TRANSCRIPT
The Helping Other Phoenix Employees Fund Program (HOPE
Fund) is a component of the city of Phoenix Employees’
Community Service Fund Drive (CSFD). This fund is designed to
lessen an employee’s financial burden caused by an unexpected
event not under their control.
The fund is designed to offer eligible participants an alternative
if other known sources of financial aid for basic household
expenses are unavailable. These would include food, housing
and utilities.
The HOPE Fund is funded from employee pledges, designated
to Agency #9201 made during the CSFD campaign, as well as a
portion of non-earmarked special event monies received.
The HOPE Fund application may be found at the following

FYI... WATER WATCH
Did you know April is Arizona Water
Awareness Month? The Water Services
Department encourages all employees to
participate by educating themselves on the
city’s water supply. Here are 5 facts to get
you started:
Phoenix gets around 95% of its water
from the Salt, Verde and Colorado
Rivers. Salt and Verde water is delivered
by the Salt River Project, while Colorado
River water is delivered by the Central
Arizona Project canal.
Most of the river water comes from
snow melting on mountains to the north
in the spring.
The city treats and reuses most of its
wastewater for non-edible crops, to
generate power and to restore our river
beds.
Phoenix has eight water treatment
plants, two of which are wastewater
treatment plants.
Phoenix invests to protect the water
supplies. Unused water is “banked” for
the future by storing water
underground.
