Temple Grandin, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Animal Sciences at Colorado State University is known for her work on animal behavior and livestock handling. She has been featured on major television and radio programs such as 20/20, Primetime Live, the Today Show, NP, and written up in national publications such as Time, People, US News & Reports and the New York Times. Her writing on flight zone and other principles of grazing animal behavior have helped reduce stress on animals during handling. She has conducted extensive research on livestock handling facilities as well as cattle temperament. Dr. Grandin is the author of “Thinking in Pictures”, “Livestock Handling and Transport”, “Genetics and the Behavior of Domestic Animals” and her newest New York Times Bestseller “Animals in Translation: Using the Mysteries of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior.”
