Blessed Mother Needlepoint

Portrait Raffle Tickets on Sale Now

Beginning this weekend, we will be offering our parishioners a chance to win the beautiful, hand-crafted

needlepoint portrait of Our Blessed Mother holding the Infant

Jesus shown above. In this depiction, Our Lady is shown standing, cuddling Her

Precious Son, surrounded by white lilies. The soft, delicate colors of blue, ivory, pale yellow and green are used to create this beautiful work. Iridescent

threads create a softly shimmering halo around the Madonna and Child. Tiny, golden crystal beads form the glistening stamens of the

lilies. The attention to fine detail is

amazing. Framed in a lovely “gold-leaf”

wooden frame with raised, carved flourishes along the perimeter, the picture measures 15 inches wide by 23.5 inches high and is

ready to hang on a standard picture hook.

The delicate stitches of this needlepoint portrait make this a true work of art created with

loving hands! What a perfect Christmas gift for a beloved mother or grandmother, or for anyone who loves Our Lady! Stop by the display in the Narthex for a chance to see this beautiful handcrafted needlepoint up close. The Raffle tickets will be sold

for $2.00 each

The drawing will take place on the Third Sunday of Advent, Gaudete

Sunday, December 16th.

Mater Ecclesiae Concert

Join us on Sunday, November 4th at 2:00 PM for an organ and voice recital featuring our organist Karl Tricomi, along with musical director Nicholas Beck and our soprano soloist Lauren Walters.

The recital is presented to raise money for the landscaping of our Chapel entry. Because it is open to the general public it will be a wonderful opportunity to welcome new parishioners.

Tickets are $12.00 for adults, $8.00 for students and seniors. They can be purchased at the door.

Based upon the success of this recital, we hope to develop a regular concert series to benefit Mater Ecclesiae, so we encourage everyone to attend and bring friends and family.
