A 90 year old client of THE LAW OFFICES OF JUSTIN G. MORGAN, P.A. was in a store shopping, with her nurses’ aide, when an employee restocking the store ran into her, causing her to fall down. The client had complaints of neck and back pain, and bruising which did not go away. The client had two prior attorneys on the case that could not get any settlement offer from the store. The client then proceeded without an attorney for a few months, and attempted to negotiate a settlement by herself. The store denied her claim.

Attorney Justin G. Morgan was the third attorney retained on the 90 year old woman’s case. The client was elderly and in failing health. He attempted a pre-lawsuit settlement demand and the claim was denied. A lawsuit was immediately filed on behalf of his client, and Attorney Morgan requested a speedy trial date under a Florida law that allows elderly litigants to get a trial date quickly. The Defendant store opposed the speedy trial date, and over the objection of the Defendant’s attorney, the Judge granted a speedy trial date. Less than six months after THE LAW OFFICES OF JUSTIN G. MORGAN, P.A. was retained and a few weeks before trial was scheduled, the case settled at mediation for $130,000.00.
