1921, BSC is the premier and most experienced Bearing and

PT product distributor in Australasia. Proud of its Australian

owned heritage, we are primarily engaged in the supply of

Bearings and Power Transmission products. Today, BSC employs

around 350 permanent staff and operates over 50 branches in all

states around Australia.

The BSC product range is the largest of its type and is supported

by a large distribution network of more than 100 computer-linked

branches and authorized distributors to ensure that our broad

stock range is available in all areas throughout Australasia

including PNG, New Caledonia, Fiji, Solomon Islands, etc.

Comprehensive bulk stock and accounts are managed using

an IBM AS400 server platform.

Over the years BSC has built a reputation as a respected supplier

of quality products and services. Since 1995 BSC has been

licensed as a Quality Endorsed Company (QEC4475) and regularly

audited and certified by SAI Global Limited to comply with the

requirements of AS/NZ ISO 9001:2008 for the procurement,

Chain Installation & MaintenanceRoller & conveyor chains require proper installation and maintenance to ensure longevity

in service. Here we cover how to measure chain wear, sprocket condition, installation, and

lubrication and maintenance requirements.

Bearing Handling & StorageBearings are a precision component which can be damaged by incorrect handling and storage!

Understanding how to correctly handle and store bearings to ensure they are not inadvertently

damaged prior to installation, will reduce premature failures often experienced shortly after

machines are repaired.

Fitting Spherical Roller & Self-Aligning Ball BearingsA practical tutorial aimed at providing

mechanical fitters with the correct

methodology for fitting these bearings. Topics

include shaft finish and tolerances, correct

mounting procedure for tapered bore bearings

onto adapter sleeves, setting radial internal

clearance, sealing considerations, and more!

V-Belt & Pulley InstallationUnderstanding the correct way to install v-belts

and pulleys is essential to ensure long service

life. Participants will learn the value of correct

pulley alignment, accurate v-belt tensioning

practices, and how to identify common v-belt

failure causes.

Bearing LubricationCorrect lubrication practices are vital to ensure
