The Safari Guys have had the privilege of traveling to and experiencing Southern Africa's nest destinations. The journey's we have created are heart-crafted and our promise to you is that we will treat your African travel dream with exquisite care.Founder and director, Ron Mackenzie, has been involved in the luxury travel market for 10 years and has worked directly with A-list Hollywood actors (i.e. Leonardo DiCaprio), Prime Ministers, Ambassadors, Princes, protocol ofcers, CEO's, events companies, concierge desks and sports personalities (i.e. Sven Goran Ericsson and Floyd Mayweather).

Driven by a passion to deliver to the most discerning of international travelers, Ron considers his years in the corporate travel market as the foundation of his work ethic namely to deliver a very simple word - 'YES’. Having worked with groups traveling throughout South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Angola, Hong Kong, Monaco, Australia and the Pacic Islands he believes it is vital to visit the destinations you promote before sending your clients there.

Jenny Da Luz, partner and director, is one of a hand full of young female entrepreneurs who achieved phenomenal success in starting, growing and selling a highly successful company in less than 8 years to one of the largest DMC’s in sub-Saharan Africa.

As a degreed professional in tourism management and having worked in the industry for 16 years, she has a passion for delivering unique experiences combined with personalised attention. From bespoke travel to incentive groups, Jenny strives to create lasting impressions and happy memories for all our clients.

A lot of our success is based on us having experienced the destinations rst hand. We know what the coffees’ like, how far the beach is from your villa, the General Manager is on speed dial and what the best restaurant is as well as how far away it is from your room. Reason being - we've had the pleasure of being there and doing that!'

At best, when people contact us with their travel requests, we are there to make their dreams come true. Not something we take lightly….

The name Madikwe translates as ‘place of blood’, ‘the crocodile’ and ‘wealth’ in the indigenous languages of the area, and as such is synonymous with wilderness.

Madikwe has a rich heritage, being first home to the ancient San people, and then to Nguni tribes migrating south. Later, missionaries and cattle farmers settled in the area and eked out an existence in the rugged terrain. In the 19th century, Madikwe was part of the Bechuanaland protectorate, and the land, which now forms the reserve, saw action during the Anglo-Boer War of 1899 – 1902. All these myriad histories and experiences linger at Madikwe, making it a unique space in the Southern African landscape.

Handed down over generations, Lion Sands Lodge in the world-renowned Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve is a place crafted over time with great passion and delight. It has been a challenge to create a Lodge that does justice to its unbelievable surroundings. When you’ve got a massive, gushing river on your doorstep, you should probably make it a feature, and so the perennial Sabi River, which runs right past the Lodge, forms the spectacular backdrop to your experience at Lion Sands. We are always respectful of the bush and we left the wide-open spaces untouched, which is what makes Lion Sands such an iconic safari lodge. The big five roam here, the African landscape stretches as far as the eye can see and it is with our great love for this land that we carefully preserved it all and built a lodge where it could be enjoyed.

The Cape Cadogan, a National Monument was always an iconic building in Gardens; moving from a domestic dwelling it had been converted to offices and occupied by a communications company for 25 years when it came on the market in 2003 and was bought be Aine and Brian Clancy. They were committed to ensuring the iconic status and integrity of the building was maintained. During 2003/2004 they led the conversion of the building into the Cape Cadogan; a concept that would allow guests from across the world the opportunity to live a very different hotel experience. The Cape Cadogan opened its doors to its first guests in February 2004 and has since hosted in excess of 8,000 guests. In 2006 Robert & Britt More met Brian & Aine by a fateful coincidence and after much discussion and sharing of ideals and vision for the property they decided to partner in the ownership of this unique hotel.
