Around 1 in 5 children have a severe mental health disorder, and nearly 80% of children with mental health disorders do not receive mental health care. If you recognize any of the warning signs in your child, do not be afraid to seek help: Feelings of sadness and hopelessness that do not go away Sudden changes in school work and grades Anxiety and worry, inability to concentrate Unable to overcome the loss of a loved one Anger, crying, overreacting to everyday things Injuring animals Damaging the property of others Setting fires Suicidal thoughts Hearing unexplained voices Spending time alone, avoiding family and friends

Eliminating the stigma of mental illness is the primary goal for NAMI Gulf
