Nepalese Science & Technology System
Science & Technology (S&T) was considerednecessary determinant for industrial & economicdevelopment during Fifth Plan.
At First, National Council for Science & Technology(NCST) developed under National PlanningCommission in 1976.
Secondly, Royal Nepal Academy for Science &
Technology (ROAST) established in 1982. Thirdly, Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST) in
1996.

A. Development & ExpansionA high-level National Science & Technology Council & coordination
committee will be constituted for national vision & policy

Education, travel, tourism, media are highly affectedby IT in Nepal.
Government of Nepal (GON) adopted ElectronicTransactions Act, 2007.
