Manitouwadge Nuclear Waste Community Liaison Committee Meeting
Thursday, November 15th, 7:00 pm Municipal Council Chambers
Prior to the meeting a drop-in session will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm and NWMO staff will be seeking community input on the Values and Principles that will help guide potential future partnership discussions.

2019 Early Bird Dog/Cat Tag Sale Promotion
From December 1st, 2018 until December 21st, 2018 at 2:00 pm, dog/
cat pet owners who purchase their 2019 cat/dog tags will be charged a special rate. Regular cat/dog tag prices will resume January 2nd,
2019
and all cats/dogs are to be licensed annually and before January 31st, 2019.
Did you know…If a cat/dog currently registered with the Township has left home and is wearing its dog/cat tag, you the owner can be contacted quickly and your pet gets one free ride home, (providing your pet is not problematic). Cat/dog tag fees are also used to assist Protective Services in identifying our pet population and to offset animal control costs.
When animal by-law complaints are confirmed by the MLEO against unlicensed dogs/cats, pet owners may be fined for not licensing any and/or all of their pets. Minimum fines are set at $125.00 for each pet dog/cat. In addition, a $50.00 pound fee per day may be applied. Pet owners are not to exceed more six (6) animals total per household.

Become a Volunteer Fire Fighter! Manitouwadge Volunteer Fire Department is looking for Volunteer Firefighters. Males and Females over the age of 18 are invited to apply.
This is a great way to become an active part of the community and acquire new skills that will reward you and the community.
Qualification Criteria: Minimum age of 18 Physically fit Have completed grade 12 or equivalent Hold valid Ontario Drivers Licence Criminal Background Check required Willing to abide by the rules and policies outlined by the MFD

All appointments will be made at the December 12th, 2018 Regular Meeting of Council. The term for all appointments will coincide with the current term of Municipal Council from December 1st, 2018 until November 30th, 2022.
Library Board
The Board shall seek to provide a comprehensive and efficient public library service that reflects the community’s unique needs.
Manitouwadge Nuclear Waste Community Liaison Committee
Engage, educate and listen to the community of Manitouwadge regarding the NWMO’s Site Selection Process. Gather technical and social research and information related to the NWMO’s Site Selection Process. Provide advice to Township Council regarding the NWMO’s Site Selection Process and Adaptive Phased Management.
Manitouwadge Cemetery Committee
The Cemetery Committee meets approximately two times per year and provides input in conjunction with municipal staff regarding the maintenance and care of the cemetery and surrounding grounds, as well as recognizing the importance of monitoring the upkeep of the cemetery.
