RED RIBBON CLUB &
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CELL in the college during the year 2019-20:

13. From 14.2.2020 to 20.2.2020 one-week NSS annual Special camp at Bychapura village.
About the program:
1. On 8.8.2019 Jal Shakthi Abhiyan was conducted in association with District
Magistrate, Bangalore Rural District & Bangalore Central University NSS Unit. Its aim
was to make realize the importance of saving water. Value of water was also
essentially explained the students and people. About 2500 students were
participated from various colleges from Bangalore urban and Rural districts. From
our college about 500 students have participated in the program. Each volunteer
was issued a certificate of appreciation by the District Magistrate.
2. On 14.8.2019 Swachh Bharath Abhiyan was conducted to bring awareness about
cleaning our surrounding places. A street play was held in the chowk about benefits
of cleanliness and dangers of unclean surroundings. Also displayed placards and
slogans were announced loudly.
Awareness was also created about the waste segregation—wet waste and dry waste
Requested the people to avoid use of plastic and go green concept was advised
through paper bags, cloth bags, etc.
3. On 20.8.2019 Competitive exam training was also provided the students of our
college. IPS Ravi sir was the Chief Guest. Guidance on How to prepare for IAS,KAS,
IPS, etc was discussed. It was conducted in association with YES UPSC Institute of
Civil Service, Bangalore.
4. On 23.8.2019 Gender Sensitization program was conducted in association with JCI
Devanahalli.
5. On 13.9.2019 one day police training program was conducted in the college in
esteemed presence of IPS officer Mr. Ravi D. channanavar
6. On 26.9.2019 Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was conducted to help the needy in
association with Lions Club, Devanahalli. About 110 units of donated blood were
collected in the camp.
7. On 2.10.2019 Gandhi Jayanthi program was organized with special shramadana with
70 volunteers
8. On 11.10.2019 Drug abuse and Misuse of mobile phones awareness program was
conducted to prevent our students and their friends and relatives against the
dangers of drugs and wrong use of mobile phones.
9. On 12.1.2020 National Youth Day Program (Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi Program).
Swami Poornananda of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashrama, Chikkaballapura was
the guest speaker. Teachings of Vivekananda and Role of Youth in nation building
was discussed
10. On 17.1.2020 Traffic Awareness Program was conducted in association with
Devanahalli Traffic Police. Various Rules & Regulations of Traffic were explained and
also the punishment for violating such rules was importantly discussed. It was also
told that these rules are made for the safety of people and not to harass or not to
collect fine. At the end of the program an Oath was prescribed to obey the Rules.
Safety first – thrill next. Was the slogan. About 200 students were participated in the
program.
11. Our 26 volunteers have participated in different groups in National Integration
camps organized by National Youth Project (NYP) New Delhi. Camps were organized
at Odisha (27.8.2019 to 9.9.2019) New Delhi (11.9.2019 to 17.9.2019) Gorakhpur UP
and Lumbini Nepal (14.10.2019 to 26.10.2019) and Haryana (3.2.2020 to 8.2.2020)
12. On 12.2.2020 Aids awareness program was conducted by Red Ribbon Club in
association with NSS and Taluk Health Centre, Devanahalli. PPT was used in the
program. Various aspects of Aids, plight of Aids Victims, Rehabilitation available
from the Govt for aids victims etc. were discussed in the program. About 150
students were participated in the program. Essay writing competition was also
conducted on the topic on Aids.
13. Free saplings were distributed to the people of Bychapura village in association with
Anneshwara Gram Panchayat during NSS camp. It was conducted to increase green
in and around the village. Also told people not to CUT TREES IN THE NAME OF
DEVELOPMENT rather PLANT TREES. GREEN IS LIFE AND LIFE IS GREEN. TREES GIVES
US OXYGEN. PROTECT TREES. About 100 students were participated in the program.
