FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Caregivers Thank you for the part you have played in a positive, successful year for Upper Swan Primary School.

Car Park and Kiss and Drop A pre-start meeting was held for the Kiss and Drop and car park on Monday 2 December. Preparation work will commence on Friday 20 December – the day after students leave. This will include the removal of some trees – as identified in the planning shared earlier this year. Current indications are there will be a period of two weeks at the beginning of Term 1 where the parent carpark and Kiss and Drop cannot be used. Parking During this time please consider alternatives to the parent car park. These may include: Parking in Nolan Avenue and walking to school. This will take between

6 and 15 minutes. Car-pooling with other families from a location near your home. Meeting other families at a location closer to the school and car-pooling

from there. Please do not park on the slip road or on the footpath. Please do not park in the staff car park. Please see the attached map Please give this serious consideration, particularly for the first day of school when families like to walk children to their new class. Kiss and Drop The temporary Kiss and Drop will be located on the slip road, in front of

the pedestrian gate at the front of the school. One bus stop will be utilised as currently indicated by the bus stop sign,

located between the entry and exit gates of the current parent car park. Please do not park on the slip road or on the footpath.

Thank you for your anticipated patience and courtesy in relation to

these temporary changes. Staffing In 2020 we will have some of our permanent teaching staff returning to Upper Swan Primary School. We look forward to them re-joining the Upper Swan Primary School team. Sadly we farewell Ms Sharina Ireland, Ms Amanda Lack and Miss Jeanette Bell. Thank you to these teachers for their service and dedication to the students at Upper Swan. We wish them well for 2020 and beyond. We look forward to seeing all students when they return to school on Monday 3 February 2020. On behalf of the staff at Upper Swan Primary School I wish your families a safe and happy holiday. SCHOOL NEWS School Uniform Shop Upper Swan Primary School uniforms are now available for purchase online via Perm-A-Pleat Schoolwear, with the choice of collecting your order from the school or having it delivered to your preferred address for a flat rate of $10 incl GST. Uniform shop will be open on Friday 31 January 2020 for online order collections at 12pm—2pm.

Faction shirts, hats and sale items are also available for purchase on the day.
