About MYT

The Meet Your Translator Night (MYT Night) will be the kickoff to an event series in different formats. At these events, freelance translators and interpreters will meet potenFal clients. This first Fme in an exclusive and pleasant ambience. The purpose is to network and exchange experiences and quesFons about GILT (GlobalizaFon, InternaFonalizaFon, LocalizaFon, TranslaFon).

It is our goal to enable the two sides to engage in dialog and learn more about each other, thus making the process of selling and buying translaFons more transparent.

Ideally, these talks will lead to cooperaFon among the parFcipants! The focus however lies on know-‐how transfer and geQng to know the other side of the value chain.

The MYT Night Concept The 1st MYT Night in Berlin will include a rotaFng dinner with a gourmet menu served in six courses. There will be four people siQng at each table, one being a business representaFve (i.e. the typical direct client) and the others being translators / interpreters.

ATer every course, the business representaFve will move on to the next table in order to talk to as many translators / interpreters as possible. The translators and interpreters in turn get to talk to and learn more about interacFng and making business with direct clients.


Covering the Costs The Fcket for parFcipaFng translators / interpreters will be 29 €. The business representaFves are invited by MYT.

The Fcket fee will cover the costs for: • AperiFf • Menu • Drinks • Name badges

• Event organizaFon and promoFon
