Educational and Treatment Program for Disabled Children with

    Language Disorders

    Dr. Lina Omar Bin Saddiq

Professor Assestent, Department of Special Education Deploma

    King Abdul Aziz Univercity

    Abstract

This sheet aims at introducing a clear picture about the linguistic

characterstic of the disabled children, its effect on their academic levels, in

addition to the focus on the educational and treatment programs introduced to

these children. To achieve such goal, the researcher has gone through the

previous studies that tackled this subject.. Since these language disorders are

clear in those children who face different types of hearing impaired, mental

retardation, and learning disabilities. So, it is treatment offered to those children

which are based on teaching the child the language skills through following up

the different stages of language development in a natural environment suitable

for them. This can also be achieved through the use of intersiting teaching

methods, which help them to learn the language skills such as playing, exchanging of roles, the principle of behavior modification as a helping procedure in designing and

applying the educational and treatment programs.
