Chemetal #380 Weathered Steel

Chemetal created custom panels from an R&D product for the Herve Leger runway show at NY Fashion Week. These panels were the genesis for Chemetal #380, Weathered Steel, an authentic rusted steel pattern. Chemetal now offers several “steel” or “Cor-Ten” looks, including #381 Aged Aluminum (with a more linear appearance), plus new #600 Weathered Aluminum, and #601 Deep Bronze Aluminum, a darker bronze look.

Chemetal #791 Brushed Aluminum is a value-priced HPL metal laminate. Here it’s used extensively in a large trade show booth.

Metal that handles a curve this well is usually attached to a sportscar. Most Chemetal designs can be gently wrapped around curves, other solid metal designs can be bent and formed to 90 degree angles. Either way, metal is a great accent with wood. While a sheet of Chemetal won’t easily fit into your curbside recycling container, many Chemetal finishes are made entirely of aluminum, the most recycled material on the planet. Also, Chemetal is not petroleum-based, unlike many plastics, resins and other commercial interior products. Plus, some of our aluminum finishes contain up to 85% recycled content, which contributes to LEED MR Credits 4.1 and 4.2.
