Celador Films

Ownership Celador films were founded in 1983 by Jasper Carrott.

Jasper Carrot was the reason the company was set up due to needing a company to produce his tv show.

Celador was bought by complete communications.

Celador films are part of Celador Entertainment as they are an independent company who refuse to be bought by a bigger company, for now. Although they had previously been bought, they bought them selves back.

Operating model Celador is a small production company which makes

films on a project basis. they contract freelance staff to get there films made, which means that they are there only to make a certain type of film.

Small company's like this normally get there funding from initial capitalism e.g bank loans they also got a substantially large funding pathe who payed for distribution.

The decent got funded by putting its own profit into a new project (the decent) who then sold the rights to Pathe.

They are currently working on fim production, radio broadcasting, theatrical production and music publishing.

Also celador produce radio and theater, which is quite successful. They have a radio station called breeze fm.

Market Position Celador films are in competition with ticket sales and then when the

DVD is released.

Even though celador are a small company they are pretty successful.

Sony are big competitors of celador films due to there big budget releases when Celador only make cheep films.

Celador are in competition with other companies such as film 4 and Sony. Film four released films such as this is England. Sony produced films such as the amazing spider man two. There is an obvious comparison between sony and celedor.

In Celador, profit was good due to it being the only independent film company in England, this shows that it gets a lot of profit from its films such as The decent which made a larger profit than This Is England
