Listen to This Music --------Devoted to You

Darling you can count on me‘Til the sun dries up the sea

Until then I’ll always be devoted to youI’ll be yours till endless time

I’ll adore your charms sublimeGuess by now you know

That I’m devoted to you

I’ll never hurt youI’ll never lie

I’ll never be untrue I’ll never give you reason to cryI’d be unhappy if you were blue

Thru the years my love will grow like a riverIt will flow

It can’t dieBecause I’m devoted to you

Communicative Function:Invitations

In your college years you will often find occasions when you want to invite your friends out for a dinner, a show or something else. There are also occasions when you yourself are invited. How do you approach someone and extend an invitation? How do you do it appropriately to increase your chance of success? How do you respond when you are invited? How do you accept or decline an invitation without giving offence? Remember, if you have to turn down an invitation, it’s always polite to apologize and give a reason why you can’t make it. In the box below you’ll find some sentences and structures that you can use when asking or being asked for a date.
