What a difference a year makes!A message from your Board President

By Jim Carter, Ph.D., Foundation Board President

A year ago, we were in lock-down. The Community Center and all court sports were closed; the annual meeting consisted of just the Board, candidates and observers; proxies were dropped off at the Commu-nity Center, and the meeting was videotaped.

Soon after, I introduced Paul Maddry to Zoom, and he con-tinued to upgrade the process throughout the year to where, today, the board members all have monitors for each meet-ing, for a smooth and uniform telecast to reach all members. While we are not back to “nor-mal,” we have come a long way.

COVID-19 vaccines are becoming more plentiful and it’s

easier to schedule an appoint-ment. Recently, we were able to work out a schedule with the Florida Department of Health - Collier County for residents to schedule appointments at the North Collier Regional Park.

The new Board will continue to review COVID-19 rules and

adjust them accordingly. We all need to keep in mind what we have learned from this pan-demic. Personal hygiene and taking precautions in crowds need to be followed. There are no magic bullets.

Incoming BoardCongratulations to our incom-ing new board members — Steve Berke, Margaret Caccia and Patricia Koepke. By now, you will know the new officers for 2021. I know they, along with all Board members, will work hard for the residents o f P e l i c a n Marsh.

Jerry Carbone, who retired from the Board, will still

serve as Treasurer. Our bylaws allow us to fill that position with a non-Board member. He is a community historian and will serve us well.

My last yearI am now in my last year on the Board. I will never forget 2020 and all the challenges we faced. I hope this year will be one of recovery. It has been a very rewarding and chal-

lenging experience. A s W i n s t o n Churchill said,

“The further y o u l o o k backward, the better you can see forward.”

IMPROVE YOUR BONE DENSITY WITHOUT THE GYM OR MEDICATION

A season to rememberBy Paul Maddry, General Manager

It is hard to believe s e a s o n i s a l m o s t over. This past sea-son was certainly one for the ages, with all the COVID-19 chal-lenges put before us. Hopefully, the virus will be in our rearview mirror by the end of summer so we can get back to normal activi-ties and operations for next season.

Special members’ meeting

This month, on April 8, there will be a special members’ meeting to tally the votes and see if membership approves the funding needed to construct a facility for providing food & beverage service at the Com-munity Center.

If you have not yet voted, please call the administration office to get a proxy vote before the April 8th meeting, as every member has a vested interest in Pelican Marsh’s future.

If membership approves the project, it will be a very busy summer with construction of the outdoor dining patio and bar happening in the courtyard adjacent to the Community Center building.

Our goal would be to have the food & beverage operation ready to go by Jan. 1, 2022 — just in time for season!

Fitness Center protocol Expanding the hours to the Fitness Center has worked out

well. So far, 202 members have taken advantage of the ability to access the gym as early as 5 a.m. and as late as 10 p.m. daily.

However, for the safety and security of everyone, each member must access the gym only through their assigned member key fob. It is not per-missible to loan out your fob or allow access for others with your fob. Security cameras and door logs to the gym are regularly checked. Any member found allowing access to others through their member key fob will have their self-access privi-leges to the gym suspended.

All members are expected to self-govern themselves and fol-low all the rules and regulations, including wearing a mask while using the gym.

Update your email addressKeep updated and informed about what’s happening in Peli-can Marsh. Make sure we have your updated email address

and that you have registered on the Pelican Marsh website, www.pelicanmarsh.com.

HousekeepingFor those of you getting ready to head back north, please make sure all necessary clean-ing and maintenance has been completed on your home. It’s also a good idea to shut off the water to your home and prevent unforeseen water pipe and other plumbing failures that could cause major damage.

Please consult with your property manager if you have any questions on this process.

The staff really appreciates everyone’s help and support over this past season. Please remember that we are here to help and always open for com-ments and suggestions of how to serve you better.

If you are leaving us until next season, travel safe and have a great summer.

Tennis and pickleball courts especially popular this seasonA Message from your Director of Court Sports

By Johann Saurbier, Director of Court Sports

We are in the middle of our busiest season ever. Tennis is experiencing a resurgence and pickleball continues to grow at a fast pace. There are many days when all our courts are at or near full capacity from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.

I love to see the activity at night when all the courts, including the bocce courts, are all lit up. I appreciate the hard work and dedication of my staff. We are here to serve you!

I would like to take this oppor-tunity to remind everyone to continue to be respectful and courteous to one another, espe-cially during the court turn-over times at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Please make sure you finish a few minutes early, so that

the incoming players may start on time.

Additionally, let’s continue to observe CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 until our entire community is immu-nized. We look forward to that time so we may resume our social events.

Even though our courts are very busy, there are still many opportunities to get involved in both tennis and pickleball. If you need extra practice time, we now have two ball machines — one for tennis and one for pickleball. They are great prac-tice partners, they never miss, and they do not talk to you! Both have the technology to hit a wide variety of shots, so you can practice many facets of each game.

If you need the practice and some instruction, Victor and I are here to help.

Thank you all for your patience this season. I am excited about the future here at Pelican Marsh.

You all make this a great community!

The pickleball serveBy Johann Saurbier, Director of Court Sports

I am frequently asked about the rules for serving in pickle-ball. This excerpt from “USA Pickleball: Basic Rules Sum-mary” summarizes the rules regarding the serve in the game of pickleball.

The serve• The server’s arm must be

moving in an upward arc when the ball is struck.

• Paddle contact with the ball must not be made above the waist level.

• The head of the paddle must not be above the highest part of the wrist at contact.

• A ‘drop serve’ is also permit-ted, in which case, none of the elements above apply.

• At the time the ball is struck, the server’s feet may not touch the court or outside the imaginary extension of the sideline or centerline and at least one foot must be behind the baseline on the playing

surface or the ground behind the baseline.

• The serve is made diagonally crosscourt and must land within the confines of the opposite diagonal court.

• Only one serve attempt is allowed per server.

Cardio Spin classes for your healthBy Patrick D. Webb, CPT, MBA, Fitness Director

What is often referred to as group indoor cycling, station-ary cycling or cardio spin, is a workout that is thought to be, by many, one of the most effective classes to partici- pate in.

Here a t Pel ican Marsh, the classes are held outside on the back patio for a safe, fun experience.

When compared to other forms of cardiovascular exer-cise, such as kickboxing, run-ning or aerobics, cycling is often the most preferred.

A few key stationary cycling benefits include:

• You are always in control of the resistance level.

• Does not require you to learn any techniques to master

• I s no t as s t ress fu l on your ankles, knees and hips as running

• Many say they have more fun with indoor cycling than any other exercise.

Additional specific station-ary cycling benefits include the following:

Fat-burning workoutNumerous studies have been

conducted on the benefits of stationary cycling. One study concluded that cyclists, on aver-age, were able to get their heart rate up to 80% of their maxi-mum heart rate several times throughout the workout. This contributes to a fat burn during

Builds leg strengthThe hamstrings, quadriceps and glutes are the largest muscle groups in the body and cycling uses them all. By doing so, you can increase blood flow to these muscles while strengthening your calf muscles and overall leg strength.

Improves cardiovascular system

Cycling on a regular basis will increase blood flow in your entire body, improving the efficiency of your cardio- vascular system.

Relieves stressAfter a long day at work or school, participating in an indoor cycling class will help relieve tension and stress expe-rienced throughout the day.

Will I get big quads from indoor cycling?

Your muscle size is a matter of genetics; it is sourced from your parents, not your cycling class.

Will I get sore from indoor cycling?

Soreness and muscle ache in the quadriceps, lower legs and pel-vis are common after your first indoor cycling classes, but will diminish if you keep cycling two to three times a week.

Four tips for getting started

To help you ease into the indoor cycling experience, remember the following tips:

1) Come prepared. Wear comfortable clothes, including padded bike shorts and low- top shoes with stiff midsoles (cross trainers or cycling shoes). Bring plenty of water and a towel.

2) Take control of the ride. Don’t come out of the gate too fast. This is the most com-mon mistake beginners make. Pace yourself!

3) Talk to your indoor cycling instructor. Describe your fit-ness history, goals and injuries. Ask about proper posture and learn how to adjust resistance and speed. Make sure your seat height and angle are correct.

4) Make a commitment. Do not let initial discomfort scare you off. Try this activity for several weeks, rather than giv-ing up too soon. Indoor cycling may provide just the boost your fitness program needs--so get on your bike and ride!

Presently, Cardio Spin is offered weekly on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Satur-day, 7:45 a.m., at the Pelican Marsh Community Center. Call the front desk for more information.

ACTIVITIES & EVENTS

A season to remember — or forgetBy Lynn (Albert) Atzingen, Director of Activities

To say it was a different kind of season at Pelican Marsh is probably an understatement. No parties. No dancing. No dinners. No trivia. No community coffee. We missed a lot of things!

Instead, we got this: keep your distance, don’t crowd, wear masks, don’t hug, no handshakes. And, by the way, the Community Center is (mostly) closed.

It’s easy to have a one-person pity party during times like these, but that’s no fun either. So, my goal for this season has been to find other ways for you to have fun, stay connected and be safe and healthy.

And how lucky are we to be living in Florida, where the sun shines most days? On average, there are 264 sunny days per year in Naples. That alone can make for a good season, because

even if we’re quarantining, at least we can get outside!

That said, this season has con-sisted of a lot of outdoor activi-ties. Hikes, walks, bike trips and kayaking. We are fortunate to live in an area so rich in nature, culture and history.

On our Marco Island bicy-cle tour, we learned that the island’s earliest inhabitants, the Calusa Indians, built mounds and retaining walls from shells. We saw one such wall at Otter Mound Park on the island.

On our CREW Bird Rookery Swamp guided walk, we learned that the trail was created on an old railroad track. In 1921, the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad extended its Haines City Branch south to Immokalee. The rail-road has since been removed, although there is evidence of it along the walk.

EXCEPTIONAL HOMES.

EXCEPTIONALLY MARKETED.

On the sunset paddle, we learned that all different types of birds come together on one tiny island to spend the night. They fly in at sunset and leave in the early morning. It’s a beautiful sight!

We’ve had speakers teach us about nature in Florida, Medi-care, and the benefits of Florida residency and hypnosis.

We’ve gone to the movies (and ate movie-theater pop-corn!) because we’ve had our own private theater!

We’ve given back to the com-munity by donating bikes, food, money, school supplies, toys, household goods, furniture,

pet needs and much-needed blood. Pelican Marsh residents continue to amaze me with their generosity!

We’ve ventured to places in our own backyard that we’ve never taken the time to go to, such as Lover’s Key State Park.

We’ve taken art classes to keep our creative juices flowing.

We’ve stayed healthy by walking and biking a lot! Some of us have learned to play bocce, pickleball or tennis when maybe we wouldn’t have taken the time during a more social season.

We’ve learned how to use Zoom, Facebook and email to stay connected with others and attend meetings, lectures and Bible study groups that otherwise might not have been an option.

We’ve learned how to enjoy shopping in a different way — by supporting local vendors who come to our community with fresh, wholesome and healthy choices.

We’ve learned a lot! And we’ve been through a lot — some of us more than others. But all in all, I believe it’s been a good season.

Most of us were able to (even-tually) see our friends and fami-lies, even if it was across a driveway or spread out in some sort of “socially distanced” fashion. We learned to appreci-ate the little things in life, and maybe we have a new appre-ciation for the things that are truly important.

So, perhaps it is a season to remember, not one to forget. And as we reflect on this memo-rable season, let us not forget the friends and family members that we’ve lost, as well as those who have suffered. Let’s remember them in our hearts as we remember the Season of 2020-2021 as the season to never forget.

Stay healthy and keep smil-ing. Hopefully, we’ll have one super fun, exciting, huge, dance-the-night-away-party in the fall!

Cheers to you all for your support and patience. I hope you have a healthy and fun summer.

Please see page 18 for more photos from this season's events.

Safety and the power of “Hello”By Lynn (Albert) Atzingen, Director of Activities

For your safety, please use our beautiful sidewalks for walk-ing! To promote social distanc-ing during this pandemic, we suggest walking on the side-walk facing the traffic to pre-vent passing walkers from the opposite direction.

If you are heading east toward Airport Road, walk on the side-walk on your left.

If heading west toward U.S. 41, walk on the sidewalk on your left.

For everyone's safety, please do not walk in the bike lanes or on the street. There have been several near accidents because a biker was forced into traffic because of a walker being in the bike lane. If you feel it neces-sary to walk off the sidewalk to pass someone, please stay in the grassy area.

Adult bikes should not be on the sidewalks.

Bike in the bike lane on the same side of the road as if you were driving!

If you walk or ride in the eve-nings, please use reflective gear!

We are all in this together, doing the best we can during these difficult times. Please be kind to each other! Even if you’re social distancing, a smile, a nod of the head or a simple hello can make a difference in someone’s day. And yours!

B e h a v i o r a l research demon-strates that little things make a big difference when it comes to social interaction. Saying hello is one of those little things. Yet, all too often, we don't do it. As we walk, most of us have a lot

going on — around us and in our minds. We're thinking about that impending due date or that text message we probably shouldn't have sent. We're listening to

music through headphones or focusing all our mental energy on something else going on in our lives. But these blinders leave us less aware of what's

happening around us. We're less connected to other members of our community when we walk briskly, head down, lost in thought and thumbing through

our phone. Whether or not

we mean to, we send a message when we do this. While you know quite well that you're a friendly and we lcoming person who's just temporarily busy, distracted or run-ning late, passersby

form less generous impressions. So, the next time you walk, take the time to kindly wave or say hello.

Just a Reminder...Stop Signs mean STOP

COMPLETELY RENOVATED – COASTAL SOPHISTICATION

We have a new food vendor!By Lynn (Albert) Atzingen, Director of Activities

We are even more thankful on “Thankful Tuesdays,” now that we have a new food ven-dor, Trulli Pasta, which will be delivering delicious Italian food every Tuesday to the Com-munity Center parking lot from noon to 1 p.m. It’s not necessary to pre-order.

If you are concerned about eating pasta because of the carbs and weight control, this is what Trulli has to say about that!

“If you’re looking for empty carbs, you won’t find those here. Trulli Pasta is made with semo-lina wheat imported from Italy. A diet rich in protein, fiber and B vitamins supports heart health, weight control and digestion. Our pasta Trulli delivers on all three!

“We promise you have never had pasta as delicious and sat-isfying as ours. The reason is simple, our ingredients are of the finest quality, hand-picked to create a perfect flavor profile and texture unmatched by our competitors. No artificial addi-tives ever!”

Here’s a little bit about Trulli Pasta according to the owners, Domenico and Barbara!

Heirloom recipes and high-quality, traditional ingredi-ents have always been funda-mental to the restaurateurs and husband-and-wife team, Domenico and Barbara Bosco. Trulli Pasta is an ode to their Italian heritage and food,

combined with modern tech-niques, to create pastas and sauces that can be cooked simply in your kitchen.

An unsatisfiable passion to share irresistible dishes from their native Italy led Domenico and Barbara to go from serv-ing meals in their Naples res-taurant to shipping artisan pastas and sauces around the United States.

Domenico was born and raised in the Puglia region of southern Italy and Barbara is from Piedmont in the northwest section of Italy. Together, they bring unique ingredients, reci-pes and techniques that make the Trulli menu special.

Domenico’s passion for food started at the early age of 16 when his gastronomic journey began at the famous Culinary Institute of Villa Santa Maria in the region of Abruzzi in Italy. After training and refining his cuisine in his home country, Italy, and throughout Europe, Domenico moved to the United States where he met Barbara while working in restaurants.

Together, Domenico and Barbara share the same love and passion for serving fine foods and have built a dedi-cated following of customers and fans through their culi-nary journey. The classic egg varieties of Trulli Pasta come from Domenico’s mother’s recipe for waterless pasta,

made with only durum semolina and eggs.

Like this recipe, all Trulli Pasta ingredients and recipes are special to Domenico and Barbara, representing the Italy they know and love to share with others.

The name, Trulli Pasta, comes from the Italian town of Alber-obello in Domenico’s home region of Puglia, Italy. Trulli is plural for the Italian word trullo, which means cylindri-cal house with conical roof. These unique structures are constructed as small dwellings and storehouses in agricultural areas like the durum fields that produce the semolina flour essential to the Trulli brand.

All of Trulli’s main courses are cooked using the sous vide method to retain nutrients and flavors. All the food is fully cooked and delivered frozen for your convenience. Just pop it in the oven or microwave for a delicious meal!

The price is right, the food is great and you’re supporting a local business. It’s a win-win! Stop by to say hello and wel-come them to Pelican Marsh!

See you in the Community Center parking lot on Tuesdays! Produce Buddies comes from 9 a.m. to noon and both Fresh Catch and Trulli Pasta are there from noon to 1 p.m.

It’s a great day in the neigh-borhood!

Wednesday’s competitive bocce leagueBy Lynn (Albert) Atzingen, Director of Activities

What started out as a group of friends just wanting to play a competitive game of bocce, turned into a weekly gathering of competitive fun! There’s great camaraderie around this group of bocce players, and in the spirit of competition and more time on the court, some of these players have even raised their level of play! They look forward to competing each week and get grumpy if it rains. (They’re thankful to live in Florida and not Seattle!)

The league cons i s t s o f four teams. Each week, they play each team once. It has

turned into an awesome battle of fun! Most games get plenty of use of the laser tool or tape measure to decide who gets the point(s). Could this be another skill set learned, just in case they decide to become carpenters or welders? Doubtful, but in any case, the league runs for 16 weeks.

At the end of the 16 weeks, they’ll designate a first, second, third and fourth place team. But there are no losers in this league. In the end, it is just a group of friends having fun, getting fresh air and staying active. I’d call that a group of winners!

What’s your favorite ‘Marsh’ memory? Have you had a great experience at Pelican Marsh that you would like to share? In the past year, we have received a number of wonderful letters from residents and decided to make an album featuring these nice thoughts. If you would like to contribute, we’d love to include yours. Simply send your letter to us at [email protected], and thank you for helping us brag about our wonderful community.

Chomp-Chomp!And I don’t mean “Go Gators!”

By Lynn (Albert) Atzingen, Director of Activities

It’s not football season, but it is alligator mating season. What does that mean? That means, it’s moving and mating season for Florida's estimated 1.2 million alligators, and experts warn us to be aware of our surroundings.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conserva-tion Commission, courtship begins in early April, and mat-ing occurs in May or June. In search of a mate, alligators can show up in strange and unwanted places.

FWC officials recommend pet owners keep their animals on leashes and away from the water. Alligators are most active between dusk and dawn, so plan accordingly to reduce chances of running into them.

It's also more important than ever to not feed the alligators. This causes them to lose their natural fear of humans and it is illegal! Officials also say you should never deal with an alli-gator yourself. Call FWC so an

expert trapper can capture the alligator. The FWC Gator Call Line is 866-392-4286.

Keep on walk ing! Jus t watch your step and make sure you stay hydrated with some Gator-ade!

COVID angelsBy Lynn (Albert) Atzingen, Director of Activities

During the pandemic, there have been a lot of people I would consider to be “angels.”

There have been those who made a point of keeping in touch with their neighbors who might be scared and lonely, hiding behind closed doors.

There are those who have gone grocery shopping for oth-ers too vulnerable to risk going out in public.

There are the parents, who have had to work, manage a household and now teach their young children from home.

There are the grandparents, who have helped these grown children who are exhausted from this “COVID life.”

There are all the first respond-ers, who have given their time and, in some cases, have sac-rificed their health, to help the rest of us.

And, how about the grandchil-dren and great-grandchildren, who have helped the “What the heck is Zoom?” generation?

I could go on and on and on. So many invaluable angels. Thank you to all these beautiful angels!

Lately, however, there’s a new type of angel on earth. COVID

angels, helping seniors book online vaccination appoint-ments. Thank you!

For many, getting vaccination appointments has been frustrat-ing, difficult, time-consuming, and for some, infuriating. I understand! I’ve tried to help a couple of people secure appoint-ments, having no luck.

“What am I doing wrong? Why can’t I get through?” Why, why, why? And finally, “Will this ever work?”

At that point, many of us just throw in the towel, feeling helpless. Some carry on, spend-ing hours and hours, getting up before the sun, still with no luck.

We all have wondered how some people were able to get those appointments. I heard you have to be fast! I heard you have to be on a high-speed network! I heard you must have 5G! Do we even know what these things are?

I heard you must choose remote locations that no one even knew existed! I heard you have to have angel food cake for breakfast! (Just kidding!)

I heard you just have to be lucky! And that, my friends, just might be the truth.

To the rescue come the COVID angels! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Pelican Marsh has a good number of COVID angels. There are some who prefer to remain anonymous and others that I don’t have the names of, but we know you’re out there and we appreciate your time and commitment to helping others.

One of our newer Pelican Marsh residents, Abby Trexler, shared this with me:

“Helping people secure their vaccines has been really reward-ing. I am happy that I have had the chance to interact with people I may not have otherwise met, and I am grateful that I've been able to help my community in a small way.

“I just moved to Pelican Marsh in September and this act of service has made me feel more connected. It's an honor to be trusted to help someone with something so important, so I feel a bond with them even though, in some cases, I have never met them in person.

“I've heard that one couple was able to visit their son and

The only observation I can offer is the sudden surge of excitement that occurs when one sees, after many minutes of silent waiting on the inter-net site, that all of a sudden, the screen shows, “Enter your registration information, now.”

This moment was never achieved through multiple attempts on Collier County’s Eventbrite website, only at Publix.com/covid-vaccine — a friend, indeed.

Then, after racing through the personal and medical quest ions , i t asks you to finally pick a county and store location for your injection, and lastly, asks a few more

questions regarding various privacy information.

If you are incredibly lucky, it happily greets you with the time and location you requested ear-lier. But more often, you are sadly greeted with the fact that your requested location and time is no longer available. The site then asks you to cycle back, asking many of the same questions you have already answered before you can pick a new location.

And, of course, there is a drop-down menu that shows available appointments at the remaining locations, with their number melting away as the wishes of a few lucky applicants are granted.

Just a remembrance to share, from my wife and me, with our six devices working simulta-neously in our night clothes, f inally snagging appoint-ments for us and five friends, though appointments for six other friends melted to zero (they eventually got appoint-ments through other friends simultaneously working on their behalf) — it truly “took a village!”

One positive report is, that once we were able to secure a location at a Publix within 30 minutes of home, the service had no waiting, even if we were early, and was fast and professional!

grandchildren after a year apart. And someone else felt reassured that they could continue to care for family members and not worry about getting sick.

“It doesn't take much for me to take the time to help, so I feel bad taking any ‘credit.’ But I know it makes a difference for others, and I want people to know they can get help if they need it.”

Another resident, Donna Goldstein, had this to share:

“We made friends with a neighbor, who we would see every day at our morning swim. He said that he wanted to get the vaccine prior to his upcoming surgery. He did not own a com-puter and did not know how to get an appointment.

“I promised him we would get him the vaccine by being persis-tent! We were able to book an appointment for him by getting up early on several occasions (6 a.m.) and going on the Publix website. We were also able to get an appointment for his wife by calling the Senior Center in Naples.

“They were so grateful that they dropped off Omaha steaks! It takes a village.”

Other COVID angels, such as Kim Forrestal and Marcia and Jim Sanchack, say they are help-ing others because they want to “Pay it forward!”

When asking about COVID

angels, two names were brought to my attention time and time again. Rhonda Brazina and Jane Shuey.

Rhonda’s husband, Steve, proudly boasts, “Rhonda has been doing an amazing job booking COVID shots for doz-ens of seniors in Pelican Marsh. You will get plenty of accolades if you inquire as to what she has been doing every day for the past month.”

And Beth DiFrank shared, “I would like to nominate Rhonda Brazina for our COVID angel. Not only has she, herself, directly gotten friends vaccine appointments, she also dis-seminated information to oth-ers, including me, that enabled us to help others! Great work Rhonda! 💕”

Jane Shuey organizes a large group of tennis ladies in Pelican Marsh. The group is always quick to help those in need. This time, Jane, along with several of her tennis friends, Kathy O’Neill, Helen Sharp, Rhonda Brazina, Pat Jordan, Gail Gor-ran, Jewell Trumbo and Margy Caccia, dedicated their time to being COVID angels for many people in Pelican Marsh.

Jewell says, “Jane Shuey has done an excellent job of helping people get online Publix appointments. I got an appointment today because

one of her helpers called Dan (Jewell’s husband) to see if we’d go to Sarasota. I had just gotten through to make an appoint-ment. Everyone I tried was already filled, so we looked at Sarasota, and amazingly, I got an appointment. Jane is a real blessing to all of us.”

Since this time, Dan has also been able to get a vaccine!

Some of our other COVID angels are:Steve Berke and Ann de SeldingDon and Eileen BianchiLynn DanzigEllen GabrielKathy GuaraldoEileen LeoneBecky PalmerElizabeth SalmondNatalie SchmachtKathy and Angelo ScolieriLinda SimsNancy SpiwakCindy VillarosaDave and Sue Wallace

Once again, thank you to all of our COVID angels! No mat-ter what kind of angel you are, you are appreciated and loved for your dedication to helping others. Pelican Marsh, and the world, is a better place because of your efforts. Successful, or sometimes not, your acts of self-lessness do not go unnoticed.

Cheers to all of you!
